@Riot: Something just crossed my mind ( Sion, Udyr and Karthus)

What's the difference between the new Sion, Spirit Guard Udyr and Karthus in terms of quality and effort put into it? SGU is nothing but a completely new VU for Udyr, literally the same kind of a VU like Sion's and Karthus but it costs 3k+rp while Sion and Karthus are just a VU lol...doesn't makes any sense to me really.

  • Different voice
  • Different look
  • Different animations
  • Exactly the same quality of texture
  • All 3 champs kept their old theme

Explanation?

Karthus and Sion needed reworks, skins are just fun things. Rumble, Sona, Ezreal, Daruis and others have skins that change their voice and animations. Its a skin, not a rework, no abilities were changed.
