##Lore

Rhea grew up in a small Demacian village close to the border of Noxus. Most of her childhood was helping her mother around the house or playing with the other kids in the village. She, unfortunately, lost her father when she was still an infant. Other then that she enjoyed her peaceful life. Then one day all that she knew and enjoyed was shattered in less then a day. Noxian troops marched upon the village at the break of dawn. They set fire to the buildings, took many of the villagers prisoners, and killed those who resisted them. Rhea watched in horror as a soldier beheaded her mother, trying to protect her, and soon after was taken with the others to Noxus. When she arrived, she was delivered as a servant to a cruel lord, who sometimes tasked her with things that she would much rather remain forgotten. She had remained living this life up until her early teen years. One night she got hold of the key keeper locked within the lord's mansion. Before she slipped out, however, a last second thought popped in her mind. She wasn't going to let someone as cruel and tyrannical as he was keep seeing the light of day. So she sneaked up to where the lord slumbered and jabbed a dagger into his throat while he still slept. Aside from the small twitch his body made when she did this, he didn't make a sound. After that, she raced out of the mansion and out of Noxus under the cover of night.

Rhea then traveled for weeks without rest until she came to Demacia. Here she was sheltered and cared for after her long and troubled journey. A few weeks after arriving she decided to join the military. After a few years of training, she was assigned as second-in-command to a small regiment in the Dauntless Vanguard. Soon after being assigned, the regiment was to guard a small but vital outpost in the wilds. After nearly three months spent there, as the sun went down, they were ambushed by Noxian troops. They swarmed around their position, fighting everywhere in the moonless night. The commander, surprised her in saying that they needed to retreat. Rhea argued, however, that if they losed this point Noxus would be able to have a clear path into their country. The commander tried to order her to give the retreat when more Noxian soldiers jumped them. They survived the conflict, but Rhea noticed that the commander had been gravely injured. Then at that moment something raced through her mind again, like with the lord. She wasn't going to let a anyone, not even a high rank commander like her, give any order to retreat, not after they've been taught of their policy. She had to take charge right now over her. But she would only be able to do that if she was dead. So, while the commander's back was turned, she slowly drew a sword from the slain soldiers and when the commander turned back, she ran it right through her heart. The commander, with one last look of despair and distress at Rhea, fell back, her body quickly becoming lifeless. When some of the regiment troops arrived shortly after, she made up quickly of how the commander died. They thoroughly believed her as she intended. She knew they wouldn't second guess her while she was second in command and while they're under attack, nor the fact that they wouldn't believe that one of them betrayed their own. She rejoined the remaining troops there, rallied their spirits together, and as the sun's rays began to rise, had driven back the attackers.

When news reach back to the people of the attack and the hero who helped fend them off, the king hosted a celebration for Rhea on her return to the capital. For her honor, bravery, loyalty and leadership, the king created a whole new military branch, known as the Stormcast Legion, and appointed her as the highest commanding officer of this new division, centurion. Many of the people, including the king's son, Jarvan the IV, were absolutely surprised that the king had gifted her with such a thing. However it felt to the king that if she had not done what she did, their country could've been in great peril. The small outpost was more important then most people thought it was, being that it was right next to a very thick forest that you could barely see in it. A perfect way to have Noxus troops sneak into the country. However, even with a new regiment at her command along with honor and praise from the king, she felt almost angry with him. He still tried to be diplomatic with Noxus with all these years he has ruled, even though they've continually attacked them, just like at the outpost and every other time they've had conflicts. She was just furious to understand why he simply try to crush them once and for all, to finally end this cycle of war. Nevertheless, she was grateful for the king's gift to her, but now with a whole legion behind her she has a new goal in mind. No matter how long it would take, or how many others she would have to convince, she would rise up with her legion and once and for all, not only defeat Noxus, but completely bring them to ruins until they are nothing more then a myth. She holds this goal to her heart now more then ever and will do anything to achive it. Even if it means to try and overthrow the king if she is left with no other options.

