with a team fight comp you are much more likely to be fighting at each others bases or mid lane, and sight stone sort of falls off at that point imo.
I know it's nice to have baron warded but that's about all it's worth at that point. a good damage or tank item could make or break the next fight.

I only would if it's like the very end of the game, you are full build and ahead of the enemy team. Pretty much only if their base is wide open. if not, then keep it as it will help you a lot
Probably not. I'd keep it just for extra vision around ours and there base for delaying an enemies chance in backdooring or find an open space to sneak into there base. Plus, the late game is all about the winning teamfight, so keeping it for warding your surroundings is still an important thing to do to not be caught off guard.
