WARNING: THIS CHARACTER CONCEPT IS HUGE. IT HAS TAKEN ME A WHILE TO GET THEM THIS FAR IN DRAFT 1.

(Author's note, these characters are only in the first draft stage. Keep that in mind when commenting. Thanks! Additional information, the champs were made for each other. But, they do compliment other champs as well. Jae is a mighty supp and Rose is a great adc. Also, most other supps will activate Rose's passive. Such as Morg, Soraka, and so on.)

Hi everyone,

First off, I know creating a character concept with two people is weird, but I really wanted to introduce these people together since they are similar.

Also, since I am introducing these characters together I am making it so that they work perfectly alongside each other.

Here are the roles:

Jae:

(P) Marksman (S) Support

Rose: (P) Mage (S) Marksman

(Due to some errors pointed out in the commets. Their roles (jg, adc, supp) have been changed and narrowed down.)

Jae & Rose:

Either Adc/Supp.

However, if you wanted to pair these two. You could so something like this:

Jg/Top (Jg would stay mostly top)

Jg/Mid (Jg could move between top/bot)

Adc/Supp

Their main roles are Adc/Supp however.

Here are their abilities (Jae then Rose). (The updated E effects are credited to JanusRuE)

Jae (P = Passive):

P: Jae is keen in the art of changing Fate. Upon his reaching of (x) amount of stacks his next ability deals true damage, and heals him for 10% of the damage dealt.

Q: Jae sends forth a bolt of energy that deals (x) damage, along with a slow.

W: Jae forces fate to knit the torn flesh of his allies back together. Allies receive a heal that does (x) amount.

E: Jae creates a sphere that has two effects

Allies: Jae allows his allies to see the fate of the battle. This will cause them to fight more effectively. Ally effects are amplified and refreshed (i.e. speed movement increase of 10% to something like 20%. Also, an effect with like two seconds left gains back some time).

Enemies: Jae tricks his enemies into a false sense of security. As they move past the sphere their positive effects are turned to negatives (i.e. increased speed to a slow). Note, this sphere does damage if it is summoned on enemies champs.

R: Jae calls upon the essence of fate, he tears the stories of the villains which in turn deals excessive amounts of damage. Enemies that are within (x) radius are snared in place.

Now, Rose.

Rose:

P: Rose's time with Jae has taught the unseen arts of magic. She is able to deal more damage to enemies inflicted with ailments. Damage is increased by 15%.

Q: Rose pulls the essence of her enemies to tether them in place, dealing (x) amount of damage.

W: Rose dashes forth and flings mystic daggers through her enemies until it hits an enemy champion.

E: Rose forms a shield around herself the reflects damage to enemies. Enemies damaged by this ability are slowed. Also, if the shield bearer is healed while the shield is active their ailments are removed and they gain movement speed.

R: Rose moves through the world unseen until reaching her targeted (ally/enemy) champion. Moving towards an ally grants them both a temporary shield upon impact. Moving towards an enemy deals damage to the target upon impact.

Ability names:

(This time Rose then Jae)

P (passive): Forgotten Grace Q: Fatal Binding
W: Field of Knives E: Fateful Spells R: Forsaken Speed

Now Jae:

P: Fateweaver's Gift Q: Destiny Bolt
W: Hand of Fate E: Eye of Fate R: Storyteller

Stats:

(Jae then Rose.)

Health: 535.35 (+75 per level) Health Regen: 6.205 (+.5 per level) Attack Damage: 50.890 (+3.6 per level) Attack Speed: .660 (+3.2% per level) Movement Speed: 340 (+0 per level) Armor: 25.225 (+3.20 per level) Magic Resist: 30 (+0)

Now Rose:

Health: 520.74 (+80 per level) Health Regen: 7.205 (+0.65 per level) Attack Damage: 45.206 (+2.8 per level) Attack Speed: .685 (+3.9% per level) Movement Speed: 325 (+0 per level) Armor: 20.25 (+3 per level) Magic Resist: 30 (+0 per level)

(Now my favorite part: Backstory)

I rushed this backstory because I had something I needed to get done. It will be improved momentarily.

Rose and Jae are practically the closest people in the known universe. Their families are old friends that bonded over one thing: war.

They were born exactly 2 weeks within of each other, and ever since the first time they met they were inseparable. They grew close in a brotherly-sisterly way. They grew so close that when they turned of age they went off to train in the arts of magic. But, not just any magic.

Jae was always interested in the concept of fate, whereas Rose was interested in the powers of conjuring. Together, with endless perseverance and determination, they unlocked the hidden magic of Fate.

A wild and crazy magic that is too powerful to be written down or even tamed, but by some miracle they managed to contain it. Jae learned how to control the essence of fate while Rose learned how to mend it to her will.

