Riot removes almost every post I make

SorasMemories··11 votes·1,710 views

It seems almost every time I make a post, it gets removed for "being in the wrong spot". I bet this post will get removed, too. What's the point of posting here when everything I say is, apparently, irrelevant to the game?

Unfortunately, whatever moderators are running the forums right now don't even follow these guidelines that Riot has set forth for us. I posted a suggestion about a new champions theme song in sound and music, which follows the rules 100%, it gets deleted. I post about a bug that happens with the new "low quality optimization" stuff they've been doing in the bugs section, deleted.

Riot needs to take a serious look at the people who are deleting things here and figure out what their freaking issue is.

It's possible that for various reasons your champion soundtrack post wasn't adding to or creating any discussion. Also, for the Report a Bug page, they have a specific method for bug reports that they want you to follow. See those guidelines here. A lot of people don't follow them, and a lot of posts get deleted off of that board.

Why would this warrant deletion? If it's not adding to or creating any discussion, it will fall off the actively viewed areas naturally.

A lot of people don't follow them, and a lot of posts get deleted off of that board.

This is a design problem rather than a user issue. If a significant subset of the community uses something improperly without intentionally doing so, it's likely there's an issue with whatever they are using. Having guidelines is all well and good, but if it's unwieldy people just aren't going to use it. If you want someone to RTFM (read the f****** manual), make a better f****** manual.

No, people read the guidelines, just not the moderators. Either they're illiterate and incapable of understanding what's being posted by the users or Riot's rules, or they just don't care about Riot's opinion.

Yes, a there are people who spam stuff that obviously doesn't belong, but when you have a large portion of the community confused and complaining about how a peaceful conversation is just rage banned, there's something wrong.

Same... lol but sure getting rid of the regular forum was a good idea,...

I now gets the picture they made these boards to silence criticism. pathetic but not surprised.

I don't see how changing forums would make a difference in censorship.

It could be that Riot just don't care about us. I have seen it before, they put up a FORUM for us,and it's only for the player to make them feel special, or important to the company. But, really it is just to let us vent. Then they let some player(unofficial employee) mod the forum.

In my personal opinion, it's a bit misguided to think Riot doesn't care about the community. They have shown countless times that many design decisions are directly influenced by community perception, and there is absolutely an atmosphere of player focus surrounding the company. Mistakes are made (silence counts as a mistake), yes, but attributing it to them not caring is not necessarily valid.

I said; COULD BE. I am still very new to LoL.

Ah, fair point. Welcome to the community, at any rate. :)

No, not Riot at least. They constantly post and a lot of feedback have made it into the game. It takes time though so it's not always noticeable but a lot of stuff can be traced back to suggestions from the forums.

I understand the need for organization, but I feel if you are so random and somehow at the same time strict, then you should probably find a way to impliment being able to move threads instead of just deleting them.

And if you cant literally move the entire thread, then look into some way to notify op and all the posters already taking part in the discussion of where op should post and to the participators where they can find ops post if he chooses to repost to continue discussion.

I\ve been so frustrated with these boards...for real.

Sooooo I logged onto my layschip acct today. And I was greeted by a leavebuster warning, threatening me for leaving too many games TODAY. Yeh, so there is a snowstorm in Ontario and during one ARAM match i was disconnected like 8-10 times during that single game. My entire team and enemy team reported me. Then I played another ARAM and same stupid Bell or Cogeco cable internet connections. Put the blame where it is due.........namely the throttling and un-upgraded internet infrastructure of big corporation, and not the player.

I play and COMPLETE a few games EVERY DAY without any disconnect or an issue. So look have your paid coders' factor into the reasons for leave cases. No doubt they can't test all scenarios before rolling out the code into production, but here I've and many others are doing their work for them. Add more lines of code to the leavebuster algorithm. Don't be so fast to judge and blame the player for all your problems. Especially when the real reason for blame here are the companies and their overly simple 'lax' codebase.

btw have ur moderators not delete posts like these that expose riot's flaws. damn censorship nazis

I made a thread in Boards and Feedback and they removed it saying it was in the wrong place, and that I should've posted it in Boards and Feedback. It was a negative post about the new Promo system.
