A REQUEST for Yorick's full VGU

Can his ghouls have voices? Chatter among themselves? Talk to Yorick? Talk about Yorick as if he can't hear them? Give them idle animations and idle conversations.

"Does he know where he's going?"
"Does it matter?"
- "I hope we get to smash things!"
"Aaaatttttack!"
"Charge!"
"Wahay!"

One thing all current minion mancers lack is a real... personality to their minions. If you can make the experience of playing Yorick even 20% of what it's like to play the Overlord in the Overlord game series, I'll be happy. There's something about disposable minions that you find adorable but still don't particularly care about dying.

Plus, just imagine the Bad Santa Yorick skin with his horde of elves "droning" Jingle Bells or some other nursery rhyme:

Eh, it's risky, because it would mean a helluva lot more intricacies when it comes to designing future skins. They've already stated that minion masters like Zyra already require a ton of effort from the skin dept because of all the extra designing needed for the specific minions, and adding voices might make the process, and the feasibility of regular Yorick skins, a huge ordeal.

The voices don't have to be different on each skin...

Gangplank still speaks like a pirate on his Special Forces skin, after all.

The Christmas elves idea was more something they could prerecord while doing his new lines, sort of deal, like how Taliyah's two skins have different quotes. A Dog Walker skin would only require barking effects, and considering the new SFX some 1350 skins get, swapping out voices for some generic barking sounds wouldn't be hard either. Some of Zyra's plants have different SFX for their attack sounds and growing sounds, with Harrowing having stone-sliding-on-stone sounds. I don't think it's any harder to create skins by having the minions speak - look at Kindred.

For the most part - all skins could just use the same minion voices.

Make sure that when Yorick uses /dance they lock arms and start squaredancing

Hmm... I don't know. In my opinion, personally, this might clutter the design too much. However, some simple phrases could be a nice little touch (like, saying "I am so tired" on spawn, or "I obeeeeyyyy...").

I agree that minion controllers don't have much minion personalities in their designs, but on the other hand, they are pretty unique in themselves, so adding uniqueness to their minions as well would be, like, too much.

I suppose there might be some clutter, since in the Overlord games the character never speaks and the mood is entirely set by the minions - but that wouldn't be so bad even in League. In light of Kindred's amazing voice lines, it wouldn't be hard I'm sure to create a script that's a combination of Yorick lines, Minion lines and talking-to-each other lines, and have them all play at appropriate times and seem fun. Bashing annoying sprites might feel better for the enemy too, and generally create more enjoyment all around.
