Clokk, the Hextech Automage

Clokk is an automation that was created by a crazy tinkering mage with no real purpose at all. Although, Clokk had never met his creator... when he was activated, Clokk was left alone in the tinkerer's workshop. What was left of it at least. Tools, books, and residual magic had been strewn across the workshop, perhaps in a robbery? Clokk would never know, and would spend his life (as much as you could call it a life) searching for his purpose. After many decades, Clokk has found himself on the Fields of Justice in his search for purpose.

Role: Mage

Passive: Arcane Battery Casting spells causes Clokk to fill up his "Arcane Battery" for the amount of mana he spent. Clokk gains bonus ability power based on however much energy Clokk has stored. Arcane battery is worth 50% of Clokk's total mana pool.

Gain 1% more ability power for every 2% of his battery that is full for a maximum of 50% bonus AP (scales off of your existing AP, like Rabaddon's Deathcap)

**Q: "PUR9E" Sequence ** When activated, Clokk will fire a fast, but narrow, beam in the target direction dealing minor magic damage to all those in its path. After the initial cast, Clokk can recast this ability up to 2 times within 4 seconds. On the 2nd recast (3rd cast), Clokk will briefly charge (.5 seconds) a devastating beam and fire it in a wider line in front of him dealing magic damage. Can be cast while moving.

Cost: 30/35/40/45/50 mana per cast Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6 seconds Range: 600 units for all 3 casts

Damage (first 2 casts): 20/60/100/140/180 (+25% of bonus AP) Damage (last cast): 40/80/120/160/220 (+50% of bonus AP)

W: "SH13LD" Protocol While toggled, Clokk will charge a shield over time. Whenever Clokk is hit with a spell while "SH13LD" is toggled, his other basic cooldowns are reduced by 1 second.

Cooldown: 4 seconds at all ranks Cost: 10/12.5/15/17.5/20 mana per second + 2.5 mana per additional second Shields: 30/35/40/45/50 (+10% of bonus AP) per second Maximum Shields: 100/150/200/250/300 shields

E: "P0L4R" Shift When activated, Clokk causes the targeted ground to erupt and deal magic damage in an area while becoming negatively charged with arcane energy. The negative energy remains for 5 seconds and saps enemy champions' resource while dealing a residual amount of damage. Clokk's mana and "Arcane Battery" is charged for a portion of the resources sapped.

Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11 seconds Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 mana Range: 500 units Radius: 500 units Mana Drain: 10/15/20/25/30 mana per second Slow: 20%/22.5%/25%/27.5%/30% Sap to Charge ratio: 10%/20%/30%/40%/50% of all energy sapped

Damage (initial cast): 50/90/130/170/210 (+50% of bonus AP) Damage (over time): 10/20/30/40/50 (+10% of bonus AP)

R: "0V3RL04D" Drive Clokk overloads his circuits at the price of his "Arcane Battery". During this time, Clokk can move freely through units and will start randomly targeting enemy champions with his damaging spells around him, these spell casts do not affect the cooldowns of his other abilities. However, Clokk is slowed for the duration of this ability. NOTE that you can extend the duration of this spell by refilling Clokk's "Arcane Battery" through basic abilities.

Cost: 50/100/150 "Arcane Battery" per second + 10/15/20 additional "Arcane Battery" per second Cooldown: 140/120/100 seconds Movement Penalty: 25%

Frequency of which Clokk will cast "PUR9E" Sequence: 1st & 2nd Cast: 1 cast ever 2/1.5/1 seconds 3rd Cast: 1 cast ever 5/4/3 seconds

Frequency of which Clokk will cast "P0L4R" Shift: 1 cast every 7/6/5 seconds

Design Insight

Clokk is a mana-heavy mage that offers a tool that no other champion offers currently. A "mana-drain" spell! This makes Clokk a sort of control mage, that can keep his enemy's resource bar in check and dish out tons of damage. However, this comes at a heavy price of mana. Clokk must maintain a large pool of mana through items and constant replenishment through sapping with his E. This large dependence on mana does lend a benefit though, his passive very much benefits from the large amount of mana Clokk will be naturally expending and makes him scale very well into the late game, giving him a boost above other mages.

How to play Clokk: In order to play Clokk, you must effectively juggle his HUGE mana costs and his "Arcane Battery".

Clokk's Q is his main damage dealing ability, pretty straight forward, think of it as a Riven Q. But it's been outfitted for a mage. It's rather hefty in mana cost (150 at rank 5), but will surely outdamage any basic ability... granted you land all of them. To get the most benefit from this ability, you may want to invest in a Rylai's so that you can proc the slow on the first 2 casts to easier land the 3rd, most important, cast. Another way to achieve this is to first slow your enemy with his E.

Clokk's W is his main defense ability. Clokk should want to toggle this on before a fight so that he can mitigate damage and maintain a healthy pool of "Arcane Battery" since it drains his mana and reduces the cooldown of other abilities when hit.

Clokk's E is his main mana regeneration/control tool. Clokk can use this to effectively control his opponent's resources, making him deadly in the laning phase against mana/fury/energy/etc. users. This skill will also be used to set up Clokk's Q and to effectively charge his "Arcane Battery" during his ultimate, or just in general.

Clokk's ultimate is the bane of teamfights. This extremely chaotic spell wreaks havoc among teamfights, giving your team a huge advantage by dishing out involuntary damage, whilst draining the enemy team's mana. This can be one of the best ultimates in the game, granted if you can keep it up long enough.
