[Champion Concept] Scorn, The Infused

Candurill·1/11/2016, 5:25:17 PM·8 votes·2,591 views

Hey everybody :D Thank you for looking at my champion concept. It has been a while since ive been this proud of a champion I created, so im really psyched to show him to you. Now, I am still no game designer, so he is not perfect. Feedback is ALWAYS welcome, as long as you keep it civilised (THIS CHAMPION IS SOOOOOO BAD is not nice for example, try and give me a reason for you disliking the concept).

I have also created a few other concepts that all come together in a single theme i call "The Storybook Series" and are all characters of Valoran folklore. One of these concepts is: Sham'a, The Candle Maker

Identity:

Name: Scorn Gender: Male Race: (Presumed) Human Birthplace: Unknown Origin: Noxus

Role: Assassin Secondary Role: Fighter

http://s17.postimg.org/6dngvpbov/Scorn.jpg

Appearance: For those who do not know, the picture is concept art made for the Dragon age 2 character Fenris. I take no credit for the creation of this piece of art and I only use it as a general idea. He should have a bit of a weary way of walking, like he expects something to jump out of the bushes at any moment. His voice should sound clear and masculine, with a determined ring to it.

Kit:

HEALTH 582 – 2010 ATTACK DAMAGE 60 – 136 HEALTH REGEN. 8.3 – 17.6 ATTACK SPEED 0.71 MANA 300 – 990 MANA REGEN. 6.0 – 17.9 ARMOR 17.0 – 68.5 MAGIC RES. 25.1 – 53.4 MELEE 150 MOV. SPEED 345

Auto Attacks: Scorn lashes at foes with blasts of force, reminiscent of blade slashes. For normal attacks he slashes horizontally with either his left or his right hand. For critical strikes he slashes forward with both hands.

Passive, Infused Skin: The pure magic that has been branded into Scorn's skin absorbs magical energies around him. If his Mana is full, any additional gained Mana (from all sources, including base Mana regen) will overpower his Skin, up to a cap of 20% (lvl1) / 25% (lvl6) / 30% (lvl11) / 35% (lvl16) of his maximum Mana. His skin passively charges Mana aswel, by 2.5 (lvl1) / 4 (lvl6) / 5.5 (lvl11) / 7 (lvl16) every second. This charged Mana is not consumed in the traditional manner, but will enable you to activate Phase Walk and empower certain aspects of Scorn's abilities when he is Ethereal. Additionally, Scorn will resist 4% (lvl1) / 6% (lvl6) / 8% (lvl11) / 10% (lvl16) of all magic damage done to him and absorb it in the form of Charged Mana.

Q, Ethereal Fist: Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 seconds Mana Cost: 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 Mana Active: Scorn dashes a short distance to a target enemy champion and punches through them with an Ethereal fist, dealing 50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 (+ 90% bonus AD) magic damage and ending up on the opposite side of the target. The target is then slowed by 30% for 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 seconds. During Phase Walk: When this ability is used while Scorn is in Ethereal form, it will rematerialise him (deactivate Phase Walk) and trigger the shockwave early, dealing up to 200 / 250 / 300 / 350 / 400 of the Charged Mana as bonus magic damage upon the AoE and stuns the target for 1.5 seconds in stead of displacing it. All other enemies are still pushed back.

W, Magic Vigor: Cooldown: 20 / 19 / 18 / 17 / 16 seconds Active: Scorn channels all his magical power into his skin, hardening it against incoming attacks. All damage done to him will drain his Mana instead of his health for up to 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 / 2.75 / 3 seconds or until he runs out of Mana. While Magic Vigor is active, Scorn cannot gain Charge from any source. During Phase Walk: If Scorn is Ethereal when activating Magic Vigor, Scorn will ignore any additional effects that abilities might have aside from redirecting damage to his Mana bar for the full duration of this ability. However, any Charged Mana consumption is doubled.

