LORE A dimension that is unknown to all but those who have experienced it first hand, the Void is filled with monstrous beings that seek to eat and destroy all life across the many dimensions. On Runeterra, there resides a city known as Icathia that, long ago, housed a cult that made a foul mistake of unleashing the Void upon the world. Now, the Void slowly seeps into the world, unleashing the most foul creatures every day. The Prophet of the Void, Malzahar, now resides in this city to greet and feed all monstrosities that come through the portals created by the Void. One day, however, something truly monstrous came through. Nal'Toz, the Void Kraken, ravaged the city as he entered this dimension before suddenly disappearing as if he was never there. He did not listen to Malzahar nor did he plan to take orders from such a weak being. His might was something that the entire planet, no, the entire universe could not control. However, he needed time. He had not adjusted to this world and needed time to form a strategy and learn just what he was up against. So, he resides in the deepest trench at the bottom of the ocean, killing all who would dare enter. There he sleeps, growing. He waits for the day that he can awaken and unleash his wrath upon Runeterra. Over the years, his influence has grown. During the Harrowing, the Shadow Isles mist has actively avoided the section of the ocean that is within his domain. The islands around Bilgewater have begun to split apart, creating smaller islands and much life being killed. The shores of Ionia have begun to flood as random tsunamis have begun to happen. Even the shores of the Shadow Isles have become dangerous as even undead are claimed by the sea. Malzahar realizes now just how powerful Nal'Toz is and is buying time for the creature before it could fully unleash it's power.

Dark Tides They had been out on the ocean for weeks and still, no catch was to be made. Their luck was running slim and the Bearded Lady was not smiling upon them it seemed. "Dad, may we head back to the docks," the son asked his father as he steered the ship. He sighed, knowing well what would await him at the docks if he did not return with at least a half decent catch. Gangplank, the unofficial ruler at the time, did not like slackers. "We'll see son. Perhaps the Bearded Lady shall bless us today with good fish. Perhaps a nice serpent." The small lad was not fortunate to be on this trip, but he had no choice. Their family and crew had been banished after stealing gold from the Saltwater Scourge, and could not return until they proved their worth by pulling in a mighty catch. He let the anchor drop so that the crew could rest. "We need our full strength for any potential catch lads. Rest well!" He withdrew to his cabin below decks. Meanwhile, the anchor that he had so carelessly dropped continued to sink. Stress had gotten the best of the sailor as his anchor fell down into a dark trench below them. The ship began to tip to the right as the anchor pulled on the ship, causing the captain to fall on his back and any unfortunate crew members on that side of the ship to fall of the edge. They plummeted down to the water before beginning their return to the ship. "Cut the anchor!" These words might have been a good call if what nothing had resided in that trench. Clank! The chain attached to the anchor was broken by a large hammer, wielded by the first mate. None of the crew was happy with their fate, but fate was fate. It was impossible to cheat it, at least that is what they believed. The anchor sunk down into the trench, slowly descending into the abyss. A storm began to unfold over the ship as intense rain fell upon them. The crew began to deal with the storm when an ungodly sound shook the ocean with their ship at the epicenter. "Dad, what was that?" The boy was shaken with fear and any man who knew his fair share would be. The Cry of the Beast. Little did the captain know that they had just plummeted their anchor onto the body of said beast. Did it kill it? Oh no, not even slightly. It only angered it. "Abandon ship!" All who heard the cry sang these words. They were doomed already. The captain, knowing no better, came to the deck with his son to escape on the life boats. The crew had already taken all but one. There, three crew members and the first mate were, staring angrily at their captain. "You brought us right above it! We all know that sound! All who hunt the serpents of the seas are warned of it's cry! The Cry of the Beast!" Lightning struck the mast of the ship, causing it to catch fire. "I'm sorry... but I we need to run!" The captain revealed a large hand-cannon from under his coat. "Me and my son are getting on that boat with ya!" "There isn't any room left captain. Captain goes down with the ship!" With a swift strike, the first mate swung the hammer used to break the anchor free, sending the captain to the other side of the ship with a broken arm. As he flew through the air, he fired at the first mate, killing him on impact. The son was sent upwards to the mast before falling back down onto the deck, lying unconscious. The last life boat fell down from the sight of the captain, plummeting to the ocean. The fire from the mast began to spread, the rain not doing much to put it out. The captain looked over at his boy, who likely was as broken as he was. He heard the sound again. This time, closer. He slowly began to crawl over to his son. The sound rang through his ears again, this time followed by distant screams that came to a sudden stop. "Serves em' right." He muttered these words as he felt the face of his son. Cold. He pressed his head to the lad's chest. Still alive however. He began to cry as he heard the sound again. The beast came into view as it arose from the ocean beside the ship. He looked as it rose up. It rose and rose, the top of it's body piercing the low hanging rain clouds overhead. It eventually stopped and looked upon the burning ship before it. "Look lad. Look. We found it." The captain began to laugh. "We can head home now. We finally have it. We have our catch." A tentacle pierced through the bottom of ship, instantly splitting it in two and flinging the son and father into the cold, dark tides that had lead them to this fate.

