Why do I bother?

I buy a champ that people tell me is fun, and I like them. Then I keep going against people who quite literally just walk up, right click (or left click) on me, and AFK as they win, no matter what I do -- it's either that, or some bullshit like Zac, Malph and etc who build full tank and still 100-0 people in a second or two.

Makes me wonder why I bother playing anything that isn't just click and win. The LC$ champ pool was like 25 champs for good reason -- so why do I even play anything else, even if I find most of those champs boring as all hell?

Only way to win, unfortunately -- and apparently Riot thinks that's okay.

Are you not using your E or W? They typically do a lot of damage. Happens when you have absurd base damage and % health scalings.

I use my skills a bit actually and usually have a little bit of cooldown to boot.granted they do have some decent base damage and one is based off max health or maybe current health(sorry i would look it up but i am at work) but i think they have to be building something else to kill you that fast or what are you playing? i ask just to try to help :).

Literally every single Cinderhulk full tank Zac. If you build Runic Echoes and u get more AP, sure - but full tank Zac cant 100-0 u.

competitive pool shouldnt bother you. it had stuff like aurelion sol and orianna who are while strong are quite helpless against assassins and they didnt even picked ahri in the worlds who is one of the best soloq mids statistically

The competitive roster does bother me, because they abuse what is very obviously broken -- moreso than solo queue or anything like that; they play champs with minimal counterplay and greatest results: tanks that deal assassin-level damage, braindead clickers loaded with CC and absurd damage, and ADCs who are literal gods in every way.

Riot knows all that, and pro play just exemplifies it, yet they continue to act as if they give a fuck about balance when, obviously, they don't. To Riot, it's just one big cash grab, and nothing more.

So I have to wonder why I bother playing anything that isn't whale-approved to be lucrative in a shitty F2P cash grab.

And, as for Ahri, the amount of skill you have is determined by how much CC you have -- the higher your ELO, the more CC your team will have. Ahri is shut down by any CC, and high ELO play is loaded with it.

Can Ahri ult or make use of her mobility while stunned? Can she charm anyone while silenced? Can she use her MS boost on her Q to get away if she's rooted?

My point is that Ahri has to get in close to do anything, and that's when CC comes into play. Some bullshit like Syndra, Viktor and the like can just mash buttons from a mile away and delete you from out of your reach.

now you mistake her for annie she easily outranges syndra on some abilities

btw she has a significantly higher winrate than syndra on champion.gg and it counts platinum and higher only

Really? She outranges Syndra? That's news to me. You might clip her with your Q if she walks at you, but that's the extent of "outranging" her.

Honestly man it's about finding champs you can grove with. It's just that simple. I play a lot of off picks but they are whom i can work with and i am good at them they maybe off meta but i can kill many of the meta pool with them no problem. For example i jg main and i play vi, nunu, volibear,shyvanna,sejauni,j4,kindred just to name a few and i usually do quite fine if i have a good team.

Ahri Lux Orianna

^ I've beaten Zeds, Yasuos, LeBlancs, Fizzes, Talons, Akalis and Katarinas with these three champions and they all require some skillshot to be effective. That being said, I didn't learn to beat them in the first game, I actually had to work at how to play against them. I'll lose lane probably 1 in 30 games in a straight 1v1 or 1 in 15 if the enemy Jungler is smart and ganks me pre 6.