E, Surging Strikes: Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 seconds after deactivation. Mana Cost: No cost for te first 5 strikes. Will then start costing 10 (+5 per strike) Mana per attack. **Toggle:**Scorn allows magic energy to surge through his attacks, gaining 10% attack speed with every successive hit (up to 50%) that will start to decay (5% per second) after 2 seconds of not attacking and dealing 10 / 30 / 50 / 70 / 90 (+15% AP) bonus magic damage with every hit. Every fifth strike (within 2 seconds from each other) leeches the bonus magic damage from the enemies Mana and Charges his skin for the same amount (Mana does not need to be full to gain Charged Mana from this ability). If he attacks an enemy without Mana (including monsters and minions) he simply gains 50% of the dealt magic damage as Charged Mana in stead. During Phase Walk: If Scorn is in Ethereal form when activating Surging Strikes, all of Scorn's attacks will consume an 15 additional Charged Mana per hit and ignore 10% / 20% / 30% / 40% / 50% of the targets resistances until either Surging Strikes or Phase Walk is deactivated. The effect on the fifth hit is forfeit however.

R, Phase Walk: Cooldown: 25 / 20 / 15 seconds. Mana cost: 10 Charged Mana (+ 2.5 per second active) for every second Phase Walk is active. This ability can only be activated if Scorn has Charged Mana. Toggle: Scorn fuses with the magical energies around him, breaking out of any CC and becomes Ethereal (not stealthed/invisible but translucent). During this time he gains 35% / 40% / 45% movement speed, ignores unit collision and can phase through terrain (in a straight line with his current movement speed) every 3 seconds by right clicking on it. If Scorn runs out of Charged Mana, he rematerialises. If he rematerialises inside or next to an enemy unit (enemy unit must be in his auto attack range) it produces a shockwave with a 350 unit radius that deals 150 / 200 / 250 (+ 100% AP) magic damage and pushes all enemy units to the edge of the AoE. If Scorn runs out of Charged Mana while he is in terrain, he will travel to the other side, where Phase walk will be deactivated.

Gameplay:

General: The champion that I had wanted to make was a powerful AD champion that would specialise in taking down bursty AP casters. Scorn is pretty much the product of this. His kit is designed to single out the generally squishy mages and take them out quick, before they can do any more harm to your team. I also gave him some abilities which would make him more resistant to magic damage. ADC's however, would have less problems with Scorn. He may still be able to stun the target and dish out some damage, but he has no extra defences against AD oriented champions and thus lasts less long then against magic users. His ultimate weakness would be tanks and juggernauts. He may have damage, but his kit is built to kill quick and clean. Unless he has some serieus damage boosting build, he wont be able to burst the tank and stand there next to them with his pants down....Better keep that ult ready to GTFO of there...

Abilities explained:

Infused Skin: This is what makes Scorn powerful against Mages. Resisting magic damage was something that I had planned for from the start. The Mana leech came in not long after. Many people would say that this would make him too powerful against any AP midlaner and to them i say...yes...but so is Zed...or Yasuo...or Veigar....But for all these champions, the same goes. Do not let them hit you. Scorn's is a Melee range champion, meaning that he has to be close to hit you with anything. In my opinion, if you are an AP midlaner and you allow your Melee enemy to get close enough to hit you, then you are doing something wrong. This passive will grow in power if you build more base Mana, so rushing a Manamune is a very good idea.

Ethereal Fist: His main gap closer and only form of CC. Use this as an execute or to catch up with stragglers when Phase Walk is not active. Since this ability will place you at the exact opposite side of the enemy, no champion running from you will ever escape your grasp (unless you like...dive under a tower for it...). Keep in mind that, although the bonus damage from the charged Mana scales up to 400 at max level in this ability, rushing it will not help unless you have built some extra base Mana. His Mana bar wil only overcharge for about 15% (at lvl 9, about the lvl at which you can have maxed Ethereal fist) and this is nowhere near 400 if you haven't built any extra base Mana.

