So in a post on Memes and Games we were talking about just having some sort of different support. > OurLestrade - I just want more cool supports. Years and years of scantily clad babes and little kids for supports in every single game ever has left me bitter, and until I get my veteran Noxian sergeant spouting Warhammer quotes about the superiority of the human race to all other beings I won't be satisfied. Not even Braum was enough to fill in that void.

So, of course other people were interested.

Yes, we need this concept of a Noxian veteran general as a support. And they be spewing quotes everywhere. As said about the "spouting Warhammer quotes..." part. So, don't be a heretic.

Ok, I really like this concept, and might as well contribute a quick idea, tell me if anything here works:

Passive: Field Commander Every time Luthor casts a spell, allied champions within 800 units have their movement speed increased by 1/3/5% for 3 seconds.

Q: Secure the Point Luthor tosses a flare inside a 400 unit wide area for his troops to capture. Allied Champions affected by Field Commander in result of this spell have their movement increased by 3/6/10% when moving towards that area. Enemy Champions caught by the flare are dealt 35/70/115/140/175 + 0.4 AP + 0.2 Max HP damage and are silenced for 1 second.

W: Target Practice For his next 3 auto attacks Luthor has his range increased to 650 and snares them for 1 second, as well as increasing allied damage by 2/4/6/8/10% + 0.05 Luthor Max HP. Champions can only be snared once every 4 seconds by Target Practice.

E: Fire At Will For the Next 5 seconds Luthor gives a speech to Allied Champions, causing them to deal an additional 10/20/30/40/50 + (0.2 AP) damage over 3 seconds (halved for AOE and DoT)

R: Last Stand Luthor puts a Flag on his location for 6 seconds, giving him and his allies vision in 900 units regardless of terrain. Within 900 range of the banner allied champions have their Field Commander bonus doubled and and recieve 15% tenacity and slow reduction.

While i didn't know how to make tossing insults a skill, i know you guys can work it out easily.

GET IN THERE AND FIGHT MAGGOT! he would almost have to be a buff support. He could be one that gives an ally stealth and have a world ult that is an air evac. I also been spit balling a noxus drill sergeant support. XD

What if he had a cleansing displacement ability? I once thought of an ability I called "Grit your teeth" where the champion would knock an allied champion in a target direction and remove status effects.

If this is going to be a thing can we have an AD support? I mean we have literally NO AD scaling supports and I feel this niche needs to be explored.

Passive: Soldier on - whenever [insert champion name] or a nearby allied champion is damaged, they gain increased mana and health regeneration for 3 seconds (5 second cooldown)

Q: Lead the charge - [insert champion name] dashes forward, leaving a movement speed granting path behind him and damaging enemies he passes through (AD ratio)

W: Will of Iron - [insert champion name] hunkers down, slowing himself but granting a shield (refreshes every few seconds) to nearby allied champions and gaining 25% tenacity (the shield scales with the missing hp of recipients)

E: Incite Bloodlust - [insert champion name] empowers his next basic attack, dealing extra damage, slowing the target and granting allies increased lifesteal against the target (AD ratio)

R: Double time - [insert champion name] marks a location on the map with a flare, stunning enemies in a very small radius are stunned for 1.5 seconds if hit by the initial impact. enemies are alerted to the fact when the flare is fired by a global audio cue. Allies in a large radius around the flare gain movement speed when moving towards the flare. If you or an ally click on the flare, the movement speed bonus is traded for an attack speed bonus. The flare burns for 30 seconds but this is halved when an ally enters the radius. If no allies enter the radius before the flare burns up, half the cooldown is refunded.

Every fiber of my being wants to add this person to my support pool. Why play Sona and dictate a fight with music when I could play the Sergeant and dictate the fight through sheer fear and forced respect. 10/10 Rito pls.

I do this all the time. I lobbied to rename the Support roll Strategist and of course every glory-hogging ADC was like "no!" but we are. Support is a game of geometry. Zone, ward, skillshot CC. I'm playing angels more than a racquetball court. So naturally I'm also reviewing your build order, CS, and call for those Shen/GP/Karthus ults when necessary.

I'm the support. And you're in my Rift. Now start following up on my poke/engage and lay off the Siege Minions.

this.....this is too good, maybe his abilties could each give a different buff (similar to sona?) and with each buff, he would shout an insult accordingly.

Example: Speed buff- GET OF YOUR ASSES MAGGOTS! i'VE SEEN THE RIFT SCUTTLER MOVE FASTER THAN THAT! also i dont know why but his weapon should be a musket with a bayonet, and similar to thresh, he can have different animations for attacking depending on his distance. Also he has to cast the buffs with a trumpet, he just has to.

So glad that this idea's got steam. It's something I've wanted for years and years :P

I've even got a decent lore for this sort of character that would give some exposition on how Noxus works, and make the Noxus-Ionian war a little bit less 2-D (With the bonus of having a character that says "Ionians... I hate those guys"). Without going into explicit detail, the sarge would be the guy who made the final call to deploy Singed's weapons in Ionia and sees it as a necessary cruelty to serve his nation. One of those "What would you have done in his shoes?" scenarios :O

Me and a friend have been discussing this for a while back (hes a fic writer, I'm a nobody) and I feel his name for this champion concept fits quite well. "Luther, the forgotten hero". Like hes mentioned already in this post, we've focused a lot on the lore side of things for his idea of a old Noxian war hero, but I was wondering what type of interpretations everyone else has for a drill sergeant support type of champion? (Lore and design wise)
