More Skins For All The Champions Released in The Past 1-2 Years?

Yeah, this isn't exactly the most original post, but hey it's on a lot of people's minds, right?

Anyways, we all see these champs that got released that have only like, what, 1 extra skin? Maybe, since it's almost Season 7 (praying for more balance changes...) we should get some skins for all those champs who didn't get them?

these are beautiful concepts but i think its waaaay too early for these guys to be getting new skins. i could understand illaoi but the rest not so much. also, skins take a good while to develop and then create in game so while riot could be brainstorming new skin ideas days after a new champ is released, it will be a while before we can see a hint of it. regardless of all that, don't stop creating these sort of concepts. they're beyond amazing.

Kindred, bard, ekko and kench already have them. It is not because of how recent they are - it is somewhat irrelevant.

Kindred and Tahm are a little over a year old. Tahm is the only one with 2 other skins. Ekko and Bard are more than two years old. OP's champs aren't even a year old except for Illaoi. your counter argument is pretty irrelevant.

It is a matter of due process - I'm sure Jhin and Illaoi are in line for the next wave of skin implementation - due to when they were released. However, when you look at the time it takes to make a skin, it typically takes a solid 5-7 months, and then it is a matter of squeezing the content into the jam-packed PBE schedule. It is not that there is a negligence for newer champs - they have the most recent champions on a backlog (hence why Rek'Sai, Bard, Ekko, Tahm Kench, and Kindred all have skins, since they all came out in order, and I'm sure the skins were created in a similar time frame). Expect a skin for Jhin rather soon - mostly due to production constraints rather than favoritism.

Excuse me. Kindred came out a month before Illaoi. "Too old." Yup, we're talking ancient times here, folks.

Needless to say, they are probably making skins for more recent champions as of now. The "brainstorming" and innitial idea phase is already done - I can asure you that. While it may be too early to expect them, it is not too realy for the development process to already have momentum.

When OP wonders where Illaoi skins are, and you manage to say, as you struggle to pronounce coherant speech through the thick foam of your own drool, that it is "waaaay too early for these guys to be getting skins," it isn't. It will be here exactly whem it is supposed to be. While some recent champions (*cough-cough Jhin) may be more popular than some of the super recent releases, it would not be all that surprising if champs made later than him get skins before him - just because of how the dev teams may have extended deadlines, or beat them by vast margins. Either way, the nature of this is somewhat fickle.

I don't expect the typical "self-proclaimed intellectual" to get that it may not be "too early" for anything. It gets here when it gets here. With your vast comprehension of game dev pipelining (having never been a part of a studio production), you claimed that it will definitely be a while before these new champions see content. Past schedules would prove this to be hilariously false. Some recent champions have even gotten one or more skins as early as 15 months post-release. You can toot your own horn and blow dixie out your ass all day, but in the end, it is not my argument that is incoherant.

just as Aemette said, it's a bit too early considering the sheer amount of work and time it takes to make a skin, but again, I love all of these! (Fissured Light Taliyah might have visibility issues though)

they, like Jhin, were released all in the same season, they more than likely, if not already, have started working on new skins for this season.

We probably won't see new skins for Jhin and Illaoi until later in season 7, Taliyah and Aurelion Sol might get theirs late season 7, as well as Ivern.

Usually Rito tries to get every champion a skin every season, although they tend to focus on more popular ones in the bigger skin releases, so Jhin will probably be the first of the season 6 champs to get his season 7 skin

At this point, it may not be safe to assume that. It all depends on how the staff was divided to tackle the reception of certain champs. IE: more people were involved in the release of Jhin than, say, Ivern.

It's a bit up-in-the-air at the moment.

*Between us, I'm almost certain that Illaoi and Jhin will beat Taliyah and AS to a skin, just due to general success.

Or how bout we give champs who have been around forever without a 1350 skin a actual decent skin, like Twitch or Evelynn. Literally every champ they've released has one.