Magic Vigor: This is his main sustaining ability and what makes him viable for the jungle. It will give you a choice to what end to use your charged Mana from Infused Skin. Will you use it as extra damage? Or will you use it as a spell-shield? When up against a bursty AP mage, the extra damage would be the way to go, but if said mage has some strong CC, then maybe going for the spell-shield would be wiser. Choices, choises...

Surgin Strikes: YAAAAAAY extra AP damage on his aa's!!! This is his main damaging ability, both in the jungle and in lane. Only landing a few hits while Surging Strikes is active will cause you to deal tons of damage in a short time. For once, building extra base Mana has little effect on this abilities active. In stead, building some Attack Speed or AD would be more profitable.

Phase Walk: This was actually the first ability he had. The idea of him being able to just pop up through terrain to gank people was my main idea for this champion and what i kept even though some people said it may be a little too OP. I already put a cooldown on the Phasing part so i hope i have balanced it a little.

Items:

Start: item 1041 and item 2032

Build towards: item 1403 or item 1415

First items: item 3006, item 3004, item 3174, item 3153

End game (Situational): item 3046, item 3091, item 3146, item 3031, item 3072, etc.

Combo:

  • Scorn will play well with champions that have hard cc and will allow him to deal lots of damage with Surging Strikes. This means champions such as: Nami , Taric , Zilean and Zyra for example.

  • He will be strong against mages that heavily rely on their AP burstiness but have relatively low mobility, IF he can get close that is... This means champions such as: Velkoz , Annie , Veigar and Brand for example.

  • Counter picks would be champions with high mobility/CC/shields as well as damage, or AD assassins without Mana. This means champions such as: Lux , Zed , Yasuo and Ahri for example

Scorned in the jungle... I believe that Scorn would be best in the jungle. With enough sustain from Magic Vigor to survive the camps, easy navigating through the jungle with Phase Walk and a nice engage with Ethereal Fist. Surging Strikes would be his main damaging power, but other then that you should build him aa oriented. With some extra base attack speed and AD, Scorn would be able to lay waste to most AP champions.

Scorned in the midlane... Since Scorn is practically any AP mage's worst nightmare, why not play him mid? Magic Vigor will allow him to survive most trades and allows him to get close to his enemies. Phase Walk will only make this stonger and combine that with Ethereal Fist and they will be crying for their junglers to come and babysit you. And if they do, you just activate Phase Walk and disappear into the jungle. Do NOT get cocky however!! Keep in mind that you are a Melee range champion and thus have to get up close and personal with your enemies. You may resist some Magic damage, but lots of little bits of damage will eventually turn into a lot of damage if you don't watch yourself. Do mind that your abilities are made to fight AP users. Fighting a Zed or a Yasuo would make it very hard for you to roll all over the midlane without a care...

Lore:

Not even he knows the man he once was. He was merely a face in an endless stream of Noxian prisoners during the Rune Wars. Their lives worth less then diseased cattle, many of these prisoners ended up in the Fleshing Arena or in small prison cells. This prisoner was not spared with such a fate however. Once in a while, a Noxian mage would deal with the prison and acquired a subject for their horrible experiments in an effort to amass more power. One mage in particular had a dream of making himself into the ultimate magic warrior. Many months passed as he worked on his test subject. With no form of anesthesia, he branded and infused the man’s skin with runes made out of pure magic. The tireless efforts of the mage caused the prisoner unfathomable pain and erased all of his memories. Broken and hopeless, the prisoner would lie in his cage every night, only to be pulled from it again at daybreak. But as the pain grew, so did his feeling of power… After a year, the prisoner realized that the mage’s experiments had given him strange abilities. The days did not leave him as tired as they used to, so during the night he would hone these abilities. The more he endured, the more willpower he found in the pain and hate that he felt. On one fateful day, the prisoner escaped his prison..