Passive- Submerged Innate: After not dealing or taking damage to or from enemy champions, structures, or monsters for 10 seconds, Nal'Toz submerges below the ocean, becoming Submerged. While Submerged, he cannot be targeted and is invisible, but can be seen by a large shadow being cast on the water above him. He also has 35/50/75 increased movement speed while Submerged. Upon attacking, casting a spell, or being damaged by a non-targeted spell, he will rise from the ocean and lose the Submerged buff. Non-targeted spells that damage him to make him become emerged deal 30/40/50% reduced damage to him. Levels: 1/8/15

Ability 1- Dark Tentacle Eruption Active: After a 1.5 second delay, one of Nal'Toz's tentacles erupt at the targeted area, dealing 15/20/25/30/35 (+15/20/25/30/35% AD) physical damage to enemy units hit and knocking them away from the tentacle over 0.5 seconds. The tentacle then remains there for the next 3.5/4/4.5/5/5.5 seconds. This spell can hold up to 4/5/6/7/8 charges, having a minimum cool down in between each cast. Cost: 20/23/26/29/32 mana Recharge Time: 14/12.5/11/9.5/8 seconds Static Cool Down Between Casts: 5/4.25/3.5/2.75/2 seconds Range: 800 AoE Radius: 200

Ability 2- Drag Down Active: The nearest tentacle, that was created from Dark Tentacle Eruption, to the targeted point lashes out in the direction of the targeted point after a 1 second delay, stopping at the first enemy unit hit. The first enemy unit hit takes 10/20/30/40/50 (+20/25/30/35/40% AD) physical damage and is dragged over the next 1 to 2 seconds to the tentacle, the duration depending on how far away they were from the tentacle. If an enemy is hit, the duration of the tentacle is reset and extended by 1/1.5/2/2.5/3 seconds. Enemy minions and monsters take an additional 75/125/175/225/275 (+80/90/100/110/120% AD) true damage from this ability and are stunned for 1.5 seconds after being pulled. The cool down of this spell is reset every time an enemy champion who has not been recently hit by this spell is damaged from Dark Tentacle Eruption. Cost: 55/65/75/85/95 mana Cool Down: 24/23/22/21/20 seconds Range: 1000/1250/1500/1750/2000 Tentacle Grab Range: 600

Ability 3- Void Pulse Passive: The duration of tentacles created from Dark Tentacle Eruption is inceased by 0.5/1/1.5/2/2.5 seconds. Active- Emerged: A pulse of Void energy is emitted from Nal'Toz and all of his tentacles created from Dark Tentacle Eruption, dealing 90/140/190/240/290 (+55% bonus AD) magic damage to nearby enemy units and silencing them for 1 second. Active- Submerged: If this is cast while submerged, it instead causes Nal'Toz to send a wave of Void energy in a large cone in the targeted direction. The Void energy deals 3/3.5/4/4.5/5% (+1% per 100 AP) of each target hit's missing health as magic damage and reveals them for the next 3/3.5/4/4.5/5 seconds. This ability will only deal the missing health damage if the target is below 30% max health. Damage dealt from Void Pulse will not cause Nal'Toz to emerge immediately, instead causing him to emerge after a 5 second delay, which is displayed by a purple timer ring around him once this he damages an enemy with Void Pulse. Cost: 55/60/65/70/75 mana Cool Down: 18/16.5/15/13.5/12 seconds Emerged Pulse Range: 300 Submerged Wave Range: 900 Submerged Cone Degree: 60 degrees

Ultimate- Cry of the Beast Active: After channeling for 4.5 seconds while Submerged, Nal'Toz causes a large wave to go out in every direction, dealing 300/425/550 (+50% AP) magic damage to enemy champions hit and half of that damage to all others units hit. Enemy champions hit are knocked into the air for 0.5 seconds and then feared away from the epicenter of the wave for the next 1/1.25/1.5 seconds. A loud rumbling can be heard during the channel time for this move and, once the wave has been released, all champions will hear Nal'Toz's monstrous cry. Cost: 150/175/200 mana Cool Down: 215/200/185 seconds Range: Global Wave Projectile Speed: 350/360/370

TIPS When Playing Against Nal'Toz

  1. The wave created from Nal'Toz's ultimate is actually slower than or equal in speed to every champion once they have Tier 2 Boots and are not affected by movement impairing effects. Use this to your advantage to get to a position to where you can take the brunt of the wave. If you are low on health and you know Nal'Toz is no where near you, you will likely be able to Recall before the wave reaches you.
  2. Tentacles created from Dark Tentacle Eruption can last for up to 7 seconds once their duration is maxed out. Their duration is reset and extended if they can pull an enemy with Drag Down, so be sure to not get hit by this spell or suffer the consequences. Most of Nal'Toz's spells are telegraphed, so they are easy to dodge without outside help from the kraken's team.

When Playing with Nal'Toz

  1. Using crowd control to help Nal'Toz land his spells can make his disruption increase by extreme amounts.
  2. When Nal'Toz uses his ultimate, try to pressure enemies to not retreat or Recall so they will have to take the damage of the wave and not heal it back in their Fountain.

Very well thought out. Only thing is that E should make him emerge if he hits an enemy.

(also good job including a minigame - Riot approves)

I mean...what...invisible and untargetable forever? This is why champion concepts get so many downvotes.

[slayer-pantheon-thumbs] A bit overpowered in my opinion, but I love it!

Every comment except for the first one is downvoted with no response. Strange.
