Freya, the Arctic Embrace

This is a very rough sketch of my newest idea. Freya, the Arctic Embrace. I am open to your tweaks, comments, etc (as long as you are kind and constructive).

Changes:

Passive: Same theme, but different to work in League... Q: N/A W: Changed to utility (damage lowered) E: Damage increased slightly R: AP Ratio increased to be better at "chunking".

Overview: E and R have higher damage to make up for the lowered damage from W. Q is unchanged from the start. Her passive now works with code of League of Legends. Counterplay (safeguard kind of thing) added to her stun.

Abilities:

Passive: Winter Stillness

~~Upon slowing an enemy by at least 30% (allies can help), enemies will become frozen (stunned) for 1 second(s) (scales with level). ~~

Each time an enemy is slowed by Freya, they are marked with 1 stack of Winter Stillness. Upon reaching 4 stacks, the enemy becomes frozen. Stacks deplete after 2 second of not being slowed by Freya.

Enemies are freed after taking damage from enemy champions while frozen.

Changed due to the fact that slows do not stack.

Q: Howling Blast

Mana: 6/7/8/9/10 per second; Cooldown: 3 seconds (all levels)

Freya launches a blast of chilling winds forwards that deals 10/20/30/40/50 (+40% AP) magic damage per second, drains 6/7/8/9/10 mana per second, and reduces Freya's movement speed by 20% during the duration, and slows enemies by 5-10% (depending how close they are to Freya) per second (max. 40%). Arctic Blast is able to cast continuously until stopped (toggle on/off).

(Freya cannot cast other spells while using Arctic Blast)

W: Cutting Winds Arctic Glide

Mana: 40/50/60/70/80; Cooldown: 15 seconds

~~Freya summons a ball of chilling wind to spawn at a marked area. Upon spawning, the arctic wind slows enemies that past through by 15%, and deals 40/80/120/160/200 (+55% AP) magic damage before vanishing, and applies Exposure to enemies hit for 3 seconds. ~~

Freya slides in a targeted direction, creating a path of ice shards for 2/2.25/2.5/2.75/3 seconds in her wake that slow enemies that pass over them by 15%, and deals 60/95/120/155/190 (+45% AP) magic damage and applies Exposure for 3 seconds.

Exposure: Enemies have their total magic resistance reduced by 20%.

Freya can cast other spells while gliding.

E: Fracture

Mana: 80/85/90/95/100; Cooldown: 15/13.5/12/11.5/10 seconds

Fracture becomes available once she has frozen an enemy.

Fracture detonates all frozen targets for 50/90/130/170/210 (+60% AP) magic damage, enemies within 250 units of the denotation radius take in 40% reduced damage. Frozen targets that die to Fracture reset Freya’s basic abilities.

R: Glacial Nova

Mana: 100; Cooldown: 120/100/80 seconds

Freya erupts in an icy blast that applies Winter Stillness (freeze) to all enemies hit by the blast and deals 200/325/450 (+70% AP) magic damage.

ummm you know freya is norse goddess of warmth and fertility right? lol other than that it sounds cool

Hey, great concept! Here are a few potential issues I've found:

  1. Slows don't stack in the game, meaning that none of Freya's slows can actually trigger her passive, which also severely impacts her E. Maybe you could make the slow of her Q build up if your opponent stays in it long enough to help hit that 30%.
  2. The freeze -> fracture combo has a lot of similarities with Sejuani. Maybe you can change the thematic while keeping most of the gameplay elements.
  3. Her E has a relatively long cooldown and her stun only lasts for 1 second, meaning you can only hit one enemy with her E, except when using your ult. (Not necessarily bad, just something you should be aware of).
  4. Her R casts around her, but she doesn't have any tools to enter the heat of battle or get out of it. A lot of damage depends on her R -> E combo, so she might need a more reliable way to hit her ult.

Edit: Forget number 1, I haven't read your Q description carefully enough.

It may be just me but the AP scaling of the ult seems..... Underwhelming.... or lacking

Cool concept, although I have concerns about her reliability. R -> W -> E gives 830 (+165% AP) not to mention the MR reduction from W giving even more damage on the E. That has the potential to be quite a lot of damage with very little that opponents could do for counterplay.

Suggestion: Change the Frozen effect to be something that goes away if the enemy takes a certain amount of damage and/or healing (like Kled's Skarl-health) This ensures that if your allies are uncoordinated or the enemy team shields or heals a target enough then the effect can be countered.

Hmm, in terms of the passive interaction... have it work in terms of the next ability she casts apply the stub (sorts like Annie’s passive) however, instead of the stack bars appearing on Freya, have it apply on the target enemy. As slows don’t stack by themselves (riot recoded it), allow the bar to track the slows and once fully stacked (3 or 4) the stun is triggered. Either let an autoattack trigger the stun after the 3rd stack, or the abilities apply the slow on the third stack.

An alternative is switching the e to the passive... tho I’m not sure atm what to compensate as the new e