It felt like stepping through lukewarm water...It had started out with the by now familiar tingling numbness of his flesh, but when he stepped through the wall he had the sensation of diving face first into a thin, vertical body of water. He looked at his arm as the flesh and bone slowly seemed to regrow out of nothing. He knew better of course, the flesh was always there, it just Phased in and out of the physical realm when he wanted it...He grimaced, hate boiling inside his chest as he saw the blue and white runes appear on his skin, still glowing from the use of his ability. The pain of all those months still endured in his skin, as if red hot metal rods were constantly poking him all over. He did not know if it would ever end... He set his sights on the door right in front of him that would lead him from the laboratory to the long halls of his tormentors mansion. With determined steps he marched over to it and pushed. It was locked and wouldn't budge. Again the tingling feeling as his hand became translucent and reached through the door, grabbing the lock. With seemingly no effort, he pulled the lock straight out of the door. Now a simple push was enough for it to swing wide open. He saw two guards running down the hall, probably alarmed by the sudden opening of the door. "But thats-" He couldn't finish his sentence, for a ghostly hand had grabbed his windpipe and was now crushing it. The guard was thrown aside with ease after which the prisoner set his sights on the second man. Within seconds he stood right next to the guard and reached straight through his chest. The man fell to his knees with a horrified stare in his eyes. He continued his search, ending the lives of many people along the way with little to no efffort, but none of them were the man he was looking for. But then he felt it. Hairs all over his body stood upright as if static energy was pulling at him from through a big dark wooden door. He marched on, not bothering with opening the door and suddenly stood eye in eye with the man he was looking for. His tormentor grinned, his eyes filled with excitement. "Yes!! It DID work!! I thought I was getting nowhere but look at you!!" The prisoner just stared at him. "And you got all the way here even with all those guard in the building!! Remarkable..." He started pacing through the room, seemingly deep in thought. "Good...Good...But now you've had your fun. Time to go back to your-" His sentence stopped short as he realised the magic he tried to use on the prisoner had no effect. He stopped and repeated the gesture of his hand with which he had always been able to force people to their knees. Again, no response. The prisoner's eyes were staring at the wealthy looking mage that had ruined his life...Caused him so much pain....And was now at his Mercy. The mage seemed to realise this aswel. Excitement turned into fear as the prisoner slowly stepped towards the mage. "How does it feel? To be powerless?" He heard his voice for what to him seemed to be the first time. It sounded raw from months of silence, but clear and steady. The mage conjured a fireball in his hand and flung it at him. The runes on his skin lit up as the fire hit him, but burned nothing. "How does it feel? To realise that your life might just end in a few seconds?" Fear turned into dread in the mage's eyes. His legs collapsed under the weight of this new emotion he had never experienced. "Yes, cower before me, puny spell caster, like many common men did before YOU once." He raised his hand as it turned into a ghastly silhouette of a claw. "Many are the affronts to humanity that magic has brought. Many are the atrocities committed by you and your kind." The hand plunged itself into the mage's chest. Slowly he raised the horrified bundle of a man from his knees and into the air. "I have known the pain, I have seen the power....and now I feel the hate. Your practices made me who I am. Now, they will bring you down." The man's life was in his hands. Slowly his fist closed itself around his tormentor's heart as he gasped out of horror and pain.
"...and I WON'T stop there..."

As the life left the man that caused him so much pain, the prisoner felt he had found his new purpose. He had no memories of who he once was, and thus nothing to lose. He named himself after the feeling he felt for the mage and everything magic: Scorn. He swore to rid the world of magic and all its practitioners…starting with the mages in Noxus…

Many are the affronts to humanity that magic has brought. Many are the atrocities committed by magi and their ilk. I have known the pain, I have seen the power…and now I feel the hate. Cower before me, puny spell caster, like many common men did before YOU once. Your practices made me who I am. Now, they will bring you down…and I won’t stop there…” – Scorn.

Personality:

With no memory of who he was before the war, Scorn only knows his prison and the dark alleys and street of Noxus. He has nobody to care for and no possessions to call his own. This makes him a force to be reckoned with. He has a strong feeling for his version of right and wrong and will enforce justice on whomever strays. He has a careless and sometimes aloof personality and a vengeful attitude to anybody that uses magic or has a magical origin. Due to the fact that he has been imprisoned for what seems to him al his life, he is not accustomed to luxury and even sees it as trivialities.

