Let’s make something to celebrate Mordekaiser’s 8th birthday. I’m an animation major and I’m trying to storyboard something short, sweet and likely to go viral. I have a few ideas but am looking for more:

Pokémon Master Morde: his mace is a giant poke ball on a stick, and he goes around catching all the league champs that resemble Pokémon; ie: khazhix is scythar, Anivia is articuno, Gragas is snorlax etc.

Evil Wizard Bobidi from Dragonball z , the majin buu saga. (Morde is the wizard that enslaved everyone, stamps an M on their forehead and powers them up)

Talking about the meta and how Morde fits in it. As anyMorde mains will tell ya: if our team groups for objectives and picks some engage to secure the enemy ADC, then our jobs are very easy. We can carry hard. However if your team doesn’t secure Dragons and they all picked karma supports with Jhin mids and graves JG, then you are well and truly fucked. As such comparing Mordekaiser to a healthy guy forced to go through life in a wheelchair:

And he is forced to rely on allies to push him around. Once every 6 years he gets to go flying (drg spawns every 6 min) and he’s forced to rely on teammates to take him to go flying.

We could also use the fact that no one has seen Morde’s face to pretend he’s just a collection of bugs working together to move his armor, while the real Morde is locked away somewhere, waiting for Riot to fix his damn bugs.

I think some of these have potential. I want to write the script from Mordekaiser’s point of view.

Part 1: Mordekaiser a Lord of War

During the age of Iron when he was but a Mortal Warlord he Raided vs many rival Clans. After wiping out swathes of Warriors he began to notice the new Warlords he fought wielded the strange looking Blades of his Fallen enemies of yore. Following his next battles he ordered the weapons buried after all attempts to break them failed. Yet these odd Blades reemerged always in the hands of his enemies ceaselessly. Several assassination attempts coming from his own men each wielding those Accursed blades. The Riddle of steel taunted him he found his mind racing in circles finding no answers.

Mordekaiser seeking solice found a Mystic Blacksmith from under the Mountains to fashion a suit of spiked armor and a Magical Mace only within his armor did he find respite and within his hands he Wielded power to Rival the Gods. The Riddle of steel still tested him with assasins and Warlords, yet he knew he could find his answers the weight of it not pressing on him as it had before.

He sought the council of 3 Seers, hermits atop a mountain peak, he asked many questions received few answers. He enlisted these Seers as servants for while they didn't answer the Riddle they had opened his mind to something far more sinister.

He pondered the cycle of his life the ebb and flow of bodies countless slaughtered in what seemed an unending war of clansmen. He himself had put a dozen clans to the sword fighting for resources he did not need. He couldn't help but feel Something was driving them to this end and if left unchecked he knew the Victor would stand atop a mound of corpses inumberable. He sought a way to prevent such a fate for his clansmen. He Rallied many clans to his side offering mercy to the conquered growing in number they soon became the largest clan. with the Seer to council him he began construction of a Great Citadel an Immortal Bastion in which to shelter his people from the Reavers and their Accursed weapons.

Here's my original idea:

Mordekaiser is a champion that lives in the Shadow Isles, a digital city inside Billy's League of Legends account. He is the son of two people named Meldekaiser and Marydekaiser, and is able to make an army of undead despite his parents' upbringing. His parents are hesitant of him going to war, but Mordekaiser insists so that he can feel useful. Upon receiving a friend request from Redmercy's Smurf, Billy decides to send him a 1v1 invite. When Mordekaiser is selected, he panics, dives turret, and dies. Mordekaiser is called in by Riot, a Game Design Company and creator of League of Legends, who concludes that Mordekaiser is a "malfunction" and therefore must be deleted. Mordekaiser is chased by a nerf, but is rescued by Skarner, a once popular champion who has since lost his fame due to lack of use. He tells Mordekaiser that he can be fixed if they find a hacker, and Skarner accompanies him so that he can reclaim his fame.

Riot sends more nerfss to look for Mordekaiser when she finds out that he has left the Shadow Isles, as his actions have caused Billy to think that his account needs to be fixed. Mordekaiser and Skarner come to a Free RP website where they meet a hacker by the name of 'irhA', who wants to reach Demacia so that she can live in the city. The trio is attacked by Riot's nerfs, but manage to escape into Zaun. irhA reveals that Mordekaiser can be fixed in the cloud, and the group goes off into the Champ Select. While there, irhA is revealed to be a fox girl named Ahri who fled home after tiring of being banned. They are once again attacked by nerfs, and their actions cause Billy to dodge the queue. Mordekaiser and Ahri escape, but Skarner is taken along with the queue and ends up in the Masteries tab.

Meldekaiser and Marydekaiser go searching for Mordekaiser and have a very lethargic argument. They make up in the Memes and Games Boards, when Meldekaiser reveals that he, too, is a malfunction, explaining Mordekaiser's horrible playrate. While traveling through the Loot Screen, Ahri admits that she likes Mordekaiser just the way he is, and that he should not be ashamed of his malfunction. They make it to the Masteries tab and rescue Skarner, but are soon attacked by an upgraded nerf. They evade it and enter a Chat Restrict, where they encounter a Bug Splat. The gang get past it with a password being Redmercy's Smurf's name and make it to the Demacia, where Ahri prepares to do Ahri things with Mordekaiser. Mordekaiser admits his feelings for Ahri, but she wishes to stick to her plan of venturing into Demacia, unintentionally causing Mordekaiser to revert to his horrible programming out of heartbreak. The upgraded nerf takes Mordekaiser, and Skarner and Ahri race after them on Anivia summoned by Ahri.

As Riot prepares to delete Mordekaiser, Meldekaiser and Marydekaiser arrive and are also threatened. Ahri and Skarner arrive and disable the nerf, which falls on top of Riot. Billy has since taken his account to Riot Games Support and asks to have his account erased to fix the problem. Out of desperation, Mordekaiser prepares to 1v1 Redmercy's Smurf, making various comments regarding his lack of skill. Realizing that Redmercy wanted to 1v1 him, Billy stops his account from getting erased, saving Mordekaiser and finally getting to 1v1 Redmercy's Smurf. Mordekaiser accepts himself for who he is and is celebrated by all of the champions.

(I literally just copied and pasted the Wikipedia page for the Emoji Movie plot and changed it up a bit. Can I get bonus points for innovation?)

I would suggest keeping the idea rather simple for a short animation if that's what you are going for.

Something like a match of LoL from Morde's view of course. He would have a cool entrance to the rift(walking out of the Shadow Isle fog) , slaughter some minions and start killing each of the 5 enemy champions. They should form a viable team, but it doesnt particuarly matter who. Next he can kill dragon and of course take his soul to send him into battle, steamroll throught the towers and crush the Nexus. If the enemy Nexus were a birthday cake with 8 candles on it, that might be something.
