Champion kit #6, a Vanguard

Hello you people, have a good 2020. I'm FúrinKazan and, although a level 10 account, I'm actually close to 400 in the BR server. I recently tried to reach out to Riot about my projects for League of Legends, but unfortunately they only deal with graduated people.

Anyway, the projects I made for the game have no use anymore so I decided to publish them all. They are champion kits, counting up to **120 **with unique abilities, defined classes, gameplay and numbers for those who like. The idea is to publish one champion per day until April. I also have some champion updades and they might show up sometimes.

I see a lot of good and creative kit concepts and reworks everywhere on the internet. However, if its gameplay is not coherent, it's not a champion. If numbers are not right, it won't work. Riot abandons a lot of cool fantasies because they end up failing at executon, so I bring you the abilities instead, for people to imagine a theme as they want. Here we go:

  • Tamenobu Tsugaru (names are merely for inspiration and representation)

  • Core Vanguard traits: high crowd control, high durability, powerful initiator, poor combat


Passive: Tamenobu carries with him the Sword. While the Sword is in his hands, Tamenobu's basic attacks grant him a shield. The shield stacks additively with subsequent basic attacks and decays over a few seconds.

The Sword also interacts with Tamenobu's abilities.

-Shield value: 6/8/10% of Tamenobu's Maximum Health at levels 1/8/15


1st Skill: Tamenobu throws the Sword towards the targeted position (it always takes 1 second to land). Upon landing, it fixes itself on the ground and causes the same effect of the 2nd Skill's normal use, dealing damage and slowing enemies around it. **The Sword **remains in place indefinitely until Tamenobu takes it back through this ability or through the 2nd Skill.

1 second after the Sword has landed, this ability can be used at any time to take it back after a 0.5-second channel.

-CD: 7/6/5/4/3 seconds (begins when the Sword is thrown)


2nd Skill: Tamenobu pierces** the Sword **against the ground, dealing damage and **slowing **enemies around himself by 35% for a few seconds (decays over duration). Tamenobu remains in position until he moves or uses the 3rd Skill (also happens after the effect bellow).

If the Sword has already been thrown, activating this ability within certain range of the Sword's position will cause Tamenobu to leap towards** it** and, upon reaching it, to force it even more against the ground, dealing increased damage and slow (70%) on a greater area around himself.

Leaping towards** the Sword** resets the Cooldown of the 1st Skill. This ability cannot be used if the Sword is not in Tamenobu's hands or if he's out of a certain distance after it has been thrown.

Against minions, has a base damage applied after the percentage and, against champions, has a minimum damage.

-Damage: 8/11/14/17/20 (+ 3% AP)% of enemies' current Health as Magic Damage -Minimum damage/base damage: 40/75/110/145/180 -Increased damage: 12/15/18/21/24 (+ 6% AP)% of enemies' current Health as Magic Damage -Increased minimum damage/base damage: 60/105/150/195/240 -Slow duration: 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 -CD: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds


3rd Skill: Tamenobu performs a quick attack with the Sword, dealing damage and knocking up his target for 0.75 second.

If the Sword is pierced on the ground and in Tamenobu's hands at the same time, this ability is strengthened. Deals increased damage, knocks up all enemies around Tamenobu and the** knock up** duration is increased to 1.25 seconds.

The normal use has a Cooldown, but the strengthened one can be used whenever the conditions said above are met.

-Damage: 60/70/80/90/100 (+ 10 x level)(+ 40% AD) as True Damage -Increased damage: 60/120/180/240/300 (+ 60% AD) as Physical Damage -CD: 20/18/16/14/12 seconds


Ultimate: Tamenobu centers all his energy at** the Sword**, be it in Tamenobu's hands or at a certain distance from him, causing it to pulsate waves of energy around itself. Each wave progresses expansively, deals damage and brielf interrupts enemies hit (knocks up for 0.25 second).

Requires a channel for all its duration and lasts for a maximum of 3 seconds. Tamenobu's channeling serves as a basis for the empowered 3rd Skill, but using it cancels this ability.

-Damage: 100 (+ 50% AP) as Magic Damage -Interval between waves: 1/0.75/0.5 segundo -CD: 120 seconds
