Briste, The Spellbreaker ASSASSIN

Abilities: Note: Briste uses Energy.

(Passive) Spell Resistance: Briste's auto attacks grant stacks of Resistance, increasing her magic resistance slightly per stack. When Briste takes magic damage, she gains a bonus to attack speed for a few seconds. Resistance stacks up to 20 times.

(Q) Mana Igniting Strike: Briste empowers her next autoattack, dealing extra damage and igniting the target's mana, causing them to take additional damage based on their maximum mana, as well as loosing a percentage of their maximum mana over the next few seconds.

(W) Breaking Slash: Briste sweeps her swordspear across a wide cone in front of her. Enemies stuck by the blade take more damage, while enemies hit by the haft are slowed for two seconds. Briste heals based on the number of enemies struck by the blade.

(E) Spellhunter: Briste dashes a short distance in a target direction. When she triggers Spellhunter, Briste gains a shield that lasts a few seconds, though it will be removed early if Briste is hit by a crowd control ability. While the shield is active, Briste takes reduced damage from all sources and ignores the first crowd control ability that hits her.

(R) Sundering Leap: Briste leaps to an enemy at medium range, damaging her target. Additionally, the struck enemy receives a true damage bleeding DOT effect that lasts 5 seconds. The DOT deals bonus increased damage based on a small percentage of Briste's AD and a large percentage based on the target's max mana. While the victim has mana, the DOT deals 70% of it's damage to the target's mana. If they have no mana, the DOT deals 100% of it's damage to the target's health.

Backstory: Briste was part of a tribe in Kaladoun, raised from birth to be a guard of the tribe's divinely appointed charge; a pair of silver bracers, said to be able to massively increase the mana reserves of anyone to wear them. Briste grew to maturity regaled with tales of the devastation caused by the bracer's previous owners, and in time took her place as one of the guards of the bracers. All was well, until the day that a pair of mages came in search of the bracers, seeking their power. The tribe attempted to fight them off, but the mages only laughed before unleashing their power, slaughtering the entire tribe save for Briste, who they forced to lead them to the bracers. Injured and desperate, Briste shattered the fragile bracers, the resultant magical explosion killing the mages, nearly killing Briste, and infecting the entire village with arcane power. Briste recovered from her wounds to find that she had been changed by the explosion. Despite being unable to wield arcane power, she was able to sense the flows of magic around her, and with her similarly altered swordspear, sever them. Now harboring an intense hatred for mages and believing all magic to be inherently evil, Briste roams the world, seeking out sources and practitioners of magic, and eliminating them.

Gameplay: In game Briste is built around picking a target, shrugging off their attacks, chasing them down, and eliminating them. Her lack of physical resistance and lower damage against those who do not use mana mean she has to pick her fights carefully, but if she can time it right, she can jump in, ignore someone's effort to peel her off, and burst out the main damage threat without giving them a chance to escape.

Appearance: Briste is lightly built, wearing a simple sleeveless white shirt and brown pants, with a gray hooded cloak with the hood lowered overtop. She wears no armor or jewelry, and carries only her swordspear. Briste keeps her black hair short, and her skin is fair. A large burn covers much of her face where the mages used flame to torture her.

Icathia is the eldritch ruin city in which the boundary between Runeterra and the Void appears to be the weakest; everyone and anything there that didn't slip over from the Void has been long-dead for centuries. Also, the lore on the Rune Wars has been updated with Ryze's rework- they were fought for control over the World Runes capable of fundamentally altering reality in the realm of Runeterra, which Ryze is trying to resolve by collecting all of the Runes to keep them out of the hands of anyone that could possibly abuse them.

Edits made. Thanks for catching that, CobaltTheMadMage. I seem to have been looking at some old lore.
