The Story of Cyandra, The Girl Surrounded By The Light
Born unto the house of Crownguard, none knew of my existence, name a select few. My elder sister was a prodigy, recognized throughout all of Demacia for her great talents bearing the light. It was said that I too would possess a similar power, if not even greater than that of my sister. Taken away at an early age, I was to begin training for a secret task of which none were to ever discover. My task? I was to be the center of an operation pertaining to sealing away the void.
Piltover researchers believed they had discovered an area in the southern part of the continent which connects directly to the Void. From their theories and experimentation, they reached a conclusion that the area known as "The Void" had a weakness, a weakness known as Light. As my sister's greatness spread, word had made way to the researchers, and they had decided to share their findings with that of the royal counsel of Demacia. The researchers had hopes of convincing them to use my sister as part of their experiments. The counsel refused such a request however agreed that if house Crownguard were to have another daughter, that they would permit her instead. With thoughts of not having more children, my parents agreed to the counsel's decision.
As far back as I could ever remember, I was put through constant training to hone my ability to control every aspect of light. I was to surpass that of even my sister, and it's very likely that I had. My sister had never known of me, however I had learned from all known data about her. I knew everything about her. Combining my knowledge of modern sciences and my inherited abilities, I was powerful, almost too powerful. I could feel the energy inside of me, surging - waiting for me to use it. Then, the day had finally come.
All preparations were finally complete, my training was finally over. We had set forth to the south, to an area which the researchers called "Icathia". It was a city most believed myth, non-existent. There were only rumors of individuals having been there, however through readings of potential Void in-habitation, the researchers were able to pinpoint that there was some truth to it. Traveling down, we had finally made it to the mountains. The researchers were too scared to go much farther beyond that point, so from there I continued on alone. Upon confirming whether or not I could find and effectively seal any part of what they believed to be "The Void", I was to return immediately and give a report on my findings.
I had reached just beyond the southern part of mountains, a point where few have ever claimed to have traveled. I could sense that something was off, different, although at first I couldn't put my mind to it. I was looking for the area which was described by the scientists and researchers, but it wasn't anywhere in sight. I decided to keep walking uncertain of what I would encounter. As I wandered over the course of days, it had suddenly began getting darker and darker, did the sun not reach here? The darkness made me curious, I wanted to know what was in this area. I was excited, I craved to know why there was no light. I went on gleefully until I was unable to see any longer, I contorted the particles around me.. converting them to light up the area so I could see.
Was I hallucinating? No. They weren't Illusions. I was unable to deconstruct rays of light. What I saw was terrifying however thrilling. There were strange creatures in the distance, they feared me. I could see them scatter into the abyss unfolded before me. I asked myself if I could really seal this place, I didn't have an answer. I decided to go back thus I began my journey back towards the light, the opposite direction of the dark abyss. There was a girl in the distance, I couldn't make out who. No matter how long I walked, I could never reach the girl. Yelling out, I called out to her. The girl turned and smiled as she began walking away. I could see what the girl could see.. that girl.. was my shadow, me. As I wandered in, she had wandered out.
Heading for the Rift, only time will tell.. what my other self is planning.
Champion Concept
Character 1 - Cyandra:
A champion who is stuck in The Void and unable to directly damage enemy champions, however can attack enemy minions and Jungle monsters. Cyandra has no health bar and is in Stealth until she damages an enemy minion / jungle monster or inflicts an enemy champion with a status ailment. Cyandra is affected by crowd control and is able to crowd control enemy champions (gaining assists). Cyandra is able to purchase items, however the attributed stats will not damage any enemy champions (on hit effects). Whenever Cyan dies in battle, the Summoner controlling her becomes Cyandra.
Character 2 - Cyan:
The shadow of Cyandra who has escaped from the Void. She has come to Summoners Rift longing to find and combat her elder sister. Cyan is able to damage Champions, Minions, and Monsters with her attacks and abilities.
Suggested Idea For Champion Selection
Draft Mode(s): Two players must give intent for Cyan / Cyandra for a player to be able to lock-in. Locked in for both players when the first player picks it.
Blind Pick Mode(s): When one player attempts to lock in Cyan & Cyandra, give a prompt similar to queue pop asking "Would you like to play Cyan & Cyandra?" If all players hit no, then the champion will be unselectable ( like it was picked already) and the player must pick another champion.
Champion Abilities
Cyandra: (Melee, Mage - 150 Range)
Passive - Void Bound
Cyandra is unable to auto attack or deal damage to enemy champions and cannot attack enemy towers or be targeted by towers and minions. Cyandra is stealthed unless in combat with Jungle monsters or has recently inflicted an enemy with a status ailment.
1st Ability (Q) - Lightwind
Cyandra causes a whirl of Light in a targeted area, pulling enemies towards the storm's center. The storm deals bonus damage to minions and monsters, and grants fog of war vision.
2nd Ability (W) - Prismatic Dome
Passive:
Enemies struck by Cyandra's abilities inflict enemy champions with "Energy Concentration" causing Cyan's attacks and abilities to deal extra true damage per stack of Energy Concentration. This Passive can stack up to X amount of times.
Active:
Cyandra tosses a huge light dome to a targeted ally (can be self cast), increasing all nearby allies Ability Power and Attack Damage while reducing projectile damage within the area of the dome. The dome grants vision in fog of war areas and enemies inside are marked with Energy Concentration.
3rd Ability (E) - Lucent Duality
Cyandra throws a swirling anomaly of contorted light and darkness, rooting enemies who step into it after a brief period of time. If Cyan attacks a rooted enemy champion, the ability will explode dealing damage to them. The ability can be reactivated to go off early, dealing damage to minions and monsters.
4th Ability (R) - Void Prison
Cyandra blinks swiftly to Cyan's location, trapping nearby enemies briefly and inflicting near sight on them. Enemies who dash, blink, or flash outside the walls of the Void Prison are instantly applied the full damage of [maximum] stacks Energy Concentration.
Champion Abilities
Cyan: (Ranged, Mage - 550 Range)
Passive - Light Shadow
Cyan gains slightly increased movement speed and cool-down reduction when within [XXXX] range of Cyandra.
1st Ability (Q) - Light Manipulation
Cyan throws an unstable ball of dark energy which explodes upon striking a targeted area.
2nd Ability (W) - Void Trap
Cyan sets an invisible trap of the Void, causing enemies to teleport randomly to a nearby location when stepped on.
3rd Ability (E) - Chaotic Light Raze
Cyan tosses a spear of light and dark mixed energy which damages the first enemy that it strikes. The ability cannot cross over walls however instead bounces off them dealing increased damage if it strikes an enemy in this manner. The ability will bounce several times before ending if there are multiple walls to chain from.
4th Ability (R) - Final Darkness
Cyan blinds all enemies in a large radius of herself, launching a laser of darkness which damages all enemies hit.
