[CHAMPION CONCEPT] Shi, the Origin of Undeath
Shi is the original spirit of undeath that was used to forsake the Shadow Isles to eternal damnation. Now leading an army of the undead, he has taken an interest in destroying and eating Runeterra until no life is left. Shi uses Soul Reuse to destroy the enemies hopes of pushing against his team while at the same time recruiting a temporary army to assist him in battle once he uses his ultimate, Undeath. That is not all however. Shi is a bringer of death and disease, using his forsaken blade to kill all who oppose him in a very unique manner. Sword of Plague causes Shi to apply Disease Flow to enemies he damages, causing them to be given an anti-healing shield. Whenever that unit regenerates health in any way, shape, or form, the anti-heal shield will instead be depleted instead of healing them. After a 5 second duration, Disease Flow will detonate if it has not all been healed, causing the target to take the remaining anti-heal shield as magic damage. This allows Shi to pack a punch in early trades and cause his enemies to think twice about attacking him. All in all, Shi brings out a unique play style that will force his enemies to work around him or be destroyed. Soul Reuse will make his enemies nearly unable to push wherever Shi is located and Undeath will allow Shi to push back with great force. Undeath also allows Shi to pull off an extremely quick jungle clear time if it is available, especially when he can use Soul Reuse constantly. While Shi seems like the full package, he has one extremely noticeable weakness. If he doesn't have any souls, he will run pretty dry on his own health. allowing him to be pushed to the side very quickly by his enemies. This is especially present early game when Soul Reuse has an extremely long cool down. Also note that enemy units affected by Soul Reuse will be reawakened if they are the closest "dead" unit upon Shi using their soul, meaning Soul Reuse will not cause Shi to instantly kill everything he consumes unless he has Undeath. That would be silly.
LORE In the ancient past of the Shadow Isles, there lived a kingdom of once prosperous humans and nature that lived in harmony. The rivers flowed with life and the trees grew to the sky. The citizens of the islands were beings of a simple nature that farmed and traded across the seas. They were a very peaceful civilization. However, one day, a new king arose that would lead the kingdom into eternal darkness. He began to pillage and plunder the islands trade partners, leaving behind nothing but death and despair. One island that he plundered was one too many it would seem however. A necromancer on that island used his powers originally only to fight when absolutely needed. However, when his family was killed and dragged to the docks to hang, he went insane. On his island there was a temple of a locked away spirit that was the original being who first brought necromancy to all of Valoran. When the spirit arrived on their island, they rebelled what he used his powers for and used powerful magic to seal him into the temple. However, the necromancer knew what he had to do, or at least what he thought he had to. He traveled to the temple and unlocked the seal keeping the spirit inside of it. Quickly, the spirit known as Shi exploded from the temple and took one glimpse of the necromancer before killing him. Consuming his soul, Shi grew in power. He quickly traveled to the kingdom on the island and consumed the souls of the all that had died from the Shadow Isles' invasion. Shi then, with great power, took to the seas as a great fog. His travels eventually lead him to the Shadow Isles. The king, now a wealthy maniac who controlled the island by force, saw the coming fog but did not react. That would be his mistake for he should have stopped it when he had the chance. The spirit flowed across the island to the castle and found the king and his wife. Shi quickly killed the queen and then turned to the king to sate his hunger. One of the king's loyal sorcerers, however, was able to subdue Shi before he could kill the king. They trapped Shi and analyzed his powers, finding that he consumed the souls of the living to fuel himself. The king, outraged and wanting his queen back beyond belief, ordered the sorcerers use Shi's power to bring back his queen and all the spirit had killed. This turned out to be a mistake as what arose back to life was no longer anything close to human. The first to awaken from the inside of Shi was a spirit known as Mordekaiser, who began to kill everything in sight. The sorcerers foolishly continued to flow out the spirits that Shi had collected, despite everything that was being born. The king, driven mad, would not stop them either, urging them to continue. The undead quickly overtook the island. The king continued until the being known as Hecarim emerged from the beast and shortly afterwards the king's queen. Hecarim charged at the king, slaughtering him and feeding his soul to Shi. The sorcerers finally stopped, but it was too late. An army of the undead was before them and they had no where to run. Shi consumed their souls and turned to see the army that had been drained of him. Hecarim bowed before Shi, seeing him as his new leader. Shi saw what could be his kingdom of death and took it. Sending out Hecarim to find more life and return the souls to him, Shi began to corrupt the Shadow Isles piece by piece with his undead army. Travelling across the sea, the Shadow Isles became a threat known across the land. When Hecarim found Bilgewater and shortly afterwards Runeterra, they were marked for death. Shi could not resist and began his journey to Runeterra to claim all of the souls there that were all looking so tasty. It was going to be a buffet and he was the one to eat it.
