Ironside Malphite is awesome
Do any Reds have any information as to the motivation or inspiration for this particular skin? I thought it was a cool idea that turned out really well from what I have seen.

We had actually begun planning Ironside Malphite when Bilgewater/Burning Tides event.
We wanted to transform Malphite into a ship with cannons, and give him an awesome skin. Unfortunately, given the timeline, we wouldn't have been able to complete his particles and sound effects without rushing them. Looking at Malphite's backlog - he doesn't have a ton of skins with new particles and sounds, so rather than rushing this skin, we held it back (and put a door up on the group splash to hide him), so we could put the time in and give him a skin he deserved.
This looks to be a Bilgewater themed skin. Judging by the fact that there is an event called The Harrowing, I think there is going to be a new map themed around Bilgewater (or map re skin like Butcher's Bridge). The Harrowing is a black mist that comes from the Shadow Isles that carries the monsters from there with it and it's headed to Bilgewater (Bilgewater is in dis order right now already) and it's going to mess shit up. Three words: Bilgewater. Is. Fucked.
Ironside was supposed to go with the Bilgewater release/skins, they altered the images of the other skins to include Malphite. I'm guessing like dock/shipyard kind of thing. I agree he does look cool :D