(More will be added gradually....im always very bad at this so if you have suggestions...)

Champion select:

"Set...me...FREE!!"

Death: (Scorn grabs his chest as his body starts to glow and fade in and out of focus. As he looks up, his body bursts into a million sparks of blue magic that slowly drift away)

-Grunts- "What...Sorcery...Is this?..." -Sighs- "The pain...It is fading..." -Gasps- "Are these....Memories?..."

Moving:

Power always corrupts…” “Magic Flows.” “I hunt all magic…” “Many are the affronts to humanity that magic has brought…” “I have known the pain, I have seen the power…” "I had a life once...Magic took that from me..."

Attacking:

Cower before me!!” “I WILL bring you down!!” “I will make an end to magic!!” "You don't know real pain!!"

Activating Ethereal Fist:

"Right behind you..." "Thought you could run away?" "How does it feel? To realise that your life might just end in a few seconds?"

Activating Magic Vigor:

"Your efforts are useless..." "Nothing can hurt me!!" "How does it feel? To be Powerless?" "Your magic won't work on me, Puny Spell-caster!!" (only when being hit by an ability while Magic Vigor is active.)

Activating Surging Strikes:

"Faster...FASTER!!" "I feel POWERFUL!!"

Activating Phase Walk:

"At least magic gave me this..." "As formless as magic itself..." "Nothing can stop me now!!" "I won't be caged any more!!"

Joking: (Scorn looks bewildered around him)

What is this? Who are you?? Who am I?!” "Nobody expects the Valoran Inquisition!!"

Taunting:

(allied Dr. Mundo)I forgot my name too….Maybe I should have repeated it more…(allied Vayne)I smell….all magics…(enemy Annie)This child has been tainted, even before she outgrew her stuffed animal…(enemy Swain)I have killed your kind before, Bird-man…Come here and meet your end!!(enemy Karma)Not even magic born out of balance shall know my mercy!!(enemy Syndra)Untamed power is a danger to all...(enemy Veigar) "You know nothing of pain Little-man..." (enemy Ryze)I will make sure you take your arcane knowledge to your grave…(enemy Irelia)Blades should not float like that…(enemy Ahri) "I can see through your charm Fox-lady..." (enemy Brand) "Your fires won't burn me, demon..." **(enemy Fiddlesticks) ** "I do not know what you are...But you are a product of magic...and thus my target..." **(enemy Soraka) ** "All magic comes with a price...What is yours, Goat-lady?" or "The stars won't protect you from me, Goat-lady..." (enemy Maokai) "Allow me to grant you the release you seek!!" (enemy Xerath) "It is because of mages like you that I lost everything...I will have revenge!!" (enemy Vel'Koz) "Try and examine ME, Fiend!!" or "Not even your gaze can penetrate MY skin!!" (enemy Lux) "I will dim your lights!!" (enemy Malzahar) "Prophesize your own demise, charlatan!!!!" (enemy Nami) "The tides, like all of nature's forces, should not be commanded by mortals!!"

Items:

(Any Mana or Mana regen item) "I WILL destroy this!!!...Later..." (Devourer enchantment) "Great...now I have a magic beast following me around..." "Let us tear them apart..." (Runic Echoes enchantment) "Great...More runes...I hope these don't burn..." (Manamune) "This blade is like me in a way..." "A blade infused with magic...Perfect..." (Athene's Unholy Grail) "A cup, perfect for catching mage tears..." "Why make such a luxurious cup if a simple bowl will suffice?" (Bloodthirster) "This blade thirsts for blood like I thirst for vengeance..." (Blade of the Ruined King) "A blade from the Shadow Isles?...May it help me end the un-death that plagues its home country..." (Phantom Dancer) "Blades should not dance on their own..." "What do I need this for? I'm already like a phantom..." (Boots of speed) "I'm not used to these luxuries..." "I have grown accustomed to walking bare foot...This is a welcome change..." (Ionian boots of lucidity) "These boots....They seem familiar..." "Something stirs inside of me...A memory perhaps?" (Berserkers Greaves) "Greaves that make me fight faster?...What sorcery is this?"

