{Champ Concept} Creu, The Corrupted Trader

Before I start I want to give a huge shout out to Nelogis, like me they are a person who loves to make champion concepts. Recently they made a champion concept called Mug'Gri the Hopes End. https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/zrgkg4LE-champion-concept-battlemage-muggri-the-hopes-end This is a really well done champion concept, it has images of what Mug'Gri may look like. I believe all the images are based on Rek'Sai but that is just because Rek'Sai has some great fan art made. The abilities are really unique with a nice void touch to them, the ability to cancel out shields is great for some team-making plays and encourages players with shields to use them more wisely. This also stops that boring "protect the adc" comp too. They really took some time into making this champion concept and from one creator on the boards to another I really hope you check it out. Creu, The Corrupted Trader

This is by far my largest champion concept so far, it took about an hour and a half to create. A TL;DR section is at the bottom. That's enough from me, I hope you guys enjoy Creu, The Corrupted Trader

Lore: Once long ago, a legendary trader named Mizku Hallam was hunting for the treasure of Ne'Zuk with his wife, when he stumbled upon the temple of an ancient Emperor. After searching the temple for hours and collecting treasures beyond imagine, Mizku found a lever deep within a cavern with an encrypted message in an ancient code. Yet even as he tried to figure out how to decode the message a voice in his head translated the message for him. For those who seek the hand of stone, beware the demon trapped alone. Trapped inside a heart of gem, ready to capture that who wakes them. Not one to be deterred by warnings, Mizku pulled the lever; the floor fell beneath him as sand filled the room he was now trapped in. In front of him, was a gauntlet encrusted with the most beautiful Gem and as if by magic Mizku could hear it talking to him, giving him two options. Put the gauntlet on and gain the power to escape, or suffocate to death by sand. Of course Mizku put the gauntlet on and was instantly possessed by the Darkin inside; Creu relished the fact that he was finally free, the last time he was able to move was before that stupid ascended warrior Setaka trapped him in her gauntlet. Creu opened a doorway to the front of the temple only to bump into a stupid little human, as Creu went to smash the human his arm was stopped. Confused Creu stopped and heard a small voice in the back of his head, Mizku would not allowed Creu kill his wife or innocent for that matter. Angered by the fact that the weak human that he possessed could stop him in any way Creu once again tried to smash Mizku's wife, and once again was stopped by Mizku's willpower but Creu continued to push with all this might and after long moments of struggle felt the gemstone now embedded in his arm crack as he gained the ability to smash the human. Devastated by the death of his wife Mizku started to force the essence of Creu out of the crack in the gemstone, while also using his minimal control of the Gemstone in Creu's body to stop him from killing any more. Now Creu searches for his brothers in Runeterra, if he can not find them before Mizku forces his essence out of the gemstone then he will disappear forever, but if he can then with the power of his brothers he can finally expel Mizku's control of his body and conquer the world with his brothers.

Base Stats:

Health: 550 (+65*level)

Mana: 300 (+50*level)

Armor: 32 (+5*level)

Magic Resist: 29 (+2*level)

Auto attack range: 175

Passive Darkin Infusion: Due to the crack in the gemstone infused into Creu's arm, portions of his strength are released into the air around him strengthening either the damage or resistances of allies around him. If the ally near Creu has more combined armor and magic resist then their combined attack damage and ability power they gain a 5%-15% (depending on Creu's level ) attack damage and ability power buff. While if the allies total attack damage and ability power is higher then their total armor and magic resist, the ally gains a bonus 5%-25% (depending on Creu's level) to their armor and magic resist.

Range: 450

Q Demon's Tether: Creu shoots a dark energy blast in a target direction stopping at the first unit hit and tethering it to nearby enemy units prioritizing enemy champions; tethering and rooting a maximum of 3 nearby units . Demon's Tether roots the original unit hit for 0.5 seconds (+0.5 seconds per unit tethered) and any units tethered for 1 second.

