...seriously? We're not only getting another Fiora skin, who's most recent skin was a little over a year ago, Yi, who literally just received his cosmic skin in April this year, and ... Janna!?!?!?! Janna is getting a skin, most likely having some sort of sword in it, even though she's more of a mage and uses a staff and relies on spells?

I'm extremely upset by this right now! FFS RIOT YI JUST GOT A FUCKING SKIN THIS YEAR AND NOW YOU'RE GIVING HIM ANOTHER ONE?!?!?! Fiora I guess I can understand a bit but why Janna? Janna! Of all the characters she's getting thrown in with this sword theme? Why?!?!?!

I was getting hyped up for the Yorick skin for such a long time, even a bit more hyped to see if Shen would get a skin in so long since that chinese teaser was a perfect look of his sword. But now I'm just upset by there decisions with these skins! Like I said, Yi already got a skin this year, why is he getting the special treatment of getting two in the same year, in little over 6 months?!?!?! Fuck you Riot!

Sarcasm aside, it would be nice for champs to get skins that fit the theme. Janna? She doesn't even have a sword. Plus it's just going to feed the memes about Illaoi, Taliyah and Sol.

To be fair, Irelia's core theme is already floating swords, so giving the floating sword champion a floating sword skin would be kind of redundant, and Riot would never do something as stupid as that.

I mean, imagine if they gave the blood champion a super blood skin.

neither fiora nor janna are from ionia, Shen actually is though, same with Irelia, who both would have been very good picks for this skinline if it was an ionia only thing.

Fiora fits, Yi is fine, Janna is an odd pick. Shen and irelia both would love to get a skin though (I know irelia is getting a vgu soon, but come on) and fit way better than fckn Janna

I think the issue with Shen skins is... hes a ninja. So an Ionian style garb doesnt fit him well AT ALL.

Dont get me wrong a Shen skin would be nice but he still needs to be a ninja. Besides the teaser for the "rumored Shen skin" Was at one point said that "It looks a little similar to base shen"

I think Ionian style garb would fit him a lot better than surgeon scrubs, ninja or not.

And then there's Zed , that has 4 skins, one of which is his release skin, 2 legacy event skins one of which sucks hard and only one true skin, Project, released over 2 years ago.

Yorick and Cass finally got a new skin, so i claim the right to complain.

But hey, Yasuo already got his legendary skin despite being newer than Zed.

The chinese teaser was giving me hope for a Shen VS Zed skin theme like for Riven VS Yas.

I play Yi too but, 2 skins in less half a year?

Really?

How does one champ qualify for skins anymore?

Zed is the proof that popularity means nothing.

As an avid Zed main, I can say that I feel your pain. I was hoping for a Zed/Shen event, but nope. :^) I assume this is what went down. The FBI might wanna launch an investigation.

At Riot HQ

Rioter #1: "I've got an amazing idea for new skins"

Rioter #2: "Is it a Shen skin? You know, since we're giving all the older champions some nice new skins?"

Rioter #1: "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh totally. Let's release this teaser first for a floating sword with Shen's colors near the bottom so people absolutely know it's Shen"

Later

Rioter #1: "Alright. So the first skin is for Master Yi"

Rioter #4: "Oh. He just got a Cosm-" shot item 3145

Rioter #1: "Then we'll give Janna one, so that we can soak up the money until we nerf her Pre-Worlds S7"

Rioter #3: "Hm... a mage with a sword-based skin-line? How does that wor- shot item 3145

Rioter #1: "Money is how. And finally, we'll give Fiora one."

Rioter #2: "B-but wait didn't she just get a Pool Party one and doesn't she have a fairly low pla-" shot item 3145

I feel it was a mistake with that sword teaser as it does look eerily similar to Shen's spirit sword as well. It's no wonder that many would be upset as Shen has yet to receive a new skin for years as well.

Calm the fuck down. Riot's said that everyone who hasn't gotten a skin recently will get one. They've been delivering on that. There is ZERO reason to get pissed and whiny about Yi getting a skin.

That's fair enough to be pissed about. But people aren't bitching about that, they're bitching about Yi getting a skin.

It's the difference between complaining that your team lost, and that a different team won. The first is understandable, the second is an asshole move.

Sigh I love Riots skins inspired by asian culture like Warring Kingdoms, Bloodmoon, Starguardian (japanese pop culture) and now this new Wuxia skin line. It really hurts that there is not a champ included I am playing. But since this will become a new skin line, I hope to have better luck in the next round.

The skin teaser was really strange, though. How is it possible that this was not Shen? That floating sword was just screaming Shenpai out of it's lungs and it is some time ago that he received a skin. That Yi got it over him is really a let down. I don't play him myself, but I understand the disappointment.

Woke up from a nap, looked at FF@20, didn't see Shen anywhere. I don't even play Yi/Shen and I already felt the sadness and anger coming from this announcement.

Janna was a good choice for this line and they pulled it off fantastically. It's interesting to have someone use a sword as a casting implement and they aren't uncommon ceremonial objects. Hopefully they make a skin for shen in this line someday though.

he has a lot of skins compared to some champions. With a vgu,we may not even need another skin,depending on how they'll be(infernal and lord morde are promising)

There seems to be always this kind of thread when new skins hit the PBE. There is a reason the more popular champs get more skins.

btw. searching through OP's match history I found out he hasnt picked shen in months, so no idea what's the fuss

No, I don't play Shen, but just because I don't play him doesn't mean I shouldn't be mad that he hasn't gotten a skin in a long time.

The teaser looked like he was finally going to receive one, only to be given to Yi, who has already gotten a skin this year with Cosmic Blade, and Janna: a champ known for playing passive and relying way more on abilities than autos. Hell she has the sword sheathed and only unsheathes it in her recall!

Shen is one of the champs that hasn't received a skin in a long time. If he did get actually get a skin in this, he'd be up with Cass and Yorick for actually getting new skins. But no. It was an entire let down to the people and mains that wanted a new skin for him. It's given to Yi and Janna, and I'll say it again, Yi has already gotten a skin this year!
