No real reason behind this but I would like to be able to wager IP on matches I spectate. 100 IP max wager and if your team wins you get 100 IP. If they lose you just lose the 100 IP. Why? Why not? I spectate a lot of matches and just thought this would be fun.
I like the line of thinking as far as making spectating more engaging, but what worries me on this is bots betting on large scale. Granted an easy fix for that would be to make someone watch through the entire match, which could work. Other than that I can imagine it would be a bit tricky to add, although as I've been told Riot's base code is getting better organized with every other patch or so...
All in all, not a bad general idea, only real obstacle is priority, as it is with most tinkering improvements.
Why? Because it would be fun to do and more reasons to spectate matches, Why not? 18+under can't gamble, you can probably change your wager at the end if one team is going to win, and you'd have to be there at the beginning of the game otherwise. Sometimes me and my friends bet mystery skins on the LCS matches. That's better then betting IP and is more worth it.
And then you see the introduction of fixed matches.
Nope bad idea.
Don't like the idea of encouraging "gambling" methods. This isn't a casino or race track to bet on. Even if just IP, it's a bad idea.
I do like the idea. nintendo lets people bet coins on smash brothers why not on this game too. puts a bit of excitement back into the game ip wise that is. sure gambling is illegal in some places but can't be disastrous if you're wagering useless currency right?
we arent talking $$$ we are talking IP that you can only get in game by playing. problem isnt the 'gambling" the problem if people are "winning" ip they can buy champs where they would of bought with RP /$$$ and riot dont want to lose their $$$
dude forget about the IP I want the big RP bets