Damage: 40/50/60/70/80 (+2.5% of Creu's maximum health) upon being rooted by Demon's Tether

Range of skill shot: 650

Range of tether coils: 275

Mana Cost: 50

Cool down: 10/10/9/8/8 seconds

W Darkin Cleanse: Creu channels for 1 second leaving a portion of himself behind before blinking to an allied champion using the power of the gemstone in his arm and cleansing the ally of all debuffs. Creu can then recast Darkin Cleanse within 5 seconds once again causing him to channel for 1 second. Once finished channeling Creu opens a doorway for 3 seconds between his current location and the original piece of his body, allies may walk through the doorway exiting at Creu's original channeling spot.

  • Creu goes through his doorway automatically

Damage: None

Range of blink: 750

Mana cost: 60/75/90/105/120

Cooldown: 22/20/18/16/14 (Cooldown starts upon first cast of Darking Cleanse)

  • Can not cleanse anything QSS can't; besides knock ups
  • If Creu's channels are interrupted then Darkin Cleanse is stopped and refunded a quarter of it's cooldown

E Gemstone Growth: Creu uses the power of the gemstone to increase his body size, increasing the size of his hit box by 25% and gaining 10%/12%/15%/18%/20% damage reduction for 4 seconds. Any enemy abilities that grow through Creu while he is in Gemstone Growth lose 10%/18%/26%/34%/40% damage

  • Can not reduce the damage of abilities classified as lasers

Damage: None

Range: Self

Mana Cost: 50/60/70/80/90

Cooldown: 17/17/16/15/15 (Upon the expiration of Gemstone Growth)

R Darkin Rage: Creu absorbs the power of the gemstone in his arm for short time breaking free of the restrictions of Mizku's body. While in Darking Rage Creu takes damage rapidly as Mizku's body is destroyed by the amount of Creu's essence being forced out of the destroyed gemstone; yet while in Darkin Rage Creu's auto attacks apply a mark to the units hit, when the mark is proc't the unit is knocked up (Enemies knocked up by Creu or allies gain immunity to the knock-up portion of his autos for 3 seconds), and he doubles his armor and magic resist. Allies around Creu while he is in Darkin Rage gain a rapidly growing shield and when Darkin Rage ends the shield lasts for 2 seconds before disappearing. Creu only stops Darkin Rage because if Mizku's body dies then so does he. Creu's passive range is increased to 550 during Darkin Rage

  • Creu can not cast Darking Rage if he is below 25% hp
  • Allies may shield Creu to block the damage of his ultimate
  • If Creu becomes invulnerable during Darkin Rage he still takes damage from Darking Rage while invunerable
  • If Creu becomes untargetable during Darkin Rage Creu does not take damage from Darkin Rage while untargetable
  • If Creu goes into stasis during Darkin Rage he does not take the damage from Darking Rage while in stasis

Damage: None

Duration: 8 seconds

Cost: 25% of maximum health over the 8 seconds (3.125% of his maximum health per second)

Shield range: 550 units around Creu

Shield strength; 25% of Creu's max health over 8 seconds.

Cooldown: 180/160/140 seconds upon cast

TL;DR

Lore: Guy named Mizku found Ezreal's twin gauntlet, this one had a Darkin in the gemstone. Is now possesed by the Darkin Creu and can use the gemstone to teleport and warp his body

Passive: Buffs allies resistances OR damage based on their current resistances and damage

Q: Roots target hit by the ability and 3 units close to it prioritizing champions

W: Channels -> Blink to ally -> cleanses ally -> can channel again -> opens doorway to spot of first channel which allies can walk through (Creu goes through it automatically)

E: Hitbox increases, gains damage reduction, bad abilities that pass through him lose speed. Doesn't work on lasers

R: Loses health over time, auto attacks apply knock up (enemies knocked up gain knock up immunity for short time) , gives nearby allies a shield.

regarding the lore, overall really nice. I get that mizku was a trader but creu isnt and wasnt and even with muzku in there fighting him it's a lot about creu now. Similar to varus his namesake reflects the darkin weapon, creus should too. I think it would be better if he was named Creu, the hand of the darkin or something similar also hand sounds like it could be supportive too.

