Riot, why can't I comment on someone's comment?

Its not serious or anything but if I want to say something (to that person) then I can comment on their comment. I want to know why you aren't allowing this anymore. And why not improve on it?

I have no idea what you're talking about. You can still reply to individual comments.

Except in GD, which deliberately behaves differently to keep the old "forums" feel to the posts there.

It sounds like you are in "Chronological View". Look for a link that says "Switch to Discussion View" to get back. We store your preference, so it should keep you in Discussion View after you switch.

There have been some problems with the boards as of late being that trying to respond to a comment 5 deep will instead respond to the OP and not the person you are trying to comment on. (happens constantly for me at least even after restarts and cookie/cache dumps)

Hey just ran across this report! I tried to run through and respond to deepest level comments but haven't been able to reproduce this.

Any more details you might have would be awesome (steps to reproduce would be awesome-er, of course)!

I also got a warning and my test post removed on the example i showed yesterday contacted support on the mod removing a bug report example.

Thanks. It was very small unnoticeable. And I wonder why it went to chronological in the first place.

Most likely, you clicked a link that switched you. If you click a link like this, it'll change your view to chronological.

Why is chronological even a view in the first place! it's terrible. I've been hating the boards so much now for no reason because this feature was never readily apparent......