Fascinated with their discoveries, they made a pact to enter the League of Legends to test out their new found abilities. One part of them wanting to see to their magic in action, but the other half wanting to ignite their war-born blood.

Appearances (least favorite part, I mainly do gimmes of my characters):

Jae (I say ribbons because I do not know how else to describe them, and mainly because that is what they are):

Jae wears a dark leather piece on his chest. His arms are covered to about his elbows with hand wraps (fingerless gloves). They are metal (the metal is silver) plated with "ribbons" lacing all around his arms (the "ribbons" are midnight/royal blue). A pair of dark leather pants are tucked into his boots (that are somewhere between midnight blue and black). The boots' strings are a lighter color (debating what color).

He has pale blue eyes and unruly dark brown hair.

(Alright, Rose will be finished later. Something else came up.)

Rose:

Rose wears a simple blue and white gown. The sleeves are a lacy pattern that don't connect with the dress itself. Instead, they hang loosely around her hands (kind of like Ahri's). The dress is corseted and patterned with white flowers on a blue base. The rest of the outfit is a lacy net that wraps around her neck and falls just below her sapphire choker. A dark pair of leggings are tucked into a pair of hard, brown leather boots (with a heel). The hem (skirt) of the dress falls an inch above her knees.

Her facial features are simple. Dark, dark red hair (i.e. her name Rose) that falls down around her and end in small curls. Her eyes are big and beautiful pale grey. They stick out with her dark eyeshadow and harsh liner. Her lips are a soft, glossy pink that almost seem to sparkle.

I fear while your concept is nice, designing champions to complement another is not riots style. Secondly, riot has stated they moved away from having champs that fit into multiple roles, that's why certain champs get buffed or debuffed.

I feel Jae's kit looks a bit overloaded (heals, attack speed, move speeds, slow, blind/nearsight, silence, snare), and it does have to much healing (passively heals like Heimer, with a straight heal, an AoE zone heal ability, AND a global team heal). Riot said they don't like healing because it is very game slowing, and it makes the matches boring. Soraka was said to be the healer of the game (and very toxic because of her ability to safely slow the game down SOOO much) so I don't think they would add another character with more healing ability than her. Short duration shields are seen as much healthier for game play vs heals, but utility and versatility are even better. Taric can do everything (heal, shield, give armor, CC, and DOUBLE AoE invincy ult), Naut and Leona focus on CCing targets so the ADC can tear them down or run away, and Thresh's charm comes from his play making displacement and lantern saving. healing is a good staple for a supports kit, but it isnt everything or even needed all the time. I'm saying cut the healing down to one ability, and find a more focused theme with the kit. The speed buffs, slow/snare zone control seemed to click with the idea of him calling on and forcing fate to his will (at least in my head)... how about a zone that speeds up allies until enemies step into it, but when they do they are slowed? or an ability that amplifies speed bonuses on friendlies, and turns enemy bonuses into negatives? think of something crazy and off the wall, something that would make you want to play this champion over another one.

I know Rose isn't complete but I feel the current abilities seem a bit bland. A passive that makes you immune to all damage at the same time it reflects it back seems like a no skill hard counter to glass cannons, more or less I think it would be a very toxic passive. If could work if it was a spell shield style ability with a long cooldown (think a Sivir spell shield + Fiora riposte) . dash+3 attacks has been used in Kindred's kit, not to mention other dash+attack abilities like Ezreal, Kalista, Ekko, Fiora. So it feels recycles, BUT I do like the idea of her having an attack that does more damage on slowed targets (good synergy with the oppressor mastery). I think it would be cool if it scaled with how big of a slow they had, and if they were rooted it would do even more damage. The last ability reminds me of Caitlyn's Q with a siege element (which they removed from Heimer a LONG time ago, and Azir more recently... sooo it seems like it would be a no go for a new champion) BUT again i do like the idea of her being healed and she can move faster. What if she did have a Spell Riposte Shield thingy that would reflect back damage and slow enemies damaged by it, and if she is healed while the shield is on it would remove slows and give her a speed boost?

That being said, brothers, sisters, friends, master/students are in the game already but they tend to fill the exact same role or different roles that keep them outside of the same lane. I think it would be interesting to have twin champions who complement one another. Having a pair released back to back (or at the same time!?!) that can be played as ADC/Support, top/jungle, mid/jungle would be interesting... like twins who took different paths, the doctor and the soldier, BUT I think it could only work if they can operate without loosing anything if the other is not both in game. which would make things really tricky because if the synergy is to good it limits team comps because they NEED to be played as a pair. If the synergy is weak or just bad why play them as a pair if another champion could fill the one of the roles better, defeating the reason to release them together... tricky tricky, but interesting idea.

As soon as i saw Rakan and Xayah i remembered your post and my comment... i also remember someone saying riot would never do this, lol.
