These Boards are Faux
Ah, my thread was deleted even though it got replies. More proof that Riot doesn't want people speaking about their lack of communication with customers. Here's the deal: They don't read the forums unless they have time. Who has time? Not the Dev and Balance teams. The ESports Coordinator and the Customer Relations guys do, and they are either legally obliged or ordered not to relay information to those teams.
Here are some screenshots of Emails I have from Riot support confirming for about the seventh time both that the boards are not for communication with Riot, but for communication with EACHOTHER (Because WE make game changes, right?) AND that the Support team is unequipped to give us any information besides "Go to the boards. Someone might maybe possibly look at your questions and suggestions, and there's about a .00001% chance that person will be anyone who can actually implement them, and a .01% of THAT that the person will do so."
PBE is NOT for balance testing. PBE is for bug testing ONLY, because ONLY LCS and "a select team [they] have in place to make sure new champions are broken so [they] get more money and mage jungle items are bad so LCS big plays can happen without involving Elise or Evelynn" are the only ones who decide game balance. NOT the millions of paying customers who are the backbone of their company, but the 250 or so people at the very top of play decide balance.
And on the Skin and Champion concepts board? "We made BB Riven, Void Fizz, Surprise Fid, and it only took us three years after stealing the concept to make PP Zac, so that means we look at that board maybe a little sometimes but we always ignore the Champion concepts." There are plenty of good concepts, but they don't look at them at all. I feel sorry for everyone who posts on that board because their ideas will never come to light. These people are almost as bad as EA when it comes to ignoring their customers.
No matter how many upvotes your thread gets, nothing will happen because "[they] take at least year to do anything."
