Hello folks, I hope I have caught your attention. What you read was correct, this is indeed an advertisement for a RP Server on Discord for the Academy AU.

It's been my pet Project over the last few months, and it's finally done! Or, at the very least, it's gotten to the point where I can open up the doors to this wonderful Academy, and start getting major player feedback. Now let me get down into details.

#You said this was an RP Server?

Yep! For those of you unaware, RP means Roleplay, as you pretend to act like a character you aren't. In this case, you're Roleplaying your favorite champion, but if she/he/it were a student in a Rwby-esqe type Academy. Thankfully, this school is pretty lax, as there isn't any inherent scheduling. You can do whatever you want, as long as you stay on Campus grounds!

#Wait, so how does this work?

Well, you first choose your champion! After that, you simply join the Discord, read the rules and exposition, and I'll get started right away on making your choice Champion's kit suitable for the Tabletop portion of all this, which I'll get into later. Once you join and choose your Champion however, you can instantly get started RP'ing in any of the various Chat-rooms, just be sure to stay considerate.

Also keep in mind, your Champion does not have to fit with canon lore. They need to be the same person yes, but things can vary, from age, build, interests, and personality etc. Humans are still humans, Yordles are still Yordles, and Terrifying Void Creatures are still Void Creatures, but friendly! For the most part, Students who attend the Academy are young, so Yorick for example, could be a young adult, or a hunchbacked old man if you so desire. Your choice.

#Wait, you said Tabletop, does that mean...?

Yes! We got to my favorite part!! Alongside the RP, I've made my own Tabletop game format for it as well! For those of you unfamiliar, Tabletop games are turn-based games that have a party of players running through situations that are meant to test their luck, adaptability, and creativeness, alongside some skill. Story-wise, these are missions for your Academy student, as it is their job to stop potential evil-doers, as you team up with other Academy students.

Yes, that means I'm going to have to adapt each and every possible League champion into a Tabletop format combat style. I've had the help of a friend whose been Table-topping for most of his life with creating the format for how everything works, from Combat, to a Leveling system, and Loot system as well. Explicit details are in the Discord, so I won't go rambling off, but if you're that curious for how it works, I'll be glad to talk about it!

#Rules and needed mentions (Boring)

Couple of rules I need to mention before everything starts. Rules for gameplay and RP are in the Discord, but these things need special mention

  • This is First-Come First-serve: Champions are open to be picked as long as they aren't chosen by someone else. So who you want may not be open to play, but with that said...

  • You will need to be an active user: Since there's 139-ish champions by now, I'm sure most people can find a different champ they like. However, I don't want people taking up slots if they're not active, as someone else might want that Champion. If you haven't been active for over 2 weeks, someone else has the potential to take your Champion. That said, if you have issues or a reason for an absence, than your Champion will be fine.

  • Don't be a jerk: I'm not a big fan of Mods, and for the time being, I'm the only person with Authority on the Server. For the most part, you are expected to be respectful of other players. If you're being inappropriate or rude, I'll be forced to look at the Situation and handle it accordingly. You will always be given room for self-improvement, but if you can't control yourself, you will be asked to leave.

  • Original Character DO NOT STEAL: I am not opposed to the idea of OC's in this, but I am wary to have them, as they're not as recognizable for other players, as League Champions are. I heavily prefer if you chose a Champion, but if champs started getting limited (Urgot be the only choice), OC's will start being allowed, though heavily scrutinized. Might also take longer to make a kit for the TableTop portion.

That should be all! If you have any questions that I didn't cover, feel free to ask and I'll answer. Below is a List of taken Champions, and ones not taken, for you to browse. I always feel like I've missed something, but I'm sure it'll pass. If you feel like joining and being a part of this, I'll hit you with a Link, though be expecting it.
