What happened in that decision making process? Why are the boards still so dark with no option to change them?

Formatting thing: you can actually quote across sections -- IMO, it's slightly nicer than just giving a link. So this:

I'll soon release a CSS stylesheet file optimised for making custom color schemes. Just bear with me. I'm currently making Deep sea blue scheme (because I really hate the color they used for this forum, I hate it wherever I see it), so it won't be what you need, but my stylesheet will be easily re-colorable.
