Elissa, the Blade Queen

Hello, so I have learned from previous comments that people mainly just want unique champions, instead of the same-ish theme just woven differently. So, I present to you, Elissa, the Blade Queen. Let's get down to it.

Basics:

Homeland: Unknown, believed to live between Zaun and Piltover

Stance: Neutral / Good (Eh to others, believes her actions are good)

Class: Assassin

Secondary: Mage

Lane: MID or TOP

Allies: Janna

Enemies: N/A

Type of auto attack: Melee (she carries a shining blade made of magical dust)


Powers

Passive: Sharpened Spells

Elissa's blades cut deep into her enemies. Her attacks apply a stack of Sharpened Spells. Sharpened Spells is a glyph that appears beneath a target that gets stacked 6 times. Once reaching the 6th stack, it explodes and creates a Spike Trap beneath the target that deals 15% of her current AP and AD.

Stacks: These fade after 4 seconds of not being attacked by Elissa. Stacks also disappear if the enemy is killed by any means.

Her ultimate automatically applies her passive to those that are hit.


Q: Piercing Retrieval

Range: 1175

Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana

Elissa sends out a blade that strikes a target and tethers them to Elissa. The tether lasts 3 seconds and only breaks if the targets moves out of range. She may re-activate the ability to instantly appear beside her target. The damage they are dealt is worth 50/80/110/140/170 (0% of her AD and 45% of her AP) magical damage.


W: Swirling Death

Range: 975 (if being placed). The Blades have a 750 connection range to Elissa. If connected to Elissa, they are equal to her basic attack range which is 550.

Elissa marks an area or herself to receive a round of Swirling Death. Swirling Death creates 3/4/5 blades that swirling above herself or the targeted location. These blades attack with Elissa's basic attacks or they attack the unit that is harming Elissa (targets champions above all). If Elissa moves out of range of her Swirling Death ability, they become vulnverable. Meaning that they can get destroyed by enemy basic attacks. Each blade has 1 health point so they have 3/4/5 health. She gains a blade every 2 levels of the ability (with level 5 being the exception). However, if Elissa moves back within range, the blades become untargetable. Each blade deals 20/30/40/50/60 (+0% AD and 15% AP) magic damage. There is a 0.5 delay between a blade taking flight. This ability only adds one stack of Sharpened Blades.


E: Enchanted Strike

Range: 520 (to those directly in front of her)

Cost: 70/90/110/130/150 mana

Her E is based of her previous spell cast within 5 seconds.

If she cast her Q before E the Blade is Ice Enchanted. Her ability gains the power to instantly slow all people and creatures hit by it for 20% of their MS.

If she cast her W before E the Blade is Flame Enchanted. The searing heat of her blade disarms her targets. (Disarm is a type of cc where enemies cannot declare attacks, similar to silence, only difference is that disarmed people can activate items.)

If she cast nothing before her E the Blade is Empowered, meaning it deals 15% more damage and applies a 0.75 second knockup.

Each blade has a base damage of 80/110/140/170/200 (+0% AD and 50% AP) magical damage.


R: Blade Storm

Range: 3350

Cost: 120/110/100 mana

Elissa surrounds herself in blades, after a 0.5 delay these burst from her in a wide circle that travel in different directions. She creates 8 blades, one for each cardinal direction and inter-cardinal direction. Each blade deals 200/250/300 (+0 AD and 75% AP) magical damage.

Cooldown: 140 seconds

Lore:

Blades are quick and deadly, able to snap the life from someone in the blink of an eye. Then, there is magic. A wild and beautiful art that only the sharpest of minds can wield without... effects. But, the two combined? The bridge between power and efficiency? Why, that would be unstoppable. Just as the floating soul of Elissa is unstoppable.

There are rumors of a woman, excelling in both beauty and elegance alike, that holds an unnatural power beneath her kind exterior. Those who talk of this woman say she roams between the trans-century city of Piltover and maddening city of Zaun. Those that cross her don't leave to tell the tale. The only trace of that authorities have to work on are the mutilated remains of her foes left to rot in the streets or outside the city's walls. Yet, not all of her stories are as gory as these, there are those that praise the woman's abilities. Claiming that she cleaned up both the city of Zaun and Piltover with her powerful arcane control.

No matter the tale, all people can agree that the blades this woman can conjure out of thin air are as fascinating as it is horrifying. Only time and time alone can decide this woman's true nature, but for now, she is a fun and wild tale that is become something of a tradition for both the people of Zaun and Piltover alike to share amongst themselves.

Ctrl + 1: "My blades serve me just as a servant serves its master."

Ctrl + 2: "Ha, your silly toys are no match for my mystic blades." and "Physical or magical... ah, nvm, magic duh."

