Is Anet. I have, in all my time playing gw2 (couple hundred hours), heard anyone say anything like:

fuck anet

anet sucks

anet never responds to the payers

anet completely screwed up on x, y, or z

Gw2 has patches every two weeks... some of which change pvp balance a LOT. But... somehow... they are able to deliver on what people want...

Riot, being on the boards, like, ever is not hard. I have responded to more threads on the front page than any rioter... significantly.

It works both ways. A hostile community (like this one) doesn't really incentivize Rioters to get on, you know?

They aren't actually paid to get on here. Going on the boards isn't part of their job description. There are like interns they have (or at least had) that handle the twitter and come on here, but they aren't really qualified to talk about balance/lore. They just post fun things like "Birds that aren't Azir" and those open questions to the community.

Now, the question is should Riot have people that are meant to actively discuss (instead of just explaining on like 1 board) changes made to the game. Is it profitable to do so? I don't know, but they certainly don't think so.

If nobody is doing it cuz nobody has the time even though they make bank up the ass, then there's the problem.

It's riot that should do this "incentivizing". We, players, simply react to their wall of silence concerning recent changes and they absolutely refuse to discuss them or at least explain what the fuk is their goal with those changes. Meddler Appeared to explain his eve nerf once, got downvoted into oblivion(for a good reason) and then he decided "fuck these nerds they don't understand a thing about balance" and never bothered to either explain his decision further or at least try to prove people that this nerf makes sense. So don't talk like there's no reason for a hostile community. People become hostile for a reason. They come to gameplay & balance in hopes that they could discuss issues with the current state of the game, maybe influence some of the balance decisions, share their experiences. But in the end only threads like "what are you planning to do next patch" are occasionally getting any answers.

it's only hostile to riot because they don't take care of us. they don't ban the toxic players because even toxic players spend money, and just like kindred, they release champs to be so overpowered that people all want to buy them.
