Does Riot ever plan on revamping the Ranked System?

I know it's a team game, but I don't think 4 other players should dictate MY skill level, and whether or not a I climb. Being good at the game only increases your chance of winning. CHANCE, the game shouldn't be a win or lose on a flip of a coin, and whether you get godly players or 4 people on tilt.

I don't think it's fair for me, to do better then everyone else in the game in terms of kda, damage, towers, objectives, etc.. And still somehow lose because everyone else is incompetent.

I don't know how such a system would work, but I'd think it would be somewhat similar to that of the mastery system.

They don't do this because the Nexus kill is the only point that matters, and how you achieve that is irrelevant. Bad scores do not necessarily mean you contributed less to the win, and good scores do not necessarily mean you were carrying your team.

If you were given points based on your perceived performance due to stats, then people would play for having good stats instead of actually winning. Kill stealing, afk farming, running away from team fights so you don't die in a fight that you would've won for your sacrifice etc. would all become more important than the ultimate objective. It would ruin LoL immediately.

Doing all the things you would want to be scored for increase your chances of winning like you said. If you do those things giving you higher chances of winning you will win more. There may be individual games where you lose even if you do well, but over time your rank is going to reflect your ability the overwhelming majority of the time.

The only real downside of a win based ranking system is that it takes a high number of games to show anything meaningful, but it cuts out encouraging all kinds of selfish play.
