Then your ult would be very useless 100% in solo lane til you have to wait for your jungler to come by, assuming you used that bonding thingy on him.
Could work, but probably only as good as Varus mid but with less waveclear and a weaker poke.

It is completely viable, as most mid mages have skill shots that need "skill" to hit. Kalista can easily kite and avoid all forms of skill shots. Though when it comes to a laning against 
, or 
it can be a challenge when they get their ults... you are dead. I have seen her go top, because she can practically shred all bruisers.
It would be great for the other team, at the least. You're giving up both your W and your R, so the enemy laner is going to have their way with you.
Doesn't matter what lane she goes, she's still going to win.
