What happened in that decision making process? Why are the boards still so dark with no option to change them?

Formatting thing: you can actually quote across sections -- IMO, it's slightly nicer than just giving a link. So this:

I'll soon release a CSS stylesheet file optimised for making custom color schemes. Just bear with me. I'm currently making Deep sea blue scheme (because I really hate the color they used for this forum, I hate it wherever I see it), so it won't be what you need, but my stylesheet will be easily re-colorable.

I'd love to see one with the scrolling top bar and notification area movement, that doesn't change any of the other elements (they all add transparency, etc, that I'm not so interested in). By the end of this semester I should know enough CSS to do it myself without investing too much time.
