Yo, Battlecast Sion!
Now here's something; a skin idea of mine I've had for a while.
Okay, I noticed in the Battlecast AU (I assume it’s one), Viktor has only made "monsters" into Battlecast, e.g. Voidborn, Urgot, and Xerath. They're sentient beings, yes, but they're all "monstrous" to some extent or at least "nonhumanoid". Prior to their augmentation, the Battlecast champions were inherently dangerous and would naturally require some method of control.
I know from Battlecast Vel'Koz's official skin preview that Viktor restrained Vel'Koz's intelligence from any nonessential "form of expression". Xerath, I imagine, has been sealed within a containment suit. Urgot likely follows Viktor willingly, if it's true that they're on friendly terms (I myself don't know). Kog'Maw doesn't have much of a will to begin with, so I imagine harnessing/reprogramming him wasn't too much of a challenge for Vik, hence why Kog'Maw's voiceover didn't change; Kog's personality wouldn't present much of a problem. In contrast, I see Skarner requiring substantial reprogramming/indoctrination on part of his fierce independence and probable will (the dude's patient; he's willing to wait centuries for his people to return); hence why Battlecast Skarner has a whole new voiceover. Same deal with Cho'Gath.
Excuse the ramble, but there's a reason behind it (feel free to comment on it though! It was worthy of a separate post). So, the Battlecast are "monsters". They require failsafes, countermeasures, reprogramming, etc., to control. Given those parameters, and the nature of the champion himself, don't you think Sion would make an excellent candidate for Battlecasting? By normal standards, he's monstrous. Powerful. And exploitable. What wits Sion has left wouldn't frustrate the function Viktor would give him; he's meant to destroy. All Vik would need to do is point him in the right direction.
So Sion’s given the traditional Battlecast treatment: a new gunmetal body, red lights and power sources, the whole nine yards. But otherwise he looks the same as prior to augmentation, e.g. hulking physique, prominent jaw, armored-up left arm, etc. Viktor didn’t change much about Sion’s overall structure, but he still made changes (I pretty much mashed together a whole bunch of robot things I've seen):
> * Sion's jaw resembles a Battlecast Poro's. > * Sion's axe has a rocket booster opposite to the blade, which he uses to slam down his Q. > * Sion still has a peg-leg, but it look like John Silver's cybernetic leg from Treasure Planet. http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/disney/images/1/1b/Treasure-planet-disneyscreencaps.com-2429.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150502200755 > * Sion's "ponytail" is replaced with a stylistic/holographic plume, inspired by the plume of a killer robot named Fulgore from Killer Instinct. See here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZZEXpm1DFU > * Sion's Soul Furnace is replaced with a nuclear reactor, or a Hextech analogue. The reactor has immense power output, but if Sion’s infrastructure takes too much damage, i.e. he dies, the reactor goes critical. Viktor meant it as an asset denial protocol, since he’s fighting a Resistance that he doesn’t want reverse-engineering his tech. The unstable reactor’s meant to tie in with Sion’s innate, where he goes berserk and starts tearing things apart. His metal begins to smoulder from the reactor’s heat (ever notice that his skin turns char-brown when his innate’s going?) and his eyes and furnace overflow with energy (just like how his eyes and furnace glow bright red during this). The reactor’s meltdown also justifies why Sion can’t keep himself alive indefinitely while berserking when he has life-steal. > * Sion's shield (W) is produced by a shield generator. Not sure what'd it look like; still blood red, hexagon pattern (that delves into PROJECT a bit too much), or something else entirely. > * Sion's roar (E) is replaced with a sonic/shockwave emitter. His jaw actually lowers/separates to expose the emitter. Like so: http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/6/61/TransWarpedStarscreamsScream.jpg > * For Sion's ultimate, his charge, he engages rocket boosters like these, located on his back: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x17a4hg_godzilla-against-mechagodzilla-fight-clips_shortfilms >* Perhaps his armored arm (the one he leads with while charging) even transforms into a ramming shield or something.
Phew. That was a lot of text. I'm no artist, but I can imagine pretty vividly. Whadda think?
