I have seen several discussions and emails back from the Support team stating that Rioters are not required to look at the feedback on the boards. They do not come here as part of the job and do not need to take anything here seriously, save for skin ideas that they want to put in and then not give credit for. Send emails to support regarding this matter:** The Boards are apparently not for discussion with the Rioters who actually have control over the game and that that makes no fucking sense.**

Maybe if we get enough, they'll actually have the employees look at customer feedback instead of screwing us all over. Edit: I've received emails directly in response to my sent ones stating that they can't "force" Rioters to come to the boards. Since, you know, they totally aren't employees and employees totally don't have to listen to the bosses on matters that would have massive benefit. LOGIC=9001.

I don't hear much about companies getting a bad rep from listening to the consumers.

Riot doesn't discuss game balance. They just dictate it. Get used to it fast or just stop playing.

Right, right. Because that's totally not the reason every dictatorship failed, right? Granted they did last a few years, but without talking to the people who actually play the game, they aren't going to be popular for much longer. Especially with better-looking, more challenging games like Smite coming out to fill the MOBA void they'll leave.

Actually, Argentina's military dictatorship failed because it ran out of money. They gave away the government without resistance to democracy in exchange for keeping their money and being excused from all crimes they committed in office. The country's economy was practically destroyed when they left. ^^

Dictatorships fail because they don't listen to the people. Reason they ran out of money was because they didn't listen to the people.

The military forcibly took control because the people didn't like the president. She hadn't actually been elected, her husband had, and she was granted presidency after he suddenly died. There was a very scary tension between her and the voters (understandable in the political climate at the time, shit was going down), so the military took advantage and threw a coup d'etat.

The military dictatorship ran out of money (and then gave up power) because their economic policy was short sighted. Basically, the military government took control of key industries, like the car industry, and they closed imports. Without competition and with government funding, the industries were able to quickly grow and develop. It worked really well in getting the country to industrialize and getting people jobs. The downside was that the industries got bloated and over-valued. The model was unsustainable, and they were unable to control inflation.

And that's why Argentina's military dictatorship failed. It had absolutely nothing to do with listening to the people, because at that time neither of the governments actually listened to the people.

Rioters have limited fields of experience in which they work. They aren't all champion designers or gameplay at all. They also do occasionally check forum posts, which there happens to be A LOT of. So don't expect every topic to get attention. Especially don't expect serious topics to get attention, because Rioters do not like to speculate about things that aren't a part of their field, and do not like to make any promises (that could be broken or delayed) or statements that could be seen as an admission of guilt or credit (which could be used against them later). Also, being an employee means you agree to certain tasks for certain compensation. It does not make you a slave. You do not have to do anything outside of your job, and their job doesn't include being a forum mole.

I like this Argentina talk though. Interesting...

Something inside your job would include anything beneficial the company tells you to do, regardless of your job description. And you're agreeing with me... That they don't look here. Even the ones who DO, usually aren't game designers. So we get maybe a little communication with Rioters who, like us, can't make a difference.
