Kindred, the Eternal Watchers - Proposed Rework

Hey everyone! My name is Chris and I am a CompSci Major and aspiring Game Dev and recently did a mock-rework of Kindred! I'm looking for any feedback the community has both positive and negative!

Kindred

While fairly new, I feel like Kindred fell short of the mark in regards to overall theme of the champ. First things first Wolf doesn't play enough of a roll in the current kit, he is only present of the W and E where he provides small animations. I would like to address the lack of Wolf with this proposed rework. There are a couple of interesting mechanics that would be implemented into the game and I'd love to see what each rank of player thinks about them. First off we need to take a look at what exactly Wolf is: He is the half of Kindred that hunts down those who refuse to accept death.

That being said I'm looking to make Wolf an activate-able champion much like Valor was to Quinn pre-rework. The mechanic for this goes in tandem with his lore, those who do not accept death, and would allow Lamb to activate Wolf only if there is a champion on the map that is below a certain %HP threshold for X amount of time, ideally that would be a percentage somewhere around 10% (I don't have the exact numbers worked out which is why I'm looking to you folks) after staying outside base walls for something around 15 seconds. This would allow Lamb to cast Wolf and the summoner then takes control of Wolf. Wolf has his own kit and passive! We also have to take a look at Wolf's personality - Psychotic - Obsessive - Vicious

  • Passive - Wolf may mark any champion on the map with less than (10% /15%/20%)HP that has been outside of the base walls for longer than 15 sec. During this time he gains a massive movement speed increase and true sight of the marked champion in an incredibly small radius (think 1 Teemo). So as a result of his ruthlessness and obsession with hunting down the prey he tunnels very hard, so hard that it reduces his own vision in the sense that his vision radius is decreased and gains for of war on his own buildings. Unfortunately as a result of his psychotic obsession with the hunt, Wolf hunts unprepared, losing a portion of his total HP, Armor, and MR. During this time, Wolf can be spotted by wards but his icon does not show up on the map.

  • Q - Basic attack modifier - possible lunge similar to Fiora 's Q.

  • W - Wolf marks an enemy for death and creates a zone around them. Once he crosses the threshold he can't leave, he must either die or kill his target. (This encourages his all out fight, he's psychotic and wont stop until the job is done) while in the zone lifesteal and healing are disabled.

  • E - Passive - Basic attacks apply a stack of exhaustion up to 4 stacks, draining movement speed from his target.

  • E - Active - Upon reaching 4 stacks of exhaustion, Wolf can activate E, causing his enemy to be rooted in place from exhaustion.

  • R - Lamb can choose to calm Wolf's bloodlust, ending Wolf's hunting phase early. If Lamb calms Wolf, the %HP threshold of the next hunt is increased, and Lamb gains bonus damage on auto attacks. Calming wolf causes him to be sedated for 120 seconds. (This gives Kindred a choice, they can either go all out and hunt down a single target, or choose to delay it and gain strength throughout the game)

Of course I can't forget about poor Lamb!

W - Healing on hit restored, additionally for X amount of seconds Basic attacks apply a cripple.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this! I look forward to any and all feedback you guys have for me!

Cheer! Chris.

Riot will probably not rework Kindred anytime soon.

good idea, but now it seems like you've almost removed lamb and replaced her with wolf.