The champion concept I made would be a great counter to this champion. Check it out! You have my upvote! Zolt, The Anti Mana

So...my review. Here goes!

Passive:

Rito don't do mana burns for a reason. They're not very representative, posess tons of invisible power, while aren't very satisfactory. Yeah, they make the guy with the mana burn feel ok, but it makes the target being mana-burned feel absolutely terrible. The numbers you're giving for the mana-steal/burn can be representative of this. It's not very effective early game, which is when it's most effective, but becomes more effective when mana has become not much of an issue for most mages, leading me to question - why mana burn? I suggest that instead, you gain some damage based on mana that you're draining from yourself, so that you solidify your idea as purchasing mana.

Q: Its a pretty standard gapcloser, not really much for me to comment on here. It would, however, be very nice to know the range of the gapcloser just so we can determine the power there. I would also recommend changing the strength of the slow rather than the duration, just for general clarity, but that's just a minor nitpick of mine

W: Well, you're giving Galio a run for his money, aren't you? Jokes aside, I'm not really a fan of that passive. While it's power isn't that invisible, once you get a fair amount of mana, you're going to have a ton of magic resist amp passively, and if the enemy isn't AP, well ,it's just wasted power budget. Personally not too much a fan of champion-select countering since it's very boring. The active is perfectly fine though. It emphasises what stat to build on Scorn and has nice windows of opportunity as well. I'm also not sure why you'd want to turn it off early, and why that would lead to your Q having a lower cooldown.

E: Seems pretty good to me. Nice risk/reward balance to it. Just curious about 'without interruption'. Does it mean 7 consecutive strikes on the same target, or that he cannot be affected by any kind of CC during the duration?

R: Well...uh...

Speed boost is really strong. As in 'past rank 2, Summoner Ghost' strong. Combined with the ability to phase through walls (should be a cooldown on this) that's a ton of free mobility, and that with the ability to reduce magic damage just seems stupid good. Imo the cost should increase, not as harshly as Swain, but still increase so you have to be careful with how you use it. Also there should still be a cooldown even if you deactivate without triggering the shockwave so it's not just a 'get-out-of-jail-free' card.

Overall: Honestly, I'm really not too much of a fan. Scorn seems singularly tailored to counter AP champs, and while that is respectable, it means that he's more of a 'champion select' counter than anything else, which is just not fun for the opponent, or Scorn if they picked AD. It seems he's designed to counter a specific meta, and while not every champion should be strong all the time (glares at LeeSin) they shouldn't also be very niche and completely wreck face vs a certain comp, yet fall flat because the enemy picked differently/

I realise I might sound a bit harsh with my criticism, but it's not because I dislike the concept. It's more because I think that he can be tweaked better so that he's not so binary in terms of countering and being countered

Edit notes:

-Changed Magic Vigor passive from bonus MR to general damage resistance. -Took away Phase Walk's Magic Damage resistance. -Added ignoring crowd control to Phase Walk. -Edited Mana cost of Phase Walk. -Reduced Cooldown reduction of deactivating Magic Vigor early from "half" to "5 seconds" Took cooldown reduction away. -Switched around the Magic Vigor and Infused Skin passives. -Changed MAgic Vigor passive to a mana regen halt for enemy champions. He still gains mana from a percentage magic damage. -Infused Skin now resists Abilities for every 20% active mana and resists all additional effects of one ability when full mana. -Moved bonus magic damage upon auto attacks passive from Infused Skin to Surging Strikes.