KIT Shi, the Origin of Undeath Fighter Secondary: Mage Health- 485 (+85 per level) Health Regen.- 2 (+0.7 per level) Armor- 19 (+4 per level) Magic Resist- 32.1 (+1.25 per level) Movement Speed- 335 Attack Damage- 60 (+2.5 per level) Attack Speed- 0.65 (+2.1% per level) Attack Range- 175 (Melee)
Passive- Sword of Plague Innate- Disease Flow: Whenever Shi damages a unit with his basic attack, they have a 25 (+5 per level) (+20% AP) anti-heal shield applied to them. Whenever that unit regenerates health in any way, the anti-heal shield is depleted by the amount of health regenerated instead of regenerating their health. After a 5 second delay, the anti-heal shield will detonate, dealing magic damage to the target equal to the remaining anti-heal shield. The anti-heal shield will be refilled if the target takes further damage from Shi, but the current duration will not refresh, causing the anti-heal shield to detonate 5 seconds after it was originally applied and not 5 seconds after subsequent damage. If all of the anti-heal shield is healed, it will not detonate and the target won't take any damage. This cannot be applied to the same target for 6/5/4 seconds once the anti-heal shield is either destroyed or detonates. Levels: 1/7/13
Ability 1- Soul Reuse Active: Shi absorbs the souls of all enemy minions and monsters around them, sending them into a static stasis. During this time, they are suppressed, will take no damage from Shi, and only take 50% damage from other sources. Shi can only absorb up to 10/11/12/13/14 souls at a time and gains 3/3.5/4/4.5/5% increased health regeneration for every soul he currently has. Upon using a soul, the closest unit will have their soul returned to them, but they will take 15/20/25/30/35% (+3% per 100 AP) (Maximum of 300/350/400/450/500 damage versus monsters and minions) of their maximum health as magic damage. This does not affect epic monsters, structures, and champion created units. Cool Down: 30/27/24/21/18 sec. Range: 800
Ability 2- Soul Rupture Active: Units currently affected by Sword of Plague will be feared for 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5 seconds and have Sword of Plague spread to all enemy units around them. Shi uses 3 souls to use this ability or will drain his own health. If he uses souls to use this ability, enemies hit will have a soul entered and then ripped out of their body, dealing 60/95/130/165/200 (+60% AP) magic damage. Cost: 3 Souls or 15% max health Cool Down: 12/11/10/9/8 sec. Range: 950
Ability 3- Soul Destruction Active: Shi forms a tether of souls between himself and the target unit and begins to channel, dealing 40/65/90/115/140 (+20% AP) magic damage per second to the enemy and applying Grievous Wounds. While the tether is connected, Sword of Plague will be applied every 0.1 seconds to the target and the maximum anti-heal shield is increased by 10/15/20/25/30%. Shi uses 1 soul per second to use this ability or will drain his own health per second. If he uses souls to use this ability, this ability will deal true damage instead of magic damage. Cost: 1 soul per second or 3.5% max health per second Cool Down: 15/14.5/14/13.5/13 sec. Range: 750 Tether Range: 850
Ultimate- Undeath Active: Shi consumes every soul he currently has, causing all units currently affected by Soul Reuse to be killed. Enemy units killed in this way will rise back from the dead around Shi at his current location and follow him. They will attack whichever unit he is currently attacking until an enemy champion comes within 1300 units of Shi, causing every unit affected to rush at the closest enemy champion with 125/150/175% (+10% per 100 AP) movement speed, 110/120/130% (+3% per 100 AP) attack damage, and 110/125/140% attack speed. This can only cause 10/13/16 units to become undead, affecting enemy units closer to Shi over enemy units further away. Cost: All Current Souls Cool Down: 130/115/100 sec. Range: Global
