So... what about Teemo? {Idea Gathering Thread} - I really need your help with that one

I really tried to find some concept that would work on the little spawn of hell yordle, but somehow I can't come up with anything.

How Teemo is in a bad spot? Well, just remember that in an recent AMA (still somewhere on surrender @ 20) a Riot designer answered the question to "if he could delete a champion from the game becasue the design is shit, what champ would it be?" with "Teemo".

But... what IS teemo actually? What is his theme? How could one translate that into gameplay? The only thing that comes from his lore is "nice guy but is actually a total poision using psycho in disguise working for the military" - meh, doesn't sound that much interesting if you ask me...

I get the feeling that he would need an even bigger rework than Sion - that dude had at least some kind of identity! Teemo on the other hand... Now, thought experiment: if we just scrap everything and we need to somehow give his theme (whatever it is, gotta clear that too) gameplay, what would it be?

I'm curious to hear your opinions ^^

His theme (afaik) is that he is supposed to be an ambush champion, he hides and strikes at the most opportune times. Unfortunately he doesnt really have any of that besides his passive, That coupled with his whole theme being entirely about not allowing the opponent to react goes completely against the required counterplay for champions now. He would (imo) require a Sion level rework, as he doesn't fit his own theme and if his theme is instead poison then his Bio needs to be redone and he needs to be based on dots not nukes AND dots.

Right now his shrooms are a bigger pain then before, others say with the red trinket it doesn't matter but in order for the red trinket to be worth the old oracles the player would have to scan starting at level 9 every time it was up for 40mins.

All in all his theme is either DoTs (poison) or Ambusher (his bio) but he doesn't really fit with either that well.
