Be'Tha, the Queen of the Void

Be'Tha is a queen bee-like champion that is born from the Void. Be'Tha controls voidlings β to do her bidding for her, controlling her territory in the Void, coming to Runeterra to conquer territories and have the nations under her reign! Voidlings β are smaller creatures with no legs and always able to fly with their wings, they are quick and deadly (especially in hoards), with a long tail that has a stinger at the end and three spike claw hands and praying mantis-like heads.

Be'Tha is a marksman, most fitting position for a queen! Be'Tha does not have a direct basic attack and instead she commands her voidling β army to attack for her where their movement speed increases the closer they are to their queen (Be'Tha). Despite being able to keep on moving while dealing damage unlike other marksmen and at a long range away, she is still encouraged to get closer to her target since voidlings β need to travel and attacking the closest target (tanks) is more encouraged because of this as voidling β can be shot down (but they do not grant gold for dying) while the beefy dudes are probably melee making them harder to gun down voidlings β without, you know, bows and guns.

Voidling β can only attack targets that Be'Tha directly commands them to attack, they are not like champion pets where they automatically attack the closest enemy to them and do their own thing.

Command Range (Attack Range): 700 units (no direct attacks) Creation Speed + Voidling β Attack Speed: 0.556 +6.5% per level Voidling β Attack Range: 75 units Movement Speed: 340 units per second Voidling β Movement Speed: 900 to 50 units per second based on distance to Be'Tha Base Attack Damage: Normal to the average marksman

Voidling β (Passive): Leash Range: 700 units Be'Tha cannot directly attack targets and instead commands her Voidling β army to do her work for her, attacking whoever Be'Tha commands them to attack.

Voidling β Statistics: ~ Deals (+10%AD)(+5%AP) physical damage for their attacks. ~ Attacks all around them with Runaan's Hurricane. ~ Attack range is increased to 125 with Rapid Firecannon. ~ On hit damage is reduced to 10% effectiveness. ~ Ignores negative on attack effects when attacking enemies. ~ Can apply both attack and spell effects. ~ Can withstand 1 attack hit. ~ Can withstand 1 single target spell hit or 3 area spell hits. ~ Are ignored by towers, minions and monsters. ~ If killed, does not grant gold to the killer. ~ Periodically created, up to a maximum of 10 (+3 per 20%CSC)(+2 per 100AP) at a time. ~ Moves slower the further they are from Be'Tha, with massive fall offs beyond 500 range. ~ Executes minions they attack that are below 25(+100%AD)(+60%AP) health. ~ All will die if Be'Tha dies.

Stinger β (Q): Cooldown: 5/4.5/4/3.5/3 seconds; Cost: 30 mana Be'Tha resets the attack timer on all Voidlings β and commands them to use their stinger for their next attack within 0.25 second, dealing 0.6/0.7/0.8/0.9/1%(+0.2% per 100AP) of their target's maximum health as bonus magic damage.

(Maximum 12/14/16/18/20(+10%AP) bonus magic damage against monsters.)

Beecall (W): Cooldown: 11/10/9/8/7 seconds; Cost: 60 mana Be'Tha recalls all Voidlings β to her location for up to 2.5 seconds, shielding her for 10/30/50/70/90(+120%AD)(+90%AP) shield while Voidlings β are still recalled to Be'Tha's location. This creates maximum Voidlings β.

Be'Tha's next command while the shield still holds will cause all Voidlings β to quickly dash to the target.

Charming Queen (E): Cooldown: 14/12.5/11/9.5/8 seconds; Cost: 70/80/90/100/110 mana; Range: 1050 units Be'Tha fires an enchanting stinger in the target direction that charms the first enemy struck for 1.6/1.7/1.8/1.9/2 seconds, causing Voidlings β to move at their maximum speed towards the charmed enemy.

Beeware of the Hive (R): Cooldown: 110/90/70 seconds; Cost: 50 mana For the next 6/7/8 seconds, Be'Tha makes all Voidlings β invincible and travel their maximum speed regardless of distance for the duration, converting 30/50/70% of their damage to true damage.

NOTE: "Beecall" and "Beeware of the Hive" will eventually get a name change to something more fitting, but damn straight I am going to use these puns as a bee-like champion!

UPDATE NOTES:

Other: Bonus attack speed per level decreased to 6.5% from 7.25%

Voidling β: Now critically strikes normally based on each individual Voidling β that critically struck; so 100% increased damage for normal crits, 150% increased damage with IE crits Removed crits reducing the targets damage by 3% stacking up to 15 times Damage per Voidling β reduced to 10%AD 5%AP from 12%AD 7%AP Additional Voidling β maximum spawn adjusted to +3 per 20% crit chance from +2 (+3 with IE) per 20% crit chance now also increases Voidling β spawn by +2 per 100AP

Beeware of the Hive: True damage conversion lowered to 30/50/70% from 40/70/100%

I think you forgot the AP-scaling on-hit heal somewhere in her kit

[slayer-jinx-wink]

Is there a max amount of drones?

It sounds like W benefits from leaving Drones behind for extended shield, which seems at odds with the rest of the kit.

A skillshot charm reminds me a bit too much of Ahri and seems out of place (scary void monster shooting a stinger).

R certainly does fit the thematic and delivers a powerspike, but feels a bit bland IMHO.

The benefits from closer range and killable drones differentiate it very well from Azir and the abilities fit the thematic well. Overall well made kit, although I like to think that there is some untapped potential.

I can't BEElieve you want to change those BEEatiful puns

What you're telling me here is that you have a marksman who's completely useless against other marksmen?

Her "auto-attacks" can be killed in one hit by enemy autos, meaning any ranged champion can gut her damage output just by killing the bees. They don't even have to kill all the bees. Be'Tha's damage output on paper is hilariously low unless you can maintain at least half a dozen bees.

Also:

while the beefy dudes are probably melee making them harder to gun down voidlings β without, you know, bows and guns

Not only is this fairly moot due to all champions in the game out-ranging the bees, but if this works the way it seems like it should, then Be'Tha basically automatically kills herself if she ever hits a tank with Thornmail.

tr;dr update notes: ~ base damage on voidlings lowered ~ voidling attacks can now critically strike for increased damage ~ removed unique critical debuffing effect ~ max voidling spawn can now be increased with ability power in addition to critical strike chance ~ bonus attack speed per level lowered ~ less true damage
