LORE Brakka'Gar is the catalyst that keeps the void moving. Once he arrives in a dimension, it is marked for death. After Vel'Koz has studied sufficient enough data, the Void deems if the world is suitable for consumption. Now they have released Brakka'Gar into Runeterra and they are looking to consume Runeterra, once and for all. When Brakka'Gar was released into Runeterra, all of the ground shook and everyone knew of his presence. He stumbled across the ground at first before beginning to eat the ground itself. He grew in strength and shortly afterwards began to march across the world, eating valleys into the world. It will only be a matter of time before he turns to the cities of Runeterra.

KIT

Brakka'Gar, the Void Catalyst Tank Health- 555 (+80 per level) Health Regen- 0 (+0 per level) Armor- 31 (+4 per level) Magic Resist- 32 (+1.25 per level) Movement Speed- 350 Attack Damage- 69 (+4 per level) Attack Speed- 0.5 (+1% per level) Attack Range- 175 (Melee)

Passive- Primal Consumption Innate: Brakka'Gar has no health regeneration and cannot be healed except from allied champion abilities, his own abilities, life steal, and spell vamp. However, Brakka'Gar has 15/25% increased armor, magic resist, and attack damage. Levels: 1/11

Ability 1- Absorption Cannon Active: Brakka'Gar begins charging his shoulder cannon to fire in the target direction. If Brakka'Gar channels for less than 1 second, Brakka'Gar will release an orb from his shoulder dealing 60/80/100/120/140 (+60% AD) physical damage and stunning the first enemy hit for 0.6/0.7/0.8/0.9/1.0 second(s). If Brakka'Gar channels for at least 1 second, he will then release a continuous beam from his shoulder that deals 5/6/7/8/9 (+7% AD) physical damage every 0.1 seconds and heals Brakka'Gar for 30/32.5/35/37.5/40% of the damage dealt. The beam will fire for 3/3.25/3.5/3.75/4 seconds towards Brakka'Gar's cursor. This beam can be blocked, but the target blocking will still take damage. The beam will attempt to follow the cursor. Towers take 25% increased damage from this ability, but the heal from the beam is reduced to 15%. Cool Down: 14/13/12/11/10 sec. Orb Range: 650 Orb Projectile Speed: 975 Beam Range: 725 Beam Width: 50

Ability 2- Terrain Devourer Active: Brakka'Gar devours all impassable terrain within 225/275/325/375/425 units in front of him after a 0.75 second delay. The impassable terrain will return after Brakka'Gar casts this ability 2/3/4/5/6 more times. Units inside the impassable terrain when it is created are knocked away to the nearest passable terrain. Impassable terrain eaten in this way is stores for use with World Regurgitate. A maximum of 3/3/4/4/5 charges for World Regurgitate can be held. Structures, impassable terrain at the edge of the map, and base walls cannot be destroyed by this ability. Cool Down: 18/16/14/12/10 sec. Range: 225/275/325/375/425

Ability 3- Land Destruction Active: Brakka'Gar sweeps up all land in front of him, dealing 10/30/50/70/90 (+20/35/50/65/80% AD) physical damage to enemies hit and knocking them back to the edge of the ability range. The area affected by this ability becomes impassable terrain for 3/3.5/4/4.5/5 seconds. Cool Down: 23/21/19/17/15 sec. Range: 300/325/350/375/400 Width: 175/200/225/250/275

Ultimate- Stomach Eruption Active: Brakka'Gar regurgitates all terrain eaten by Terrain Devourer in a cone in front of him. For every terrain eaten, this ability deals 100/125/150 (+20% bonus AD) (+10% AP) physical damage. At the edge of the cone of this ability, all of the terrain is dumped for 3/3.5/4 seconds. Allies can move through this terrain. Cool Down: 125/105/85 sec. Range: 600 Cone Degrees: 50/70/90 Note: The terrain dumped at the edge is not the terrain eaten exactly, but a wall of digested rocks.

TIPS

When Playing as Brakka'Gar

  • Brakka'Gar gains no benefits from teleporting back to his own fountain except for the purpose of buying items. Remember this when you are low in-lane. Use the healing from his Absorption Cannon instead to heal.
  • Brakka'Gar is an extremely powerful pusher, being able to travel across the map extremely quickly due to Terrain Devourer and being able to destroy towers with Absorption Cannon. Furthermore, Land Destruction can block off large sections of the lane to prevent enemy champion and minion movement to stop Brakka'Gar from pushing.
  • Use Terrain Devourer to eat your own created terrain from Land Destruction whenever they it gets in your way. On the other hand, Land Destruction can be used to temporarily block off consumed terrain from Terrain Devourer, preventing use of the passable terrain created.
  • Primal Consumption may seem like a huge down fall, but the other stat benefits from the passive can more than make up for the loss with proper itemization, allowing Brakka'Gar to have extremely high armor, magic resist, and attack damage.
  • Due to Brakka'Gar's low attack speed, it is smart to only use his basic attacks in a champion fight for quick bursts of damage. Later on if you can build attack speed, Brakka'Gar can attack much more quickly and his basic attacks will be very powerful.
  • Brakka'Gar helps immobile champions in chases and traversing the map by removing "obstacles" for them. He can also be their downfall with all of his creation of impassable terrain.

