Suggestion for the preseason [Honor]

As Riot said, they're looking into more ways of rewarding players through the honor system. Currently the only "rewards" we're getting (not including the perks we "get" for being dishonorable - namely not getting keys) is an Honor Caspule per two months. When you only get rewarded between such long periods, you're not sure what the fancy Honor Lv5 in your profile really values.

So, my suggestion is that when a player gets 4 honors in one game, they should get a capsule - identical to the one given for leveling up in the new preseason.

  • As players have been saying, it doesn't feel nice when you don't get anything for completing a game. Since after preseason you'll only be getting rewards for leveling up, this is a way of rewarding players for meaningful games, while also being tied to the honor system.
  • All the honors received must be from a non-premade (Possibly one premade max).
  • This can be restricted to only honor level 3 or 4 and above.

Q: Won't it be too big of an increase in rewards rate, as this equals to a whole level? A: I don't think so. Riot said it'll take 10-20 (if recall correctly) games to level up. How many 4 honors did you get in the past 50 games? Considering all restrictions along with it, the increase rate shouldn't too high.

Q: Won't people start begging for honor? A: I didn't see too many people ask for honor when the new honor system was released. I don't see why they would now, not to mention begging for honor doesn't equal getting honor; quite the contrary.

Q: The only thing these capsules give is champion shards. This is basically meaningless to players with all (or almost all) champions! A: With the introduced BE shop (along with the fact that Riot said it'll return atleast once a year), BE is now valuable even to veteran players. Also, this is a way for teammates to show apprecation to a player, having the power to reward them. The reward itself is only half the idea :)

What do you guys think?

I like it because you have to do well or support amazingly for you to get one, but what about 5 parties where they would just honor one person? Should it be disabled in 5 parties?

Fundamentally honour means nothing because people don't use it properly. People primarily honour the best player on their team as a thank you for carrying them, even if they call you terrible and treat you poorly all game.
