No real reason behind this but I would like to be able to wager IP on matches I spectate. 100 IP max wager and if your team wins you get 100 IP. If they lose you just lose the 100 IP. Why? Why not? I spectate a lot of matches and just thought this would be fun.

Granted an easy fix for that would be to make someone watch through the entire match, which could work. Other than that I can imagine it would be a bit tricky to add, although as I've been told Riot's base code is getting better organized with every other patch or so...
All in all, not a bad general idea, only real obstacle is priority, as it is with most tinkering improvements.

Dax Ayrton2 votesI don't think that's actually correct. Do Chuck E. Cheese's and those arcades where you get coins back count as gambling? If not, then it's the same case as "gambling" for IP. Neither the coins earned at the arcade nor the IP can be traded for real money in any way, and 100 IP is of little consequence.

Because it would be fun to do and more reasons to spectate matches, Why not? 18+under can't gamble, you can probably change your wager at the end if one team is going to win, and you'd have to be there at the beginning of the game otherwise. Sometimes me and my friends bet mystery skins on the LCS matches. That's better then betting IP and is more worth it.