(Her Ctrl + 2 has a fun visual. She summons two golden blades to fence each other, it ends with one blade getting broken in half)

Ctrl + 3: Elissa shuffles to the left, then the right, spins, and fires her blades into the air with golden dust flying behind them (these blades dance with her, she will continuously dance unless commanded to stop).

Ctrl + 4: Elissa points out her blade and laughs.

From the get-go and this is just aesthetics. 3 out of 4 of your main abilities contain the word Blade. We already know she uses swords be it real or magical.=, so consider renaming these abilities maybe staying with 1 having the word blade in it.

I like her passive however, if it stacks up to 6 times doesn't that mean it will only reach 30%? Not 50. I would say her passive damage is too high, but it's not true damage or percent health damage so it's good.

Her Q you need to buff the AD ratio and keep the AP one the same. If you're going for a hybrid champion, they need to feel like building both kinds of items will be beneficial and with small AD modifiers you're doing the opposite.

W seems solid, but the AP modifier is through the roof. It needs to be much lower perhaps even around 10% per sword. 55% roughly at any point for someone who's building AP will equate to around 300 magic damage, and with 5 swords that's 1500 damage, literally one hit on a squishy and they are gone no matter how high their resistances are. This however is a great wave clear tool, you just need to nerf that modifier. Maybe even consider stripping this ability of the AD modifier altogether.

I like her E the concept is nice, maybe play with it some more making it slightly more unique because it feels like a sister ability to TF's Pick a Card in a sense. Or maybe make the effect more unique. Don't forget we have grounded now and things along those lines.

Her R. I'm not sure what you mean with the first portion, do they fire globally and hit each enemy? If so it sound like a nice idea but perhaps maybe up the damage slightly and make it to wear she will fire one sword into the air at a location globally and then teleport to it dealing damage. The modifier on this is nice. You need to word the second option more concisely so it's understandable some of the language used such as come to the surface and are fired with, seem a bit confusing.

All in all you have a great direction you're going in! I'll +1.

a gril with a blade isnt unique at all lol. wanna go for unique, just off the top of my head, knives for ranged attacks, boom unique, ez. or they have any sort of blade that shoots beams for ranged attacks. dont even get me started on abilities. no idea how a 2017 champion has 2 autoattack resets on 1 button

i like the design and the path you took for her. the W sounds like it would be so much fun to play with and her E has quite some depth without being too crazy. Her lore is quite juicy too, even i would have loved to know why she would join the league :P there's a few hickups i have though.


first of all (although somewhat personal) Hybrid champions can cause quite some problems balance wise. if she was somehow an AD variant of a mage (ad spellcaster like cannon form jayce) or an ap champion i would prefer it to the hybrid.


secondly, her overall kit makes it look more like a top laner then a mid laner. i mean its not really a problem but its just scratches me the wrong way :P last but not least


last but not least, the question of her ult. i think the 3rd option sounds an awful lot like Pantheon's, even though its the one i prefer. the things i would change on it would be that the damage would be split in 2 parts (instead of 400 base+ the ap and ad, i think it should be something more along the lines of 150+ half the % for the sword landing and then the teleport would be about 300 base + the original %)*

*the numbers would be for the lv 3 ult

This is a pretty awesome concept. Name is kind of similar to Elise, but I like the way she does things. Is she ranged? If she's melee, she probably needs a gap closer.

Passive: Problem about "grievous wounds" is that some champions are much more affected by this than others (Reason why MF W got changed) making it much harder to balance the effect (also grievous wounds is a fixed stat). Is it six stacks or 50% before shattering ? Having the passive remain on one target indefinetly, as long as you switch to it in two seconds, makes it really easy to permanently have stacks on your opponent in laning phase.

Q: Bad tounges may say Ivern Q here. Otherwise good poke and mobility tool. Since you said poke tool, how high of a CD would it have roughly?

W: How high is her basic atack range? Do these blades attack multiple times or just once? From the implied visuals I would say once, but why would they have health and range interactions then?

E: Maybe add "last spell cast in X seconds" otherwise empowered E wouldn't work. What kind of attack is that exactly? Targeted, skillshot, AOE ? (hard to judge 3! seconds stun with that) The options are a bit weak (low CC, high CC or more damage), so you could maybe replace one CC option with utility of some kind.

R: 1: So each sword targets one champion, but if another champions intercepts them they have reduced damage? How can I easily tell which sword is which? The counterplay also only really works lategame or in bot lane.

2: Is a bit weak, considering the channel time and only deals damage, which is a bit to weak.

Overall: Need a bit more clarity on the abilities to judge her. Currently the dash on Q is better used to escape as offensively you have good range and safety. Gameplaywise she differentiates herself well from Katarina and feels much more refined than your previous works.

Small nitpick: Blade Queen Lissandra is an existing skin