(If you don't like how she betrayed the commander or plots against the king, just read down to Appearance & Personaility for my reasons of why I made those decisions)

##Stats

Role: Fighter Secondary: Tank Health: 587 - 2204 Health Regen: 8.7 - 23 Mana: 283 - 936 Mana Regen: 6.7 - 15 Melee: 175 Attack Damage: 57 - 120 Attack Speed: .65 ( +0% - +48.7%) Armor: 28.2 - 91.4 Magic Res. : 32.1 - 53.4 Movement Speed: 340

##Abilities

Passive: Crippling Blows - Rhea's basic attacks steal attack speed from her target, 5% per hit, up to a max. of 30%.

Q: Throw the Gauntlet - Rhea calls out at the first enemy champion she sees, taunting them to fight her for 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 seconds. If she successfully taunts a champion, she gains a shield equal to 85/120/155/190/225 (+15% Bonus Health) for 3/3.25/3.5/3.75/4 seconds and gains increased movement speed for 2 seconds. 14-12 second cooldown.(Note: This is not a point and click taunt like Rammus. It's more like a short-mid range, narrow, somewhat slow moving skillshot.)

W: Overpower - Rhea turns the tides of battle to her favor, gaining 50/60/70/80/90% bonus attack speed for 5 seconds or for 2/3/4/5/6 auto attacks. Each of these attacks while Overpower is active deal an additional 30% bonus damage. 16-10 second cooldown. (Cooldown starts after duration ends or # of attacks have been used.)

E: Sunder Arms - For 2 seconds, Rhea counters the first auto attack at her. If an auto attack is countered this way, she deals 30/70/110/150/190(+50% AD) damage to all enemies around her and disarms them for 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 seconds, preventing them from using auto attacks. 22 second cooldown

R: (Two ideas for what it could be. You can decide which one is best.)

  • 1st: Legion's Might - Rhea orders to have a patch of ground marked, represented by a flaming arrow at the center of a outlining circle. After a short delay, arrows fly down at target location, dealing damage to all enemies caught inside. Damage is increased for each enemy champion hit in the circle, beyond the first one hit.( I didn't have time to think of any stats or ratios before I started this post.) 160/130/100 second cooldown.

  • 2nd: Rally - Rhea rallies her allies, removing any taunts, fears, flees and charms on them and her and becoming immune to them for the duration of 1.5 seconds. As well, she grants her allies bonus movement speed for 6 seconds, increased when moving towards visable enemy champions, +150% base health regen & +5/10/15% tenacity. 180/140/100 second cooldown.

##Appearance & Personality

I'd imagine her as a woman somewhere now in her late 20's, early 30's. She would be quite beautiful with raven black hair and sharp green eyes. Her armor would somewhat be similar to her legion's armor, but more far more decorative and distinct to her since she is the leader of the division. As well, I'd also imagine her with a halberd, just because each champion in the game currently has some sort of unique weapon and because the halberd itself is pretty interest.

In the way of personality, she would probably be fairly brash, having some anger management issues and looks down on most people who don't see her cause. She sees Noxus as nothing more as a nation which after years of corruption and horrid ways of living are beyond redemption and must be crushed once and for all. See also seems to have no remorse for her actions, no matter how some of them may be controversial to the people. However, she feels that all her actions she takes are for the greater good of their nation. She turned to it when she escaped Noxus for hope and through it became very fanatical about it, wanting it to be the greatest nation Valoran has seen. Surprising though, aside from Noxus threatening this vision, she also feels like many outside species also threaten it, thus she has a very xenophobic feel to many outsiders, more heavily on non-humans. So the championsPoppy Galio Kayle and especiallyShyvana, all are hated by her for that reason. This may be because she spent so much time in Noxus as a small child that is was just imprinted in her mind and she doesn't know it or this is just something that she's believed in since she was born. That I'm leaving up to you guys to decide for yourself.

