Just got out of an ARAM. It was back and forth and was a hard fought win. For a while we were just getting shit on and was damn sure we were going to lose but we end up winning in the end... and our Master Yi decides the best course of action is to tell the enemy team they suck and that it was an easy game and ask if they were bots because they were so bad.

I wasn't even the target of this petty fucker and it has me so annoyed. How fucking hard is it to win and not be a dick about it? Or lose and not blame someone else for it? Just shut up and end a game without being a piece of shit.

I agree, partially, because if you flame at all, regardless of game mode, you're a loser (to me). But you're implying that it's not frustrating to lose an ARAM because of its premise. It doesn't matter if it's a fun mode, no one's fault for the amazing comp vs horrible comp.. you still lost, which is frustrating, and being upset over a competition regardless of the conditions is understandable. Howevever, their Yi didn't flame. We aren't talking about a raging saltbag flaming because he lost. Yi needlessly taunted the enemy like a 12 year old child after making a comeback.

I mean... I'm an asshole... I do my best to keep it to myself (unless someone else is overtly being an asshole XD)... We all assume your an asshole... It's ok... That's not what bothers us... The part where you actually take the time out of your day to specifically remind everyone around you that their suspicions are indeed correct and you are in fact an asshole for no reason other than to get a reaction from someone is what bothers us... >.>

I'm an asshole as well. Unlike some people I only show it when it is appropriate and that is where my frustration stems from. I am an asshole to people that deserve it. These people are assholes simply because they want to be mean.

Exactly! It's all about the proper use of assholery (similar to asshattery) in situation and direction. XD I usually keep my mouth shut unless I feel someone is talking out their ass a bit too much... I'm a firm believer that not typing unnecessarily improves your chances of winning; telling someone that their feeding/bad usually affects their performance negatively which translates directly into decreasing your chances of winning... And I want to win... -.-

Had a Thresh just yesterday who whined and trash talked everyone, including allies and enemies, non-stop and it was just annoying af. At some point I just gave up and muted him.

He was the first person I've ever had to mute in the 10+ months I've played this game.

Well there's one very important detail you don't seem to be giving enough attention to.

He was playing Master Yi.

That right there tells me pretty much everything I need to know about his behavior. I'd rather have 4 Rivens, 4 Vaynes or even 4 Teemos on my team than just one Master Yi. Out of all of the Master Yis I've EVER played with or against, only two or three of them were what I would consider to be decent human beings. The rest were all just toxic sperglords from pregame to postgame.

I don't know why, either. It's like that champion just does something to otherwise normal people that turns them into viciously toxic bastards.

That has literally nothing to do with anything I said. ARAM, Twisted Treeline, Summoner's Rift, Dominion, whatever. It makes zero difference to what I said.

In my experience, Master Yi players are ALMOST always irredeemably toxic. Game mode has nothing to do with it. You didn't present a valid point against me, or even about the original post.

If he never played Yi before that ARAM match, then he was just a lousy person. I acknowledge that. But based on my own experience, Yi players are overwhelmingly toxic people.

My point remains. There was a Yi. He was a toxic prick. The pattern continues.

I am abundantly aware that it was random. I know that playing Yi doesn't unerringly make someone toxic. I have admitted to as much several times now. My point, and the ONLY POINT I HAVE BEEN MAKING. Is that IN MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, Yi players are toxic more often than not.

This person happened to be playing Yi. This person happened to be toxic. That much is irrefutable. Literally the only thing I am saying is that RANDOM OR NOT, this conforms to the pattern that I have stated. Randomness of the champion selection makes no difference to my point, as my only point was mentioning a pattern of toxic Yi players.

Leblanc Darius Renekton Gnar All have playerbases that are far more toxic than Yi.

Then again I specifically remember a chart from Riot showing what percentage of people were playing each champion when they got their account suspended, and Yi held the #1 spot lmfao. But that data was from the old tribunal so it's outdated.

If you hate having Yi on your team then you clearly haven't seen a good one at work.

Honestly, I haven't seen much of any of those champs in my recent games. However, none of them have ever filled me with the dread I feel when seeing Yi on the loading screen/pregame lobby.

I have seen plenty of good (in terms of gameplay) Yi players. I've been carried by a few, in fact. I hate seeing Yi on my team because I hate almost all of the people who play him. Constantly flaming and whining all game, taking every single kill and wondering why nobody else on his team is fed. Whining about how heavy his team is and how he's constantly held back by lousy teammates.

It isn't a matter of how they perform in game. It's a matter of how they interact with other people. And I have only been impressed by a Yi's people skills on VERY rare occasions.

LeBlanc has a French playerbase.

Darius has a playerbase of people who don't care about their team, but aren't particularly toxic.

Renekton has no playerbase.

Gnar has a playerbase of people who actually care about their team, as he's a champ who isn't really carry oriented.

Yi has a playerbase of people who think they can carry every single game and if not, then it's their team's fault. He has such a large ability to carry, but people seem to think that means if he doesn't carry, his team is making it uncarryable. Yis in my games tend to be toxic even when they are on the leading team.

I like to say "Yi Z" after i get a quadra or penta with Yi.

unfortunately I got reported and can't really say it any more. People are so fucking sensitive now that they can't even realize I'm being facetious.

Yeah, I think we all have come across players that after a close game the enemy team spams Easy Game, and other annoying things. I usually honor one opponent every game whether it is for skill, behavior doesn't matter; I also report about 10-15 people a day for negative behavior or leaving. So yeah...thats about 300-450 reports a month from me alone. It matters how you win, and how you behave following that. I know most people in this world are assholes, life experience has taught me that and its likely not going to change

Like most people say, it's a competitive game, and since it was a hard fought win that guy probably felt entitled to bragging about it considering how frustrated he might have been. Either way, no excuse to be rude to the enemy team if they gave you a fair challenge. And it's ARAM, it could have been worse. Or better. Honestly.

People flamed and reported me for wanting to finish the game I was playing. I really hate toxic players and/or people who blame others for losing a game when they were not doing so well themselves. I believe Riot should permanently remove them because it really is an issue.