When Playing Against Brakka'Gar

  • Brakka'Gar can be chipped away quickly in lane if he is not allowed to leach off of yourself or minions. Use this to your highest advantage.
  • Brakka'Gar is a pushing force. Be mindful when he enters a lane.
  • Make use of terrain consumed by Brakka'Gar if you can. His benefit can also be yours.
  • Absorption Cannon's raw damage may seem unbeatable, but it has many drawbacks. Standing behind minions and moving from side to side rapidly will cause you to take much less damage from Absorption Cannon. Applying appropriate crowd control to Brakka'Gar can also cancel the ability entirely.

TRIVIA

  • This concept is inspired off of Orga from Godzilla.
  • Brakka'Gar is the only champion that can directly manipulate impassable terrain.
  • Brakka'Gar is the only champion that can shut down a tower without Ohmwrecker.
  • Brakka'Gar has the highest base attack damage, armor, and magic resist in the game due to his passive, but also the lowest health regeneration due to his passive.
  • Brakka'Gar can eventually outheal turret damage with his Absorption Cannon once he gets enough attack damage.
  • Brakka'Gar can achieve the highest damage per second with basic attacks of any champion in the game if he builds enough attack speed.
  • Absorption Cannon can nearly outrange turrets with it's range being 725 while turret's range is 775.

END GAME STATS (unmodified) Health- 1915 Armor- 99 (124 with passive) Magic Resist- 53 (66 with passive) Movement Speed- 350 Attack Damage- 137 (171 with passive) Attack Speed- 0.58 Attack Range- 175 (Still Melee)

Any feedback for the big guy now that I am done editing the post for now?

Thank you guys for all of the support with this champion. Brakka'Gar has gone along very well and I will continue to edit him, but I wanted to thank you for upvoting and giving me feedback! Thank you!

"Towers take 50% increased damage from this and are affected differently. The orb deals 60/90/120/150/180 (+75% AD) physical damage and shuts down the turret for 1/1.5/2/2.5/3 seconds. The beam deals 6/7.5/9/10.5/12 (+9% AD) physical damage per 0.1 seconds and heals Brakka'Gar for 40/45/50/55/60% of the damage dealt."

This looks like an awesome champion. However, I think this part of his Q should be removed/nerfed. This pretty much looks like mid game he can pretty much solo tower if hes left alone for ~10 seconds with the right items. He can stop towers or heal from attacking them. This seems WAY too op to me. I think if you keep the ability to be able to attack turrets but w/o 50% increased dmg and the stun/heal this would be more balanced.

This is just my opinion, your opinion on my opinion is welcome :D. Again this looks like an awesome champ idea and I would love to see him played.

This character is a interesting idea and seems like a lot of fun. But heres some q's on the details. How large is he? Color scheme? Quotes? Recall? Interactions?

  1. As far as how big he is, I would say around as tall as Nautilus, but about as bulky as Gragas. He is pretty BIG, but not exactly a giant like max stack Cho'Gath or the new Sion.

  2. I would say he would go with the general void theme of purple. His unique colors though, I would have to throw in some dark brown and a bit of grey.

  3. and 5. I am actually thinking of quotes and interactions for him right now. I think he will likely interact with other Void Beasts along with Malzahar and Kassadin. Will probably interact with Malphite, Maokai, and other beings of nature in the League as well.

  4. I'm not sure. I would probably say him launching himself back to the fountain by stomping the ground or something of the sorts. Maybe he launches himself into a void portal and then slams back down at the fountain.

I am up for any feedback on this guy. I really like the idea of a champion based around manipulating terrain and pushing so any feedback will help!

Does firing a Lux laser at point blank 1-shot him? (Godzilla 2000 reference)

I'm not sure why you've made him unable to regen health naturally. I'm also not sure having a mini-ohmnwreaker is the best idea. Other than that I like the terrain manipulation.

He can't be healed in anyway except from allied champions' spells, his own spells, life steal, and spell vamp. I wanted to create a unique hero that stays alive by dealing damage. In this form, killing people with his Q. This makes it so he has this unique theme of always feeling like a monster when you play against or as him. No matter what happens, unless he goes and heals from the jungle, he will always come back to fight.

"Towers take 50% increased damage from this and are affected differently. The orb deals 60/90/120/150/180 (+75% AD) physical damage and shuts down the turret for 1/1.5/2/2.5/3 seconds. I can definitely edit it if you find it too powerful. I would like to keep a bit of it though. Maybe remove all of the modifications, but make it so he deals 25% more damage to structures instead of 50% more with benefits.