Now in turn for if you have questions or concern about her lore, here are my reasons. First the betraying of the commander: As stated in her personality, she is very fanatical about her country. On top of this, according to wiki about Demacia, there military has a strict code that they don't desert battle and even some troops have fallen in battle rather then retreat. Having the commander order a retreat felt like an insult to Rhea that she couldn't let go by. On top of that she wasn't going to let Noxus win a major victory over her country. So in short, she felt in was necessary to kill her in order to hold back the attack. As well, she also painted the picture that the commander died while defending their country, something that puts both the men's minds and her's at ease. She really didn't want to do it, in fact, but when the order was going to be clear for a retreat, she had to take drastic action.

The same thing can almost be said about the king: she doesn't want to kill the king, that's the last thing she ever wants to plan. But she does believe that he has allowed Noxus to continue on for too long and she wants to convince the people to her side and have them demand the king to finally take action against them, once and for all. The only way of doing this, however, is almost hoping for Noxus to continue attacks, causing the people to demand something more then negotiations to cause them to stop. If that doesn't work and her patience starts to grow thin, she may even begin to start framing attacks against them, which they would deny and cause more conflict. And of course, if she runs out of patience, she would consider the fact of just overthrowing or even assassinating the king, if need be, and try to take command for herself. The problem with that is then trying to stop Jarvan IV from taking over. Really she would just rather try and convince the people that the king needs to step down along with his son and she takes over as ruler rather then going through with getting the blood of the people and the king on her hands. She wants the best for all of them and only wants to shed the blood of Noxus. But the only way she feels that she can accomplish this is if she becomes ruler herself. And if she needs to take the king down, she most likely will go through with it, an act that she will most likely regret for the rest of her life.

##Itemization

item 3071 item 3142 item 3074 item 3156 item 3143 item 3065 item 3009 item 3742 item 3812 item 3033

The idea I had for Rhea is that she mostly builds tanky with some armor pen. and high damage items. The items shown are just what I had in mind for what she could build, but you can also try using different items as well, depending on your playstyle.

And that's the end of my concept. If you didn't enjoy and only have hate for this then please just move along. However, if you did enjoy, please vote up and feel free to leave any comments or questions about her. Also feel free to look at my other concepts in the links below. Thank you all for reading this.

##Change log

7/2/2016

  • Passive - Change from "Basic attacks have a 5/7.5/10/12.5% chance to slow her target for 30% for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75 seconds." to "Basic attacks steal attack speed from her target, 5% per hit, up to a max. of 30%." (Credit goes to Universal Scarf for suggesting the idea.)

  • Q - Changed taunt time from 1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5 seconds to 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 seconds. Added notes about it.

  • R: Rally - Removed increased movement speed per enemy champion in sight. (Now just flat movement speed buff plus small increased when any number of enemy champions are in sight.) Removed 15/30/45 bonus armor and magic resist when activated. Lowered immune time of taunts, fears, flees, and charms from full 6 seconds to 1.5 seconds. Added +150% based health regen and +5/10/15% tenacity. (Hopefully this will nerf the ability a bit, but still have some team utility in it.)

The first ult is good the secont is way to op and the taut is a bit op to so instead of a taut what if it was a zone near her where you press the ability if you took damage from a champion in that zone you would get a shield

FeedMePentas7/1/2016, 7:53:28 PM2 votes

Her second ult sounds like a 5 man olaf ult and a sivir ult imo

Friendly Ram7/1/2016, 9:06:28 PM1 votes

I enjoyed the concept tbh(came here coz just uploaded mine =D) Nice idea, good job on this one But there are a few things that seem weird to me (I am talking from balance/desing stand point, if it was for fun, you did an amazing job) Passive has a random chance, Riot are trying to almost delete it from the game, some time they actually had a though to remove crits from the game(+ they removed old stat called dodge) Random passive is always frustrating And the other thing, i think both ulties are kinda bad First just seems worthless for a tank champion, it doesn't provide anything for the team And the second one is just hands down OP, it has 0 counterplay and has incredibly strong effect+it goes for the whole team But overall great job m8, upvoted! P.S. That wasn't hate, just constructive critics

Really cool but her E is like a less interesting Fiora W and her Q can get 3.5 second undodgable taunts.... which aren't fun.