For spending an hour on this you've got solid base stats. I'd also list his range as 125 since his weapon is a gauntlet but it will likely increase slightly when he uses his e. His ms should be like 335. Regens should be somewhere between rakan and taric.

p: not a bad passive, but the range might have to be made a bit larger. If it effects him as well, as a tank this will be relatively useless when effecting him but as a bruiser this could be quite a useful self passive to give him more defence when building damage.

q: good skill, really makes him a catcher hybrid warden or warden hybrid catcher. similar to mini varus ult (which tbh as an ult this is lacking and varus needs a different ult but as a skill this is really nice) but root on nearby enemies is more dependable. Mana cost is fair considering range and duration. Cooldown could be lowered by like a second or maybe 2 due to low range and low min duration.

w: interesting skill, nice counter to most catchers while also providing an element of mobility for creu. I would highly recommend removing the initial channel but keeping it on the second cast. a 1 sec channel makes its usefulness as a cleanse pretty bad considering many hard ccs are under 2 seconds so even if you react instantly, youre not cleansing much. Also make it effect basically everything except knocks and suppress on target ally. Additionally allow him to cleanse himself so long as he can use the dash, or in the case of being rooted or grounded perhaps this is when the initial cast could require a channel. For example he cant use the skill while stunned or silenced or charmed or feared or suppressed, while rooted or grounded he would require a channel for it to work, while knocked or slowed it works instantly. In any case upon successfully reaching an ally both are cleansed. The cooldown seems a bit long. I'd suggest 20/14/16/18/12. Mana cost is too high, id suggest 60/70/80/90/100.

e: i really like the growth mechanic as a skill since its mostly relegated to long term size growth on ults or passive like zac. The damage reduction is nice, id start with 13/16/19/22/25 and if it needs to be toned down to what youve got then that could be addressed at a later time. Regarding the projectile speed loss, im not a fan. 1: im pretty sure this would be difficult to code. Lol projectiles are spaghetti code aka super hard to change without breaking. Coding them to reduce speed on contact might be an issue for devs. Additionally it wont be very effective in most cases, not many projectiles passthrough unless theyre like AA in which case the slow is useless since theyll hit their target regardless. I think rather than slow the projectile speed, he should reduce the projectile damage by 10/20/30/40/50%. I thought about completely blocking them but hed literally be a moving windwall and everyone hates the stationary one as it is lmao. Cooldown seems fine. Mana cost is too high. I'd suggest 50/60/70/80/90.

R: not a bad skill, it should deactivate when he reaches like 3.125 or 6.25% hp to prevent him from killing himself. Change "loses health" to "takes damage" so that some of the damage can be mitigated by friendly shields placed on him since hes a front line tank and this skill will be effectively doing like 1k true damage late game. Assuming the 550 is a radius and not a diameter then thats a good range for the shield buff, additionally perhaps consider allowing his passive range to match this range while darkin rage is active. The shield should persist to 2/3/4 seconds after darkin rage ends or it should decay at the same rate it was generated. Also consider his aa applying a brittle after the initial knock for added utility, also his 2nd cc instance on the same target could be changed to a stun this would solidify his ability as a catcher. No mana is alright due to the health drain and it gives him something he can do when oom. The cooldown is like as high as a global ult, it should be more like 120/100/80.

overall i really like him. his kit is very solid without having too many effects (a problem i usually have with my kits lol). He will be built to focus hp with defence as a secondary which leaves him with little to no mana/mana regen. You gave him low base mana but made his skill costs on w, e, and r really high so i tuned those down. Also his cooldowns are a bit longer in some instances. I mainly looked at rakan for cooldowns but also looked at morgana for q, wind wall for e, and ori/taric for r. Depending on his q damage type he could be played off meta as a bruiser, especially if it is ad. If it is ap then you could add ap damage scaling to his AA during ult and he could be a bit like kayle in dealing solid mixed damage with a skill (although completely different in like every other aspect lol). Overall i would definitely enjoy playing creu if he is made.