Hey! I saw the link to this thread while I was reviewing DarkFoxes concept thought I should share the love :P Anyway here are my thoguhts on Scorn, The Infused! ^_^

Passive: For the most part it feels mostly like free stats, I don't feel it really contributes much to his kit. If you take this passive away he would be a tad weaker but he could still be played exactly the same.

W: Potentially incredibly strong if he scaled with mana, makes muramana a must buy and gives him insane mana scaling. Might be bit too much as he can potentially get up to 990+1000 hp with his natural mana and manamura.

R: Poor Olaf T_T but seriously it does a bit too much: It's Olaf ult,a ghost, a way to cross terrain, and a displacement nuke. And regarding Olaf's ult becasue of that ult Olaf can never be allowed to be strong only mediocore, if Olaf was strong he could ignore the whole team and just blitz down the carries with little to no remorse. Scorn could do the same like what do you do to him? He could build slightly tanky and ignore the support and punch the ADC/Carries down.

Overall: I'm just curious but what were you aiming with this concept? You said you wanted an anti magic character but removed that so instead we have this mana scaling attack speed bruiser?

I feel he's a tad...bland....When it comes down to it he's very generic. I'm sorry but he bears a resemblance to a concept I've seen a lot. You have some kind of tanky bruiser who has a a gapcloser, some form of innate tankiness, some kind of AA buff, and some kind of massive buff is in his ult.

Also the counterplay to his kit is the same with all bruiser, he jumps on you it it becomes a matter of numbers who wins. If he has more damage you die, if you have more damage he dies.

it's 2:06 AM right now so I'll complete my review some time tomorrow, I'm sorry this review wasn't as detailed as I wanted it to be but I hope it helps you in some way.

Anyway here were my thoughts on Scorn, The Infused. Do you mind doing me a favor? I'm also participating in the CCOS and would love it if you reviewed my concept. Thanks! ^_^

" Many people would say that this would make him too powerful against any AP midlaner and to them i say...yes...but so is Zed...or Yasuo...or Veigar...."

That doesn't mean it's a good idea to plow ahead anyways.

I do like the heavy focus on mana - it's something really easily overlooked, and does make him pretty unique in that regard. However...

Getting mana for taking magic damage is pretty powerful by itself, but okay, sure, can work with that. LEECHING mana from other people - that is, re-introducing the much-maligned and removed mana burn - is unacceptable. "But mages have tons of mana!" Yeah, they're not your targets - your actual targets are the poor bastards in top lane who don't build mana or mana regen and don't really have an answer to some jerk taking away all their ability to do fun things.

Like seriously, I can't emphasize this enough. Mana burn in any shape or form is NOT a good mechanic for the game. It got removed for a reason, and should stay removed.

The rest of the kit is, as pointed out by others, not super-impressive. The Q does its job as gap-closing CC. The W is...probably self-defeating, honestly; popping this in a situation where you could actually need it will result in you OOMing instantly. The E's passive effect when overcharged would let you sustain your overcharge indefinitely, while the active is straight-up OP from the get-go.

Let me actually go into why the E active is OP. Remember rework Gangplank's release barrels? I do - they ignored about 60% of your armor. The result was that Gangplank could shoot one with a crit and instantly win the fight because you just lost all your HP no matter who you were. Now then, consider that you're ignoring up to 70% of BOTH resistances, keep building up power with each hit, and can pop the E at any time for that resist penetration on your next hit, the actual damage output ends up in about the same place.

"But I wouldn't build that!" Thing is, your kit doesn't actually need the huge overcharged mana focus. You can build tanky AD and still be a dangerous threat because not having mana doesn't stop your Q from being good CC+gap closing, doesn't stop your W from being detrimental anyways, and definitely doesn't stop your E from ripping faces off.

The ult's just kinda there, being self-defeating much like the W. You don't WANT to shove your targets away. That's why you have your crappy Wood 5 Alistar. You want them in stabbing range of you, so you can rip off their faces, sell them, and use the money for more face-ripping tools.

I think you should take some time and think through the implications of your abilities and how they work in practice before your next go.

