Appearance: A tall human with very pale skin that has a very slightly greyish blue tint. Hair is dark brown, shoulder length, and in a basic ponytail. Ponytail has emerald encrusted band holding it together. Face is long and narrow, shows sign of wear and aging. Eyes are bright red and glowing, like rubies shimmering in the light. Has long narrow beard that is slightly paler in color than hair. Beard is kept in ornate braid and goes down to about the shoulders. Wears a handband that is silver in color, has spherical amethyst crystals embedded into it. Body is broad and burly. Armor is basic platemail in design with three spikes on shoulders, one spike emerald, one spike sapphire, one spike ruby. Spikes look roughly cut and chipped in some areas. Diamond rhombus is set in the middle of his chest. Armor shows sign of wear and is steel in appearance. Armor goes down whole arm and hand. Gauntlets on the hand have topaz spheres on the knuckles. Hammer is wielded in left hand and is about 2.5-3 feet in length. Head is crystalline in appearance, again rough in appearance and chipped in some places. One side of the head is mallet shaped, with the other side coming to a point. In right hand is rhombus shaped steel shield, with crystal spikes coming out at diagonals at the four corner. In the middle of the shield is diamond sphere embedded into the metal. Has a cape attached to his armor, cape is silver in color with small rubies, emeralds, sapphires, and other jewels bedazzled into the cloth. Voice is deep, rich, and loamy; has touch of anger and sadness to it.

Passive: Gleaming Guardian Range: 850 units Whenever Taric casts a spell, he gains bonus armor equal to 50% of his current base armor (13-40) for 3/4/5/6 seconds. Nearby allies gain half of this bonus (6.5-20) for the same duration.

Q: Grasping Luster Range: 600 Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 CD: 12/11.5/11/10.5/10 After a 0.5 second delay, gems erupt from the ground, damaging and rooting any enemy champions within the 200 unit AoE.

Damage: 80/120/160/200/240(+30/35/40/45/50% Max armor) Root: 0.5/0.75/1.00/1.25/1.5 seconds

[Damage is calculated when enemy is rooted]

W: Shatter Range: 300 Cost: 65 CD: 10 Taric shatters some of the gems on his armor, losing a chunk of his max armor for 3 seconds and lodging gem shards into nearby enemies, damaging them, slowing them briefly, and causing them to lose the same amount of armor for the same duration.

[Passive is applied before Armor Debuff and Damage are calculated] [Damage is calculated before Armor Debuff is applied]

Armor Debuff: 10/15/20/25/30(+5% Total Armor) Damage: 80/110/140/170/200(+15/20/25/30/35% Total Armor) Magical damage Slow: 20/22.5/25/27.5/30%

E: Brilliant Aura Range: 400 Cost: 80/90/100/110/120 CD: 15 Taric causes the gems on his armor to glow, granting him and nearby allied champions shields that absorb incoming damage for 3 seconds.

For every allied champion granted a shield, the cooldown of this ability is reduced by 1 second (max 4 seconds)

Shield Strength: 70/110/150/190/230(+2.0/2.5/3.0/3.5/4.0% Taric’s max health)

R: Radiant Challenge Range: 450 Cost: 100 CD: 120/100/80 Taric marks a target enemy champion for 10/12.5/15 seconds. While the target is marked, Taric and allied champions gain /bonus movement speed when moving towards the target and deal bonus damage from all sources. If the target is killed while still marked, the mark spreads to the nearest enemy champion within 750 units. Only a max of 3 enemy champions can be marked.

Bonus movement speed: 30/40/50 (+1 per 800 of Taric’s max health)% Bonus Damage: 5/7.5/10 (+1 per 75 armor)%

[Bonus Damage is before Passive is applied]

I like it as a start for the rework. It gives Taric all the tools he needs to be as support which is good. Though what I like more is it gives him what he needs to be a top lane tank. The only bad thing about this kit is the passive aura on gleaming guardian. Riot has expressed their distaste for passive aura buffs because it gives tons of free stats(which I agree is true) and players generally don't notice it(which I wholeheartedly disagree with).

However a good and interesting fix for this would be to have multiple auras in the passive, triggered for a time after Taric has just used an ability, Armor on Q. MS boost on W, MR on E. Then you could give Taric all auras when he uses his ultimate.

I like the concept of his ult, since he is a paladin/knight. I think the duration could be increased though. Most fights happen around mid game where he'd be level 11 and I don't think 5 seconds is long enough to get a kill unless you have some huge initiators like a lee sinLeeSin, a wukongMonkeyKing or a malphiteMalphite who can get to the squishy marked target and kill them. Extend it to 10 seconds at the cap and it would be much more useful.
