More of me ranting about Riot's fail at April Fools jokes.

I'm going to try and list a few. I feel like these would be funny or at the least mildly entertaining, unlike the last few. -champion reveal of a incredibly bizarre and derpy champion (not even a full fledged champion spotlight but maybe an event or a teaser for a ridiculous champion) -new VOs that are all just rick rolls -Announcement of the deletion of a popular champion (E.G. Lee Sin) and a gamemode that makes each game OFA but with just that one champion (and possibly crazy buffs to go with it) -A "PBE" gamemode (that's really just RGM) where a bunch of champions get insane buffs that don't relate to their playstyle at all. (Sejuani now gets triple crit chance from items, Lee Sin autos now scale off of Ap with a 2.0 scaling, etc) -New sound effects that are completely a cappella (imagine jinx going "pew pew pew" for every auto attack)

I don't know why Riot has gone for something that disrupts games 2 years in a row. Draven heads made teamfights a mess and were distracting. they were hilarious for a period of time but after a while just looked like crappy stickers that should have been able to be turned off. This year it was highly confusing for a good number of people and ruined games because people actually thought they were facing bots.

This year I didn't laugh. There wasn't a "gotcha" moment, it was just kinda like "oh right it's april fools and this is just a joke, am I supposed to laugh?" I know my opinion isn't universal and some people might have thought that this was a good joke but most of what I'm seeing in game and on the boards is a high dislike for this "joke".

A model April Fools joke IMO was Clash of Clans announcing clan wars. It followed the ridiculous and over the top announcement of level 5 Valkyries. The initial video was a massive controversy but it was still a good joke in itself. The later announcement of clan wars was just stellar. It was a good switcharoo at the time. I was legitimately angry for a moment that they would make level 5 Valkyries over clan wars but moments later I could help but laugh. To recap It was absurd, unexpected, and absolutely hilarious. It helps that COC had a massive point of contention already (forums were awash with clan war requests), but I think Riot could try something like it next year. I know riot can make good jokes. The "welcome to planet urf" login screen still has me laughing at how over the top and amazing it is. I don't know what went wrong the past two years and I'm not expert on humor, but forcing the community to deal with a crappy April Fools joke that legitimately affects game play is not the way to go.