Does firing a Lux laser at point blank 1-shot him? (Godzilla 2000 reference)

Or in LoL manner, 1 more damage if he is within 100 units of Lux when fired. :D

World... Eruption? Hhhmm, maybe Inner Eruption, something with Eruption. I will edit the name when I think of a better one.

EDIT: How about Stomach Eruption? I changed it to that. Thoughts?

I'm not sure if removing terrain, even temporarily is feasible. If it is, might be a bit op for his team, but I'm not a design guy. Also does he have mana? I know numbers aren't exactly the most thought out, but those cds feel brutal. Is he intended to be a tank? Jungler? Maybe health costs could be a thing?

  1. I think it is feasible. With the technology of today, they could find a way. It might not be super pretty, but it really shouldn't be with how this guy is. Also I dont think it is too OP since his enemies can use it too while they are open and not blocked by Brakka'Gar's made impassable terrain.

  2. and 6. No, no mana. Him not having health regeneration and unable to be healed from the fountain is a huge limit and mana or health costs would be just another limiter that doesn't need to be there. I didn't want this guy to be able to heal, by the way, because I wanted him to feel like a monster. He has no real reason to retreat unless he has a healing ally because he has nothing to go back to (unless he is buying items or going under a tower, although thats not really retreating).

  3. The CD's are brutal, but they are required to be while still making his kit not incredibly broken early game but still viable later on. They all have appropriate cool downs for what they do in my opinion. He also can deal some nasty damage with his basic attacks due to his passive, his cool downs actually being the the ending reason why he gains more attack damage. There were other reasons, but that made the decision final.

  4. and 5. I didn't want him to have a cemented role, but he has enough crowd control through terrain moving and his Q and E to be a Tank. He is also pretty tanky. As a jungler, I can see him being that. When I first made this thread he was a much bigger pusher than he is now so a Lane felt more suited. But his sustain is ok for the Jungle. I feel like it would be a risky pick, but rewarding one. He also isn't the best at ganking unless you can slowly tunnel your way through a wall with lots of CDR to your enemy. Basically, he would need to be built through runes, masteries, and early game items to Jungle and Gank but he could be a devastating one.

BREAK YOU is a reference to batman. I just know it.

his q should be a skill shot not a target

Meep Man1 votes

{quoted}

his q should be a skill shot not a target

That would be cool. His Q like a skill shot and his target beam like a minature Vel'koz laser that doesn't pierce. Probably will get small damage buff for compensation.

EDIT: It has been done. The orb and the laser deal slightly more damage. However, I will probably change the damage on the beam considering now the maximum damage on a champion on Level 1 is 200 (+280% AD) over 4 seconds. But then again, it does have a lot of drawbacks such as that it doesn't have a slow and can be blocked. I will reduced the damage based on feedback. By the way, at max rank the damage is now 360 (+280% AD) over 4 seconds.

EDIT: I edited the beam to have less healing versus towers AND its duration now scales with rank, so it only goes for 3 seconds at Level 1. Still very high base damage, but less questionable.

BREAK YOU is a reference to batman. I just know it.

MAYBE!

I have a lot of concerns with the removal of terrain, even if it's temporary. That would be like allowing the entire team travel through RekSai tunnels, which would provide too much mobility to certain champs that are meant to be handicapped by their movement (mostly tanks--they specifically aren't meant to be mobile).

But aside from that. I just wanted to point out a flaw in your naming scheme. All of the void creatures follow a 6-letter naming scheme, broken into two sets of three (Abc'Def). The only exception is Chogath, who missed the naming structure bus because he was released immediately after the game was created. I think it's pretty safe to say that Rito will stick to that 6 letter structure moving forward, though.

That being said, maybe shorten it to Rak'Gar or Bak'Gar?

  1. I find the removal of terrain to be unique and balanced since it can also be used by the enemy team as well. Imagine placing a Rek'sai tunnel, but the enemy can go through it too. Defeats the purpose of using it for immediate escape. Yes, he is definitely more mobile with it, but he is still only as mobile as his enemy if not less. Sure he has lots of ways to block the path off temporarily, but no other champion in the game has to use another spell to correct what another spell has done except for champions with health costs, which is a basic need on those champions. Also Brakka'Gar cannot go through a lot of walls instantly that Rek'sai can go through.

EDIT: I added a 0.75 second delay to the ability. Not a channel, but a delay so it isn't instant terrain removal.

2.Well, it is too late to change the name since the title of this thread cannot be changed without admin modification. Next time, I guess, I will remember the 6 letter rule. For now, he shall remain Brakka'Gar, although I kinda like his current name since it "sounds dangerous", but also rolls off the tongue.

The concept reminds me of a combination of Bakasura and Vel'Koz, excellent really. But about the quotes... do you seriously think Riot actually puts in effort to give rival/ally quotes, HAH. Best we can do at the moment of Veigar laughing when he kills someone after they die from his ult.
