What's so hard about keeping ranked games close?
I hate that there can be a 5 rank difference between players on a team. Gold 4 with Silver 4 and possibly a dude in placements being thrown into your match. Why can't we limit ranks already?

It's because the system has to somehow compensate for all the players that are quitting. It's even better when you get all gold/silvers on your team and the enemy team is all silver that get carried by a booster playing on a bronze 2 account.

Because ranked is based on some MMR value you can’t see, making the ranking you can see somewhat arbitrary.
The Gold 4 player could really have a Silver 3 MMR but because it’s stupid hard to drop out of IV division, he remains Gold 4 until he hits around Silver 4 MMR.
because mmr decides your opponents while "rank" just decides wether or not you get a free skin.
