If ya'll haven't seen it, Ace of Spades Ezreal has some more changes up on the PBE.

Personal opinion of course, but I'm disappointed. I liked the original version they put up best.

I just think the "blond wannabe boy-band member" skins have been done to death on him. I shouldn't be complaining, seeing that a champion with 8 skins already is getting another one (which I'm happy about), but this was a chance for a new, cool-looking skin and now it just kinda looks like more of the same (to me, anyway).

Humbly requesting a return to the original version :/

I like the changes to the outfit but I hate the hair. It looked much better brown then it does blond... he is blond in just about all of his skins so we really don't need it again. The brown actually made this one more unique originally and now it totally lost that.

Well I felt the stripped shoulders kind of made the suit look a little clowny. The flat color goes better with the theme overall.

Because they won't add what most people want on the QoD skin due to the fact that they'd have to make visual effects changes and that'd cause the skin to increase in price. They said they don't have the bandwidth resources to do that as they'd need to pull someone off another project and that'd set their whole schedule behind.

Yeah, it makes me sad too. There could be a lot more done to her skin but it's sadly not gonna happen since they planned it to be a 750 and said they aren't going to change that.

I think the reason they changed his hair color was to make him more easily identifiable. A big head of blond hair is kinda Ezreal's thing, and since he doesn't have too many other defining characteristics immediately seen from his model, they changed his hair. (not sure why they changed the clothes though, maybe it was too cluttered at game height?)

I see what you're getting at (regarding in-game reads), but honestly if people aren't able to identify the tiny, constantly-casting, power-glove-with-glowing-lights-wearing dude as far from the fight as possible, the blond hair isn't gonna help

Sure, in-game reads are important, but he's got more than enough to justify a hair color change I think. Very disappointed in Riot's decision here :/

Not to mention, his hair wasn't important enough to prevent Frosted's white hair or Explorer's helmet, it seems pretty lame that they'd now worry about it (since I don't think anyone's ever complained about the reason they can't find Explorer Ezreal is that "his hair isn't showing as much")

Yeah, the glove is his one only other visual trait, but in this skin it's a little hidden and harder to see

There are many characters who have skins that barely look like the original ones (especially females champs... and don't forget definitely-not-blitzcrank). Atleast this skin's abilities still look the same, so it's easy to realize that he's ezreal. It's not like someones going to think he's wukong just because he has similar hair.

i would have bought this skin for the brown hair but I think I'll pass now. It's just regular ezreal in a now unattractive outfit. It's way to blonde. I'd prefer light brownish blonde if nothing else. I buy skins because I want champs to have a different look and this just doesn't stand out as unique anymore with the same hair as his other skins. I may as well play one with a better outfit and save my rp.

The dark hair was the best, and I was actually considering getting the skin with the first iteration. Not anymore. The first one actually looks like Ace of Spades Ez. The new one just looks like After the Salon- Brazilian Blowout Ez.

Don't worry, they released Boxer Lee Sin in the same update they released Ace of Spades Ezreal.

And Lee Sin had

A completely different model
Different sounds on most abilities
Different spell effects
Different ANIMATIONS on most abilities
Different animations on running/etc

Fuck this bias-assed company. So sick of how often they play blatant favorites.

The fact that most of us complaining about this is because we have no idea why Ezreal is getting 2 skins in such a short time, while other champs like Graves Lucian isn't getting any.

I agree, Ezreal's one of my favorite champions, but I'm still wondering why we have another when there are so many champions that haven't gotten the love in quite some time. He has so many already and in so many styles, why not give some skins to Zac Fiora or Kennen ?

They've been changing it because, as we've looked at on PBE- the previous iterations of Ace of Spades Ezreal didn't have ANY of the visual cues of it being Ezreal- distinctive gauntlet/handpiece, flashy hair, and a slight build. The outfit adds a little bit more size to his overall build shape, dark hair gets rid of the biggest cue for Ezreal, and his gauntlet blended way too easily into the rest of his outfit- it honestly took time to figure out who this champion was in-game. He really needs these cues due to the fact that his animations (until he starts throwing abilities and dealing damage) are rather bland; indistinctive. The visuals of boy-band hair, slim build, and asymmetrical gloves really stick in the mind to identify the champion.

I think the new hair looks cool. Much more regal, as I always imagine Ezreal would be. He's like Renly Baratheon from Game of Thrones. Metro, closet gay dude who dresses super extravagantly.

I think the first version was too black/dark, i liked the brown much better. I don't agree on removing the stripes either.

But i get why they made him blonde again: ez has nothing distinguishing in his silhouette, his hair is one of his major distinguishing features, along with the gauntlet (which doesn't really stand out on this skin)
