Yami, the Steel of the Wind

Yami is a hummingbird inspired champion, large hummingbird around the size of a yordle, light blue and white to blend with the blue skies and flying among the clouds; also she is female. Yami can steel her beak, literally, and use it as a sword to swiftly strike at her foe and end their life!

Yami wanders Runeterra ever since she was little when her parents were murdered by Demacians. Still young, she searches for her purpose in the world, flying through the skies at extreme speeds and slaying those that are threatening the weak, but mercilessly killing most Demacian stragglers on site as she feels she can never forgive them for what has happened to her parents.

This is her way of life for now, but is it her true purpose? Probably not, which is why she wanders the world in search for answers to why she is born and what she actually must do, because she knows deep down that she must be more than just a killer, but it is all she knows what to do in the meantime.

For now, she is feared and Demacia especially is on close watch on her, as her skills with steel and her quickness makes her the deadliest swordsman out there. Nothing is more terrifying than a bird with a goal for vengeance, especially one that is as skilled and deadly as Yami.


Yami is an assassin, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike, and slaying her opponent in a quick swoop and slash - always going for that clean kill with no blood on her feathers or even her steel hard and sharp beak!

Yami doubles as a support-assassin, with great timing is able to prevent your backline from taking damage, while utilizing your passive to be able to roam, get out vision, and return to your duo-lane partner's side!

Yami's main weakness is her inability to get targets low, but her strengths are picking off low health stragglers and finishing them off. But she is not all about damage, she has an unique crowd control known as "Float" which makes the target airborne, though they are still able to move, slowing not only their movement, but reducing the range of ALL of their mobility effects (excluding true globals like Teleport) by the same percentage (channeled effects do not get disrupted).

Fast Flier (Passive):

Yami gains up to 40% - 100% [based on level] (+10% per 100AP) total movement speed based on her current Airflow.

Yami uses Airflow, up to 100 Airflow at a time, moving generates Airflow while having insufficient Airflow prevents her from using her abilities. This automatically refills by 10 Airflow per second if Yami currently has the Blue Buff.

Engarde! (Q):

Cooldown: 3 seconds; Cost: 10 Airflow; Range: 250 units

Yami steels and steadies her beak for 1.5 seconds, unable to basic attack, colliding with an enemy with her beak deals (+120/125/130/135/140%AD) physical damage, this can critically strike for 50% increased damage, then she returns to her normal stance and able to attack. If the target was below 35% health, then this deals true damage instead.

If Yami's beak collides with an enemy champion basic attack, melee or ranged, then it blocks and nullifies the attack instead and refunds Engarde's cooldown, returning to her normal stance and able to attack.

Slash Down (W):

Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds; Cost: 35 Airflow; Range: 500 units / 180 degrees

Yami slashes her beak in a cone in the target direction, dealing 80/120/160/200/240(+80%bAD)(+80%AP) magic damage and destroying struck enemy projectiles. Deals 50% damage against enemy champions above 35% health.

Uprising Winds (E):

Cooldown: 8 seconds; Cost: 12/19/26/33/40 Airflow; Range: 700 units

Yami flutters her wings creating powerful winds around her, struck enemies becoming Floaty for 2.5 seconds, slowing their movement and reducing the effectiveness of their mobility ranges by 15/30/45/60/75%, true global effects are unaffected by this. Floating targets are considered airborne.

Yami's attacks and Engarde! will deal 8/9/10/11/12%(+2% per 100AP) of target's missing health as bonus physical damage against Floating enemies, deals true damage if the target is below 35% health.

Sonic Boom (R):

Cooldown: 140/100/60 seconds; Cost: 50 Airflow; Range: 1000 units

Yami blasts herself in the target direction, breaking the sound barrier, and dealing 120/160/200(+60%AP) magic damage to struck enemies, dealing double damage to 240/320/400(+120%AP) magic damage against airborne targets, then refilling 100 Airflow afterwards. Struck Floating targets are knocked up for 1.25 seconds.

Targets below 35% health are dealt 50% increased damage.
