Sanguine, The Silver Prince Fighter/Support

Abilities (Passive) Chilled Blade: Sanguine's basic attacks apply stacks of Creeping Frost. The stacks last a few seconds, and drop off one at a time. At three stacks, the stacks are consumed, dealing damage, and applying a brief slow and bleeding DOT. Once triggered, Creeping Frost cannot be reapplied to the target for a few seconds.

(Q) Silver Lance: Sanguine hurls an ice shard a short distance in a target direction, dealing damage to all enemies it hits. For a couple seconds after being struck, enemies receive a speed boost moving towards Sanguine, and are slowed moving away from him.

(W) Swarm of Bats: Sanguine turns into a swarm of bats, becoming untargetable and covering a medium area for several seconds. He can still move in this form. All enemies in the swarm are dealt damage over time and slowed. All allies in the swarm receive a speed boost, and allied champions in the swarm also receive a shield.

(E) Traverse Shadow: Sanguine dashes to a target enemy, damaging them and applying nearsighted to the target. If the target is bleeding from Chilled Blade, Traverse Shadow can be triggered from further away, and stuns instead of applying nearsight.

(R) Lord of Havoc: Passively, Sanguine's Swarm of Bats heals him and allied champions provided an enemy is taking damage from the ability. When activated, Sanguine transforms into an armored humanoid bat. In this form he gains bonus attack damage, attack speed, health, increased lifesteal and movement speed, and a brief shield. While in his bat form, Sanguine's health slowly decays, though he can heal from his own lifesteal and ally abilities, extending the duration, and earning kills or assists also restores 5% of his maximum health. If Sanguine takes lethal damage in bat form, either from foes or his own draining health, he becomes untargetable for a couple seconds and heals to 150% of his health and mana from when he triggered the ability.

Backstory: Sanguine's past is a mystery. He first revealed himself two centuries ago, taking part in a battle between two Shuriman clans. Since then he has wandered the world, fighting for anyone with enough coin to buy his interest. As more details of his skills comes to light, mysteries of the past millennium suddenly have a likely culprit. Rumors surface of a pale warrior who gained a sword and power from the Frozen Watchers. Whether the tales have any truth to them remains to be seen. So far, none who have asked Sanguine directly have survived the encounter.

Gameplay: In game, Sanguine is a melee fighter. Tough enough to hold a lane on his own, he is at his best when working with a partner who can take advantage of his slows and stun. Sanguine's biggest weakness is lack of escape. His Swarm of Bats can get him out of trouble if timed right, but if caught while it's on cooldown he has few options. Despite this, Sanguine is not to be underestimated, as he is quite capable of exploiting his own openings to burn his enemy down and out.

Appearance: Sanguine is dressed in silver armor, a combination of plate and chain. Rubies are studded at shoulders, chest, forearms, and knees. His head is uncovered, save for a silver circlet with an inlaid ruby. His hair is white, and his face pale. His face holds a callous cruelty, denoting a man who could massacre a village with little more than a chuckle. A white cape hangs from his shoulders, and a scabbard on his right hip. He holds his sword in his right hand. The sword is a slim straight sword, with black runes on both sides of the blade and a ruby pommel.

For those of you who like champion lore, here you go. Enjoy!

Silent Night: The old man sat at the edge of the firelight, glancing fearfully around at the darkness. “You're certain we weren't followed?” The leader of his hired mercenaries smirked. “Not a chance, old man. So long as you pay the rest of what you owe, no-one will ever track you down.” The old man fidgeted. “Yes, yes, you'll get your money. But you had best be certain that we are not followed. The people hunting me are ruthless. To them, my coin in your pockets will have marked you for death.” A low wind began to whistle through the trees as the mercenary captain laughed. “Old man, you worry too much. My men are veterans of a hundred battles. We can handle ourselves against whoever your enemies send after you.” The old man shook his head. “You don't understand. If my enemies cannot find me easily, I fear they may resort to desperate measures to hunt me down. I fear they will send Sanguine after me-” The captain interrupted him, roaring with laughter. “The Silver Prince!? He's the one who has you so scared? The man is a myth, a fable, made up to scare children into obeying their parents.” The captain slipped from his seat as he continued laughing. The old man shook his head. “That is where you are wrong. I have seen the man, running across the roof of my home as easily as you would run down a road.” The captain's laughter trailed off as he ran short of breath. Gasping he pushed himself back onto his seat, still chuckling. “Old man, you never cease to amuse me. Worry yourself with shadows and dreams if you wish. We will concern ourselves with blood and steel. If your phantom shows his face here, we'll send him home in pieces!” The mercenaries let out a cheer. “You said it captain!” “He won't be silver by the time we're through with him!” “We'll make him wish he tried a different line of work!” Suddenly a man came running out of the darkness. “Captain!” The captain turned to him, slightly annoyed. “Yes, Mart?” “Korvain's missing! I went to relieve him on watch, but he wasn't at his post. I looked around, but I couldn't find him anywhere!” The old man buried his head in his hands with a groan. The captain sighed. “Thomas, go with Mart. Korvain probably just went after a rabbit for tomorrow's breakfast. Check with the other sentries, see if any of them have seen him.” Thomas finished his drink and hauled himself to his feet. “Yes captain. Come on, Mart.” The two men walked off into the night as the captain turned back to his employer. “It's nothing to worry about, old man. Mart likes to make a fuss over nothing. You worry to much.” The old man looked the captain in the eyes. “Captain, with enemies like mine, you can never worry too much.” At that moment, there were two thuds as the bodies of Mart and Thomas landed in the firelight. As the mercenaries scrambled to their feet and unsheathed their weapons, a figure took shape at the edge of the firelight, clad in gleaming silver armor, with a silver and ruby circlet upon his head. A sword was clasped in his right hand, it's edge dripping with fresh blood. The old man's mouth fell open in horror. Terrified, he frantically tried to crawl away from this apperition. Sanguine smiled, and leveled his sword at his foes. “Allow me to prove my existence.” He said, before he vanished into a swarm of bats, flying headlong at his enemies.
