"Unsafe Link Modal": site claims leaguefactions.net is "unsafe"?
No idea what's going on here, but when I try to link leaguefactions.net, it claims it's "unsafe".
I might be a deadly yordle snap trap myself, but LeagueFactions.net is perfectly safe.

Howdy CupcakeTrap,
I think you're just referring to our default external link modal. It does that for everything that isn't leagueoflegends.com. We just call it the "unsafe link modal" because we had to call it something and developers tend to be very literal in their naming of things.
So, in sum, nothing to worry about.
In this case, when I click on it, it just reloads the Community Beta page. I don't get a "are you sure you want to go there?" dialog box or anything like that.
EDIT: It works if and only if I left-click on it. If I try to open it in a new tab, it just re-opens the thread. That's kind of annoying; it forces you to leave the thread to view a link.
It's how the beta works.
It's really not friendly with mouse-wheel clicks or "open in new tab" right clicks.
If they did the "Are you sure you want to go there?" dialog as an actual page rather than a pop-up, it seems it would remedy this problem.
Not being able to open in a new tab is a pretty massive fault. I get that the pop-up is "cooler" than the separate-page redirect screen, but I think basic browsing functionality is more important than coolness.
Yeah, we plan on changing this. We want to be mindful of potential abuse, but we don't want to make it too annoying either. We want to tweak it soon tee em.
As someone that 99% of the time opens a new tab with my mouse wheel, opening a new tab in the beta is really annoying.
IMHO, a website should be easy to use and quick. If I can't get what I want quickly, it's annoying, to repeat myself.
Worst case scenario, if you really desire to keep the "warning leaving website" popup, at least give us an option in our profile to deactivate it.

You don't get to level 25 without learning a couple tricks along the way. ;)
For some reason now the time stamps are acurate.
But there are still some wonky things with them. At the time of this edit, my post is 7minutes old even tho I jsut made it.
You might want to eventually take a look at them as there is defenitly something wrong with them.
What, you mean the fact that I'm looking at your comment from 2 minutes ago in response to my comment one minute ago?
Good catch. I'll alert the team and we'll add it to the list. Thanks!
When you make a new comment, I think we might be currently using the at-page-load-time time stamp. We'll get this looked into.
I waited a bit to see what happens and the time stamps, for whatever reason, eventually seem to fix themselves overtime. Seems to only go wonkers in the first 30minutes. Could be entirely wrong as well.
Thanks Bob!
I agree with Kira's suggestion to let us opt-out of the protective screen, though of course not everyone can be counted upon to investigate all their custom settings, and the default system should be fairly smooth.
If a protective screen is deemed absolutely necessary, then I think a forum-style separate page at least is more functional.
So it may not necessarily take the form of an opt-out option, but we are looking to remove some friction from the opening a new tab process.
By the way - talking about that, for me the warnings are sometimes applied and sometimes not. At this particular moment, the link is unchanged.
What is scary - same applies for dangerous javascript code on the page embeded in links!!!
This was done intentionally a specific security decision. What we may do in the future is provide a way to opt-out of the security window.