Nice concept! I love the design, story and motivation behind the character. She feels unique in a way, and tangible to many storylines in League's lore. It's a very good trait for a concept to have.

Ability-wise, it's all over the place. But I see in comments you are already working on something, so I will let you think of another version then comment on that.

I would only suggest a passive idea, that I had for a kit like this. Since she can taunt, increase her attack speed and is basically a bruiser, I would suggest putting an attack-speed steal on hit in her passive. Something like:

Crippling Blows - Rhea steals attack speed from targets she hits with her basic attacks, 5% per hit, max 30%.

This review is a little late (I'm sorry)

Passive: It seems overly simplistic in my view; there aren't really many interactions for the opponent to deal with beyond: Don'f fight me, like ever. That's not really cool either to have or to fight against as there are no meaningful way this can impact the course of a game. I would recommend making it much more interesting as a result.

Q: Needs numbers. Range, projectile speed/width is very important in determining how strong the ability is. I would however recommend normalising the duration on the shield. The difference between Rank 1 and 5 is fairly negligible, and honestly giving the entire 4 second duration from Rank 1 onwards would not hurt at all given how much damage does just float around. Again, I can't really render judgement on this ability without knowing things like ranges because that's really important given this kind of ability.

W: Uh...ok. TBH I'm not too sure as to why this ability is here, as it feels like it overlaps strongly with the passive. I can see synergy within the kit, but overall it doesn't really feel like it's really helpful, as having multiple AS steroids on a kit is redundant (ex. Olaf) and could be better distributed elsewhere. Additionally, the lack of other synergy out of passive combined with the champion's role as Tank/Fighter would mean that you would much better off jockeying for position instead f looking to AA people down, especially given the disruptive nature of the kit as opposed to damage.

E: Again, requires clarity. Is it a champion AA, a monster AA, or will even a minion hitting you be enough to proc it? It could potentially be completely gamechanging as you neuter the enemy ADC for the next 2.5 seconds, though the lack of a reliable gapcloser means that you are similar in effect to a juggernaut. Ofc this could also work as a Warden, but the way in which the kit is built around would emphasise going up to and fighting enemies rather than peeling people off your carry. As a result, I believe that I need a range, but otherwise, it is functionally acceptable.

R: Since you told me to look at the first one, the opinion is that it's a generic AoE ult. It works, but not on this champion. This is likely something you'd find on a mage, or a support, instead of a tank/fighter, because it doesn't help you do your job any better. It doesn't really offer any incentive in duels, nor does it hep you tank damage better for your team. Because of its generic-ability, I can say that this ability is functional, that it would work on a kit such as this, though it is generic to the point that it could work on any kit. I would recommend just figuring out your theme before moving onwards.

Overall it feels quite generic. This guy doesn't really offer anything that would differentiate itself from many of the tanks out there, since Rhea lacks a gapcloser, which is significant given their role. The CC is not really anything to write home about either, as the E is on far too long a cooldown to properly suffice as a tool which could be used in a teamfight, meaning you get 1 rotation unless its one of those S5 wetnoodle fights, but even then that's unlikely too. I recommend just emphasizing a reason to pick this character - right now, its an awkward hybrid of a fighter and tank kit which doesn't really do either very well.

My concept: NM-8, the Shadow Strider

How about cross fire(ult)

Set 2 sides a row of archers firing maybe 3 time eahc round dealing 100/175/350 (maybe max damage) and she would also take the damage
