LORE

Short Choruun, one of if not the last of the sphinxes in the world of the living, served Shurima's ancient empire by offering great feasts of wisdom to those he found deserving. Using magic known only by the sphinxes, Choruun is one of the few sphinxes to have survived the time when Daarkin were a scourge upon the world, now living in intentional solidarity in order to avoid further conflict from the world he now believes is unworthy of the knowledge he has. He is often searched for by scholars who wish to learn of his secrets, but most never find him. A few who have spent their entire lives seeking him have found him, but those who do often find they never remember anything of the encounter when they leave his presence.

Long Ages ago, sphinxes, ancient beings rumored to know everything there is to know about arcane magic, lived in the shifting sands of Shurima. They spent their whole lives studying the world and trading the knowledge they had with others of their kind. They were very secretive, believing knowledge to be the true currency of the realm. Once mankind was born into the world, sphinxes often avoided them, believing mankind to be nothing but simple creatures, not worthy of the gifts the sphinxes could bestow upon them. For ages, this mindset was absolute among the ancient beasts. However, one day, a sphinx named Choruun was born into the world. When he glanced upon the humans, he saw curious minds that sought progress towards a better future. Curious minds that could be kindled into works of art. He was thought of as a fool by his peers for this view, but he believed mankind had potential. After much preparation, Choruun set flight and landed in a city controlled by the man known as Azir. Bestowing upon Azir's empire a great wealth of knowledge that would serve to secure their position as one of if not the most powerful empire in the world, Choruun did kindle mankind to what he thought was perfection.

However, this did not last. One day, a great cataclysm happened, causing Azir and the empire of Shurima to disappear into the sands. Worse than this was the eventual arise of the Daarkin, twisted Ascended from Shurima that sought to wreck havoc upon the world. Choruun saw this gradual downfall as a betrayal by mankind, and returned to his people knowing he would be seen as a fool once again. Instead of laughter and shame, Choruun was met with horror upon seeing that the Daarkin had butchered his kind. Enraged at this event, Choruun swore that he would never aid mankind ever again. When the Daarkin who had slew his people turned to him, they were met with arcane magic so devastatingly powerful, it turned their bodies into nothing but mystical dust to be blown away in the breeze. Few Daarkin survived and those that did never returned to Choruun's domain. Not knowing if any of his kind remained, the sphinx created an incredibly complex illusionary maze within a fake oasis, secluding himself from the world for what he hoped was the rest of eternity.

As decades past, the world changed, but Choruun dared not to leave his place of peace. There, he meditated and learnt more and more of the secrets of magic. Eventually, the sphinx ascended to a point of arcane prowess that could not be escaped from without leaving his home. While the sphinx hated mankind and the world they had come to create, he left his home seeking knowledge. From this venture, Choruun learned of what the world had become since he hid away. To the north, two great empires clashed, each seeking to destroy the other. Further north, an ancient evil had begun to rise from its prison while mankind fought for simple power. A twisted island filled with vile undead sought to swallow the world in its shadow. Worst of all, the ancient empire of Shurima had arisen once again, this time bringing with it a being of power that even Choruun was intimidated by. The sphinx wondered if this was the being that caused the fall of his beloved empire long ago. However, he did not care. What he did care about was the fact that Daarkin seemed to still remain within the world. The ancient evil had been imprisoned, but not wiped not entirely. Choruun was infuriated at this. Mankind could not stand together to fix any task in the sphinx's eyes. It was doomed to be destroyed by its own ambition. Believing that it was up to him to cleanse the world of the Daarkin blight, Choruun began preparations to destroy them all like he had done to some long ago.

Allies: Ivern Malphite Ornn Rammus Skarner Enemies: Aatrox Azir Kayn Varus Xerath

STATS AND ABILITIES

Base Stats Health- 535 (+80 per level) Health Regen.- 6.5 (+0.5 per level) Mana- 455 (+25 per level) Mana Regen.- 8 (+0.6 per level) Armor- 29 (+3 per level) Magic Resist- 30 (+0.5 per level) Movement Speed- 335 Attack Damage- 54 (+3 per level) Attack Speed- 0.635 (+2.25% per level) Attack Range- 525 (Ranged)

Passive- Ancient Knowledge Whenever Choruun hits an enemy champion with an ability, he gains a stack of Arcane. Once Choruun has 4 stacks of Arcane, he consumes the stacks and gains a 50 (+10/20/30% Maximum Mana) (+35% AP) damage shield that lasts until it is destroyed. While the shield lasts, Choruun's abilities refund 20/25/30% of the mana spent to cast them and he cannot gain stacks of Arcane. Levels: 1/7/13

