Trix, the Grand Bug Enthusiast
Trix is a female yordle that is absolutely obsessed with bugs! She not only is obsessed with and loves the little guys, but she can also communicate with them - understanding and speaking their language. They are her best friends and she even has rare bugs that no one has ever seen before they are so rare, one might say special one-of-a-kind species...
They are more than just her hobby and passion, but some of these bugs are battle ready and ready to serve and protect Trix at any moment notice! Though Trix herself is ill suited for combat, her leadership and kindness is not, directing her best friends to win every challenge and battle that comes their way!
Trix is a commander-mage, leading her army of insects to win her battles for her, of course if you send your buddies to just die they may lose your trust and will not obey you for awhile. Trix is completely useless on her own, she is 100% reliant on her insects for her damage output, so lead your troops wisely and dominate the battle field... or suffer the consequences...
Trix is a micro-managing heavy champion, but relatively straight forward and simple to play as. With that said, the great Trix players are going to be really good, while the new Trixes have a lot to be desired for the most part...
Attack Range: None Movement: 340 units per second; bugs move 25% faster than Trix Attack Speed: None, +4% per level, bug attack rate scales with attack speed Attack Damage: None / Cannot Gain Any Defense: Average Range Mage
Bug Leading (Passive):
Trix is a commander of an army, an army of bugs! She must always prove she is a great leader to earn the trust of her brave soldiers, up to a 5 star rating, maintaining this 5 star rating offers a morale boost to your brave soldiers, doubling their movement speed and an additional effect. Some bugs will leave the battle field if your star rating is too low, being automatically summoned again when you acquire the minimum star rating for that bug once again.
If Trix continually relies on a bug too heavily to do everything, aside from her first and most loyal companion, Benny, she will lose a star. Reversely, remembering to use your entire army will grant you a star.
If your army is receiving too much damage, though they can never be directly killed off, Trix will lose a star. Reversely, keeping your army safe and taking minimal damage will cause Trix to gain a star.
Benny, the Faithful Beetle: Benny will always be by Trix's side, staying within 650 range to her and having melee ranged attacks, he deals 50 - 100 (+45%AP) physical damage for his attacks. These attacks follow all of the same rules as a basic attack. Benny will only attack what Trix ordered him to attack. Benny cannot be attacked.
Every 12th basic attack from Benny offers Trix a star, and receives this twice as fast when attacking enemy champions, enemy structures, and epic monsters. Benny however cannot grant Trix a 5 star rating.
Attack Speed: 0.694 attacks per second
Cooldown Reduction offers twice as much Bonus Attack Speed instead, up to 80% from this source.
(All bugs reveal the area around them.)
Ant Army (Q):
Rating Requirement: N/A; Leash: 700 units; Attack: 75 units
Though they may appear generic, they are grand in numbers! Every star that Trix has will summon another ant soldier at her disposal, traveling in a heard together, taking turns attacking, and dealing 4/8/12/16/20(+10%AP) magic damage per attack.
At 5 stars, there are 3 additional ants that are summoned.
Attack Speed: 0.585 attacks per second
Active: Order the Ant Army to move or attack.
Grizzle, the Bombardier Blex (W):
Rating Requirement: 3 Stars; Leash: 1050 units; Attack; 0 units; Explosion: 350 units
With powerful wings and a venomous bomb that he shoots out below him, will cause an explosion that deals 100/130/160/190/220(+80%AP) magic damage to struck enemies and stunning for 1.5 seconds.
At 5 stars, Grizzle attacks twice as fast, but stuns for only 0.75 second.
Attack Speed: 0.174/0.183/0.192/0.201/0.210 attacks per second
Active: Order Grizzle, the Bombardier Blex to move or attack.
Passive: When Trix is below 40% health and Grizzle is not summoned, then Benny will stun his next target for 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 seconds, but he and any other bugs cannot attack the target while stunned. This occurs one time every 7 seconds.
(Grizzle is a flier, able to fly over all units and terrain.)
Ax and Vy, the Twin Bloomers (E):
Rating Requirement: 2 and 4 Stars; Leash: 600 units; Attack: 300 units
Ax or Vy will be summoned at random at a 2 star rating and the other will be summoned into play at a 4 star rating.
Ax will deal 30/45/60/75/90(+40%AP) magic damage. Vy will slow enemies down by 15/20/25/30/35% for 1.5 seconds.
At 5 stars, Ax will deal double damage and Vy will slow for double the power.
Attack Speed: 0.565 attacks per second
Active: Order Ax and Vy, the Twin Bloomers to move or attack.
(Ax and Vy are fliers, able to fly over all units and terrain.)
Khan, the Ginormous Guulok (R):
Rating Requirement: 5 Stars; Leash: Global; Attack: 750 units
With giant claws, Khan strikes at his target, dealing 60/100/140(+60%AP) plus 12%(+1% per 100AP) of the target's maximum health as magic damage. Khan moves 55% slower than all of the other bugs. Khan is so massive that he can even block enemy abilities and attacks that get in his way!
Attack speed: 0.545 attacks per second
Active: Order Khan, the Ginormous Guulok to move or attack.
Passive: It is 35/70/105% easier to gain a star. It is 15/30/45% harder to lose a star.
UPDATE NOTES:
Grizzle, the Bombardier Blex: Damage increased to 100/130/160/190/220 +80%AP from 80/120/160/200/240 +65%AP magic damage Stun duration increased to 1.5 from 1.25 seconds; reduced value remains at 0.75 second
Base attack speed lowered to 0.174/0.183/0.192/0.201/0.210 from 0.235 attacks per second 5 star rating still doubles the attack speed, but this is obviously affected by the base attack speed
(Attack speed might have been too high and could lead to some rare, but still abusive scenarios with an extreme attack speed build, so this should prevent perma stunning or near perma stunning scenarios entirely.)
(The lower attack speed helps make Grizzle feel more like a spell and have the player a lot more conscious of his attack usage since his has an area stun, a very power thing so misuse is very punishing. The base attack speed scaling with ranks will feel more like a base cooldown decreasing with rank ups, which helps make it feel similar to other stun abilities. Damage up because of a lower attack speed.)
(Some other bugs might be changed a bit in the future to feel more spell-like rather than attackers, we will see.)
