LORE To be honest, Durumubu has completely wasted his potential strength. Born in the Kumungu Jungle, Durumubu the orangutan is the epitome of sloth. Instead of using his absurd strength to help the world around himself, he instead uses it to guard his favorite tree. Is the tree special? Not really. All it does is grow his favorite fruit. He sleeps in it and let's those who have found themselves lost in the jungle shelter within it. He is very kind and shares his tree with those who are also kind, but something within him awakes when he is angered. Rumors have it that Durumubu was affected by the magic of a very powerful traveler. When the traveler was lost within the Kumungu Jungle, Durumubu helped the traveler find his way by letting him climb to the top of his tree. He also gave the traveler some of his favorite fruit. It turned out the traveler was a powerful mage and, to thank the great ape, blessed him with extremely powerful magic that gave him insane resistance to any form injury and absurd strength. When a band of Noxian soldiers tried to cut down his tree for wood, Durumubu was said to fling the entire band of soldiers across the world into the sands of Shurima. When an army of Void creatures tried to destroy his tree, it is said he was able to crush them all without taking a single scratch. When merchants tried to steal fruit from his tree without his permission, they say he yelled so loud that the merchants went deaf and then were chased for miles. His tree is very important to him, so do not mess with this ape or his tree! Recently, Durumubu has grown curious of the outside world and wishes to see what is out there. Using his insane strength, Durumubu lifted his tree and the ground it was connected to above himself and began to carry it around. Traveling the world, Durumubu became the interest of many people and was regarded as a hero when he saved several cities within Demacia from Noxian invaders. In Shurima, it is said he saved an entire village from an army of Xerath's creation before fleeing the desert to avoid the ascendant. In Bilgewater, it is said he saved many orphans by giving the fruit from his tree. Even in the Freljord he is seen as a symbol of hope when he saved a village within Sejuani's domain from an army of barbarians. Durumubu is known around the globe and makes friends with anyone kind to him! Be kind to the ape and he will be kind to you!

Durumubu is quite literally the most durable champion in the game. He has tons of healing, health, and has incredible mobility to help him start and escape a fight. He is INSANELY durable! The down side? He deals next to no damage and has next to no ways of increasing that damage he deals. He quite literally deals probably the least damage in the entire game and has next to no ways of changing that since he can't increase his attack damage outside of increasing his base attack damage and can't deal any bonus damage through on-hit effects (I see you Titanic Hydra). He also can't critical strike! The only ways he can increase his damage is through spell effects from items, armor penetration, and attack speed, all of which usually rely on having decent attack speed or tons of spell damage to make use of. Durumubu is someone you play if you just want to hop into the enemy team and makes some noise! It's extremely difficult to kill you and his ultimate also makes it extremely hard to control you with crowd control! Just jump in and say hi to the enemies! Just KEEP JUMPING and EAT THEM FRUITS! i feel there is a concept her for a durable Support (or Warden) like Braum and Ali. i feel its a bit to much durability that could be more simplified and balanced. although i love the idea of the passive and the concept of his tree, but its a little to wordy. i also think (don't have to think about this one, but) his concept of power should come more from the tree its self instead of him. i feel it would bring a better piece of his lore if he wasn't gifted his powers from a mage (since his title is the the** Guardian of the Tree**), but instead the tree and he just has been gifted the powers from him always eating its fruit.

  • one way you could simplify this and make it more clear to other players is making the shields on his W and E into one ability (for clarity).

  • his passive could be a bit more linear with level (so 100% base states (+8.3% per level)) would be a better transition when leveling (Note: it's still 150/200/250% but with better scaling with level).

  • the idea i was thinking of when i first read him having a tree he carry's was an ability like this:

E Share Fruit- Passive: Durumubu's Tree grows seeds over 60/55/50/45/40 seconds. seeds that drop root in the ground and begin to grow over 8 seconds. once fully grown they drop fruit that heal ally's for 30/50/70/90/110(+2.5% of your maximum health) + 1.5% increased healing for every 1% health missing that walk over them. trees drop fruit every 10 seconds that last on the ground for 20 seconds and their can be a maximum of 3 trees active at a time. maximum 2 charges

Active: Durumbu shacks the tree drooping a seed

cooldown: 5 seconds

i feel this would make for a unique and thematic ability to him. this would allow for you to add a different ability to his Q granting him better utility

  • i also think he shouldn't be a mana based champion, but instead a % max or current health caster as this would be more fitting and a lot more balanced then him using mana (since hes getting ridiculous amounts of health)

  • and the ultimate is pretty broken. i understand you want him in their for long periods of time, but his sustain is 20x more powerful than mundo sustain

I like the idea or eating/sharing fruit, could have been one ability to be honest XD

I think the concept of a beast is limiting. Maybe a mythical forest creature or a mix of both.

Can't imagine right now this Champions walking around the rift, break my suspension of disbelieve XD

no offence, Hope to see more from you and your concepts

Any form of % max health damage would wreck him, since he can't build resistances.

Not necessarily bad, but worth noting.
