VanderBilge - The bilgewater engineer
Imagine a champion that laid railroad tracks all over the rift that his team can use to easily traverse the map and get to key areas quickly. The numbers are obviously tentative, as I am not a game designer and have zero experience with balance.
Passive - Ticket Agent Players can purchase train tickets at the fountain to ride Vanderbilge's trains. Players who ride trains can get to their destinations quickly, and are granted a large shield upon completion of their journey. All ticket sale proceeds go directly to Vanderbilge. No refunds. Be sure to fill out the customer satisfaction survey at the end of the game. Vanderbilge INC is not responsible for any property damage or personal injury.
Q - Railworker's Hammer VanderBilge swings his railroad hammer in an area in front of him, damaging enemies for (Flat AD ratio) + 4/5/6/7/8% of their maximum health, and slowing them by 40% for 1.5 seconds. Deals extra damage to jungle minions/monsters.
W - Make tracks/Station Agent -Vanderbilge lays railroad track at the selected area. Tracks can connect to one another, have 1/2/3/4/5 health, and are immune to AoE damage.
-After 10 minutes in-game time, Vanderbilge can re-cast Lay Track on a track to upgrade it to a station. Trains run from the fountain to each station on demand, and can be used by allies. Vanderbilge can have up to 1/2/3/4/5 stations on the map at any given time. Make station has a 45 second cooldown at all ranks.
-Trains have 2/3/5 health and are immune to AoE damage. If a train is destroyed while a player is riding it, the passenger suffers 33/28/23/18/13% of their current health as true damage. While riding a train, the passenger is unable to attack or use abilities, and has his/her skills replaced by "disembark". Disembark destroys the train and places the champion at the train's last location, and gives them a shield based on Vanderbilge's maximum health that lasts until it is destroyed. Stations grant vision in a radius around them, have 3/5/8 health, and are immune to AoE damage. If a train is destroyed, all existing trains on the map go on cooldown for 30 seconds, and are unusable.
E - Conductor's whistle -Passive - while walking on tracks, Vanderbilge rides a minecart, gains 5/6/7/8/10 armor and magic resist, and gains additional movement speed.
-Active - Vanderbilge blows his conductors whistle, granting all surrounding allies additional movement speed. The passive component of this spell is lost while it is on cooldown.
R - Piltover Express -Vanderbilge calls the bilgewater express down the target track. The bilgewater express is a 5-man passenger cargo train which is capable of laying its own track in front of it, up to 10 tracks. Players can right click the train to board it. Upon re-casting bilgewater Express, the train begins to charge forward. Vanderbilge can then lay tracks in front of the train to steer it and extend its lifetime, but as the train gets faster and faster, keeping up with the track-laying becomes more and more difficult. While riding the train, all riders have drastically decreased cooldowns and mana costs, and can use any non-movement ability or attack - using the train as a casting point. (Picture a 5-man gunship)
-The train will explode if it runs out of track, dealing 20% of EVERY CHAMPION IN RANGE'S maximum health as true damage (including allies). This explosion can be averted by casting bilgewaterExpress a 3rd time to slow it to a stop. The train takes 3 full tracks to come to a complete stop. If stopped successfully, champions inside will retain their cooldown reduction and reduced mana costs, and the train will remain as a sort of armored bunker until it is destroyed. The train has 900/1200/1500 health and 30/40/50 armor and magic resist in this state.
Vanderbilge is a jungler by trade, but might be useful as a laner. The object is to lay down as much track as possible, with stations at strategic locations. His ganks would be a combination of Q and E, using his movement speed buff on tracks to get into position. He would have superior objective control through the threat of the bilgewater Express arriving at the key neutral objective full of 5 champions, just blasting away from the safety of the train.