Ability 1- Prison of Will After a 1 second delay, a very small arcane prison is created at the targeted area for 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5 seconds, knocking down enemies within it upon creation. Enemies within are silenced, disarmed, revealed, and have their magic resist reduced by 20% (+4% per 100 AP). Enemies cannot walk through the edges of the arcane prison and it is treated as terrain for them. Choruun gains a stack of Arcane for each enemy champion affected by this ability. Cost: 18/21/24/27/30 mana Cool Down: 8/7.5/7/6.5/6 seconds Range: 550/650/750/850/950 AoE Radius: 150

Ability 2- Arcane Supremacy After channeling for 1 second, Choruun causes a blast of arcane energy to be unleashed upon the targeted area, dealing 100/145/190/235/280 (+80% AP) magic damage to enemies hit and stunning them for 1.25 seconds. If Arcane Supremacy hits an area where an arcane prison created by Prison of Will is located, the prison will collapse and create a 150-radius spire of arcane energy that lasts for 4/5/6/7/8 seconds and acts as terrain. Enemies within the collapsed prison are knocked into the air for 1.25 seconds. Enemies within 400 units of the spire have their magic resist reduced by 10% (+2% per 100 AP). Cost: 80/85/90/95/100 mana Cool Down: 11/10.5/10/9.5/9 seconds Range: 725 AoE Radius: 225

Ability 3- Sphinx's Mind Passive: While Choruun is affected by a shield, his damaging abilities deal an additional 4/5/6/7/8% (+1% per 100 AP) of the affected enemy's maximum health as magic damage and slow them by 20% (+4% per 100 AP) for 3 seconds. Active: Choruun focuses intensely on the targeted enemy champion, marking them for 4 seconds after a 0.5 second delay. If the marked enemy champion is damaged or applied crowd control by one of Choruun's abilities, the mark will be consumed to deal 60/90/120/150/180 (+30% AP) magic damage and cause the target to deal 20/25/30/35/40% reduced damage for the next 3 seconds. Cost: 65 mana Cool Down: 12 seconds Range: 1000

Ultimate- Mystical Shatter Choruun lets loose a savage, mystical roar that can be heard across the map in the target direction after channeling for 1 second, causing a giant wave of arcane energy to move across the map in that direction. Enemy champions hit take 200/275/350 (+50% AP) magic damage and have an arcane prison of the current rank of Prison of Will instantly created around them. Enemy minions and monsters hit take 75% damage and do not create an arcane prison. If the wave of arcane energy collides with a spire of arcane energy created by Arcane Supremacy, the spire will shatter into shards, dealing 50 (+20% AP) magic damage and stunning enemies within 400 units of the spire for 1/1.25/1.5 second(s). Cost: 100 mana Cool Down: 145/135/125 seconds Range: Global Projectile Speed: 1325 Width: 350

DESIGN Choruum is a Burst Mage designed to perform primarily in the Middle Lane and Support positions. His primary role is to control his enemies by constantly creating small arcane prisons for them to be trapped within while him and his team can easily hit them without them retaliating. His powerful surges of arcane energy also deal large amounts of damage, making Choruum himself a damage threat the enemy team will have a hard time ignoring, even from across the map. He is unique in that, unlike other Burst Mages, he is far more defensive in nature due to his ability's reactive and predictable nature. Instead of seeking out enemies, Choruum is fine with waiting for them to come to him and his team.

This concept looks really cool and it seems that you've put a lot of work on it, well done!

But if I can give a suggestion, I would say that you shouldn't mind stats that much, I can't tell if you had fun creating them or it was just a pain in the ass for you. If is the second option, just free your mind and let your creativity flow.

Honestly, I really like the concept, obviously could use tweaking and a change in abilities here and there for balancing, but he seems like a really fun champ

I don't know where did you take the images, but I'd like to walk around as an ancient magical sphinx, destroying people in Ryze style! :D Ok, jokes aside, I absolutely adore your idea but dont you think he should be categorized as artillery mage? (he has too much damage and cc so he should be squishy with shield as only defence) He has shields, tons of cc and terrain restrain and tons of damage, that would be op! If you hit just ultimate (global lmfao) at full build full ap, across the map, you would force the adc to recall before they have even left the base! You would do like a good 70-80% of their health without the interactions.....but I like that this champ revolves around some kind of strategy...you need to hit the prison for things to happen, to create more terrain knockup damage and to get the most out of your ultimate!(though, please remove the dmg reduction on enemies from E, it will be to overloaded and overpowered - you have terrain and cc for days already) I love it, RIOT PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN, THIS MADE ME LOGIN TO UPVOTE AND COMMENT - AND I NEVER LOGIN! (too lazy XD) [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
