Skin Concept Story - Full Metal Karthus
While I am still doing my 12 days of Karthus series, I thought that I'd try to go back to working on my "Full Metal Karthus" project. After taking a good look at how I wanted this skin to go, I do think it really needed a story to fit the whole thing together with the other Full Metal skins as well as the war against the Battlecast Initiative.
Bit of a disclaimer, there's gonna be a YUUUUUUUUGE wall of text incoming, mostly for the second half of this since I wanted to make it look like code you see out of the black window you'd see when running CMD. :P
This First part is a series of data entries created by Full Metal Jayce, since he is the creator of that particular line of machines after all. There are a couple of of parts I left "Redacted" on purpose for a bit of suspense later on, but that's just me having a little fun :P
##ENTRY 1
Work on the new project has been initialized. We've managed to extract fallen soldiers' Neural Patterns and implant them into nanite computers so that we can detail enemy attack patterns, weapon designs, and base locations. With these, We'll have the edge over the Battlecast forces. Currently building an AI to collect this information for phase B.
##ENTRY 2
Constructed a basic AI to store neuron patterns from nanite stream input. All signs point to normal I've yet to create sentience like I've done with Subjects FM02 ([PANTHEON]) and FM03 ([RAMMUS]), but this is a crucial and dangerous project. I need to make sure the AI doesn't do anything it shouldn't do.
##ENTRY 3
I've received troubling news. Some of the neural Implants we've installed are starting to corrupt. We think it's the capacitors starting to overload with the neuronic energy being transmitted through the soldiers. This was untested bleeding edge technology, but I had to make a choice for the sake of tomorrow. Did I make the right choice? Yes... I know I did.
##ENTRY 4
We've tested the nanites for any corrupt data; no signs so far. Running an additional sweep for safety, this has to be perfect. In the meantime, I've created the main chassis for the new AI, and officially given it the name of FM04 ([REDACTED]) I've also taken the liberty of giving him a connection to our W.A.R.D Satellite for additional surveillance. Should this AI go rogue, Protocol [REDACTED] will trigger, causing a transformation to the satellite into a Ion Cannon that will fire upon the target, disintegrating the target immediately.
##ENTRY 5
Neural transmission has been completed as of 0800 hours. FM04 is ready to receive sentience code. This is the first step to tomorrow. May our future bear witness to the peace, serenity, and grace that this project will bring forth.
##ENTRY 6
FM04 has escaped the facility, killing 4 of our scientists along the way. I can't activate protocol [REDACTED], for he's managed to take control of our communication to the satellite. FM02 and FM03 have been sent to intercept the target. I will be following shortly. I don't know how, but we think the target's enemy detection system has gone haywire.
##ENTRY 7
We've managed to capture and contain FM04, but due to the destruction it caused all around the area, it's been decided to scrap the project. The chassis will be dismantled and the AI will have it's memory wiped and transmitted to the W.A.R.D. As for the Nanites, we believe we can re-purpose them for a different use. Their replication abilities can be used to heal fatal wounds within seconds, and construct skyscrapers just as fast. With this, we will be able to secure a future after all.
This second set of data logs come not from Jayce, but Full Metal Karthus's AI transmitted to the W.A.R.D. (Wide Area Reconnaissance Device) Satellite, designed as an attempt to locate all Battlecast bases.