So far, this is one of my favorite concepts. I love the concept of overcharging mana to deal extra damage, but i feel like his W is a bit OP. His ult is also really similar to what I had in mind with my concept's Ult. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/WfywnWZG-champion-ideakrint

Alright sorry for the delay withe full review:/ Adjusting to college and kind of got hooked on a online card game so sorry about that. Anyway for the rest of the review!

Lore: Fairly simple but pretty cool backstory. But honestly I really don't like the mysterious background types of lore to me they've all ways felt lacking. I would love more about Scorn. Like what are his goals? Like more specifically becasue right now he's kind of like old Maoki all mages are evil aand must be handled. I would also love to know more about scorn's personality like is he a kind or cruel person? What does he want to do about his past? etc.

Anti Mage?: From what I;ve read you want to make an AD Assassin/bruiser type champon? But why does Scorn do this better than someone say Talon or Kassadin? You mention that Scorn is strongest when catching AP mages solo but isn't this the case for most bruisers and assassins? Also Scorn's burst takes awhile to ramp up, he needs to land a bunch of AAs to pull off his finisher E giving ample time to get peeled off. Also he kind of relies on his ult to run into range meaning he has to invest into defenses which limits his ability to assassinate. To me he kind of feels like an AS/Mana scaling bruiser.

R: Honestly I'm not a big fan of it, to me an ult should an incredible feeling and impact to it. Look at Iliao's ult, if you land a three-four man ult you're pretty much guaranteed a triple or look at Jhin's ult which has an amazing thematic feeling to it. I don't think your current ult makes me feel like a rune imbued war machine, it kind of feels like the summoner spell ghost to be honest:/

I normally ask questions at the end of my reviews to help out people with their concepts but you have most answered so I'll just leave you with this.

-Why should I play Scorn over any other champion?

What does Scorn do that no other champion does? If it's assassination why don't I pick Talon or Rengar who can both kill someone in 1 second? If it's a champion who runs in and AAs the squishies to death why not Master Yi? He has a bigger speed boost and can arguably burst harder than Scorn? What does Scorn bring that no other champion is capable of bringing?

Lore - The lore is nothing special, but it held my attention for the duration. I would have loved a lot more description of the world around him, and metaphors for his pain and the way he felt. I liked the general story, but wasn't completely connected with Scorn. You also don't need a personality tab, as this should be easily discovered through the Lore and kit.

Passive - Scorn doesn't make much sense to me. He looks like a melee AP bruiser who harnesses the power of Thorn magic, and has a large emphasis towards mana, so why is he an AD bruiser. The kit doesn't resonate with what he looks like, and what he wants to build, and would need to be changed. All that aside, I Like the idea of "Charged Mana", and it makes sense to give him better mana regen. Another problem is that he gains charged mana based of damage dealt, meaning that you also want him to be a tanky AD bruiser, when, like I said, everything else points towards a squishy AP bruiser. I can sort of see melee AD, and I'm sure other people would see melee AD when looking at the image for the first time, but that is just my personal opinion

Q - There's not much I need to say here, just a basic gap closer, however I like that this is what allows him to get out of ult form quicker, As he sacrifices the mobility for damage.

W - This seems like a really frustrating ability to play against and is really strong. At a fully stacked tear, He will have a lot of extra health. Yes, it does take away his mana, and make it so that he wont have the mana to cast abilities, but he would naturally have a large amount of mana regen and it won't make much of a difference.

E - I don't feel like there is anything wrong with this ability. It takes a while to scale up and seems like an overall balance spell.

R - This ability is SUUUPEEERRR strong. He can get out of all hard CC every 15 seconds, have a massive 45% movement speed buff, and can phase through walls every 3 seconds. I don't mind ults that change your form, but for someone who is supposed to have a massive influx of power, I'd prefer a more impactful ultimate

Overall, I'm not the biggest fan of this concept, and I think it needs quite a few changes. I can see that you have put a lot of time and effort into this, and I hope to see more
